Hi, I'm Diddle. I'm 26 and a lesbian.

main: @saesyndrome (i follow from here)

art blog: @diddlesnap

My favorite characters are Sleekwhisker, Hollyleaf, Ivypool, Needletail, and Mapleshade. I don't particularly care for ANY wc men whatsoever.

Feel free to send drawing requests or questions!

Now to the main part of this post: as someone who grew up being "pro-ship", i just want to say that it was the primary method through which i was groomed online. It is extremely dangerous to push this rhetoric (with terms made by and for pedophiles, might I add!) through a series made for children and teenagers in a fandom full of children and teenagers. I am not interested in arguing about this.

So tl;dr: block me if you call normal people antis

i NEED to have more angst about Ivypool kind of freaking out about Bristlefrost having the same suffix with her enemy who literally tried to kill her leader and her at some point??

I don't think it's touch on that much.

i really dont care for the fanon depiction but hawkleaf really does make more sense... give the fire and tiger prophecy a dual meaning. have the three still be related to tigerstar. have the relationship be "tainted" not only by being a half clan relationship and birthed by a medicine cat, but also have been sired by a cat who tried to kill firestar.

Dude I also hated flametails pov. Idek remember why it's been too long it just pissed me off so much and took forever to get through

well the thing is besides giving an inside look into shadowclan, it's functionally useless. he has a pov for ONE book iirc and he has very little personality. it's almost like he was the prototype for violetshine's in-shadowclan pov. it's bad enough we have to have more jayfeather and lionblaze pov chapters in oots but they also give us tigerhearts cardboard cutout of a brother. genuinely we did not need more than dovewing and ivypool's povs.

the only trustworthy wc fans seem to be lesbians. anyways can you tell me more about sleekwhisker and needletail bc i love their names and their yuri? but dont trust whatever the fandom at large or the wiki tells me

Avatar

unfortunately while needletail is one of the most complex characters that warriors has to offer, my babygirl sleekwhisker. is not. she's written to be a bitch at all times and is contrarian with no real consistency of values (but such is the life of a teenager #teen). shes basically a hired goon. which is unfortunate bc something interesting could have been done with the fact shes tigerstar's great granddaughter, her grandfather is the leader of shadowclan, and her uncle is deputy. but iirc none of that is touched on at all. popular fanon is that she killed her mother, dawnpelt, but that didnt really happen. popular fanon is also that she was the one to kill needletail, but that probably isn't the case either. she and needletail are obviously friends, but they really dont interact much unfortunately, especially after the kin take over shadowclan. so unfortunately sleekneedle is also almost entirely fanon :/ my poor underutilized meow meow.

that said sleekneedle is awesome i love the angst and i especially love mean lesbians. they're butch4butch to me.

Something that really bugs me about this fandom is the weird switch-up on TigerDove. Like, before Tigerheart's Shadow most people thought it was...well, bad, for a lot of reasons.

People seem to forget how creepy their early relationship was. Even if we put aside the fact that Dovewing was an apprentice (and before anyone says some bs about them not being that far apart in age-neither are Frostpaw and Splashtail and that one is rightfully treated as weird) he uses her for his own purposes. The dude uses his relationship with her to ransom her sister. Hell, he uses straight up SpottedThistle creepy phrases constantly saying shit like "we have a connection...you saved me so now we're bonded for life" or whatever the hell.

Even after all that, he's still not even all that great to her in his own SE. "How dare my wife raise our children to accept the ways of the outsiders that took them in!!!" Dude SHUT UP. Hell, there's a few moments in the newer books that rub me the wrong way too, like in Ivypool's Heart when he snaps at Ivypool that she "sounds like her sister" because her clan is important to her. Ah yes, this is the perfect example of a man who loves his wife

Listen; I don't care if someone likes these two. I actually quite enjoy the more fanon depiction they have of "guy who loves his wife and the wife who is actually the one running things" but it just bothers me that people act like that's what their relationship is and always was, or that it was just "a rough start".

Also it's sometimes used as an argument against saying Tigerheartstar isn't a great guy...as if loving your wife automatically makes you a good person? Dude, some of the worst people alive still loved their families, that doesn't really work. Like you can admit a character you like is a bad person you don't have to make excuses

TLDR: It bothers me when people act like this couple is and always has been super sweet and wholesome when they really weren't. Ship it if you want idc, just not for me

cinderheart/lionblaze in the context of cinderholly is so insane to me!!!!!! like. if it was a secret relationship, do you think lionblaze ever picks up on it? the way cinderheart seems to freeze up at certain phrases, behaviors, injokes from when they were kids? the way it seems like she's always looking for something in him, something that's under the surface -- mannerisms, a certain sense of humor, the way his sharp tongue reminds him so much of his mother sometimes, and jayfeather's too, and -- well, he can't think of that now. cinderheart clinging to lionblaze because he's the last thing she has left of hollyleaf, and it's not that she loves him for who he is, but she loves him for the parts of him that are close enough to hollyleaf to pass as her.

For the people saying that are saying bad take on Needletail (not the original anon): Needletail literally broke the warrior code multiple times and was trespassing on Windclan land; while she was the one to find Twigkit and Violetkit, was okay with separating the two; sent Violetkit on a mission alone when she wasn't allowed to meet up with her 'boyfriend'; knew that the Kin killed Skyclan cats and STILL joined up with them; only had a change of heart after Rain died; and probably wouldn't hesitate to kill any cat other than Violetpaw. She was extremely selfish throughout her life and she did shitty things thay went entirely against her clan and yet somehow her 'selfless' action in saving Violetpaw still landed her in Starclan.

I agree what Juniperclaw did was outrageous, somehow her behavior was not? The inconsistency on how they try to write redeemable makes me want to vomit because 1 action cannot undo their prior ones. Characters like Needletail and Onestar deserve the Dark Forest.

generalizing fans of certain characters isnt very constructive and i know this. but there's something about onestar that seems to attract the most miserable people..and its SO FUNNY bc these ppl will talk abt how much they hate ivypool or mapleshade or whatever. and its like. YOU'RE A ONESTAR FAN!!! do you only like nuanced characters of theyre men or what????

saw ur post post getting vauged for ur wc opinion and I also got vauged once for making a crack au, the thing is is that I did make onestar out of character which I get in hindsight but it's so funny that op couldn't have made it more obvious since my au is directly about a character that appeared once, atleast make it abit subtle lmao

all the characters r ooc in canon half the time who cares 😭😭😭 onestar fans r fucking crazy
