A strong person in every sense of the word. He can break your neck or set your dislocated joint equally easily. A very gifted autodidact. His main concern is the others, never the man himself. A selfless man. A man of principle. Someone you can always rely on.

do we think the married man will make an instagram post or post something on his story on valentine's day featuring his wife... I get the feeling he will. he's a loving soul.

he did. he's going 🫰 in one of the pics. so cute. *eye twitches*

stakh fact #586: he swore the hippocratic oath. okay ❤ yay ❤

but he also... apparently killed a lethargic, possibly incapacitated(?) simon (in patho classic at least). with his own hands.

crazy.

I'm currently looking through his lines because the wiki says

"An avid believer in Bos Turokh and the cult of bulls, he cares about the protection of the Kin and the morals of natural law."

I'm trying to investigate that claim, because that would be an interesting aspect of his characterization + quite a departure from patho 2 self. but... he doesn't talk to artemy or daniil about bos turokh at all in patho classic hd. searching for just "bull" also returns no results.

he does talk to clara about it, but not really in a way that indicates these are beliefs he shares:

"Simon was more than a mere human. He had transfigured his entire essence in such a way that every particle of his being would align with the law of universal harmony. Simon had fashioned himself after Bos Turokh-so they said at the Kin, meaning that for them, he had become divine."

(so they said. for them. not us.)

Clara: Who is Bos Turokh?

"The World Bull. He out of whom the Universe was made. Everything that happens to this being, all of its vital processes, all of its shapes, are signs and semblances reflecting all that was, is, or will be in this world. All creatures carry that knowledge within-but the Universal Bull and its semblances embody it fully!"

(he does sound like he's giving a bit more credence to it, in this line.)

Clara: This is heresy, Rubin. This is so not how the Universe was created!

"This is what the people of the Steppe believe. And I'm telling you that Simon… is more than a man. I'll go on working on him for a long time yet. And Victor and Georgiy aren't going to stop me!"

(again, look at the way he talks about this. I guess it could be implying that he believes this stuff too, since he makes a vaccine out of simon's blood so there must be some supernatural properties to it, and "I'm telling you that Simon is more than a man." but I feel like he doesn't talk like he personally thinks this is true.)

I sound like I'm opposed to the idea of him being a bos turokh worshipper... I'm not, at all. I think it's really interesting if that is the case, if he is spiritual in a way you might not expect. also it would add to the idea of him having kin ancestry. I'm just trying to get to the bottom of why it says that on the wiki so I can understand him better. okay?

also the association of simon with bos turokh is really really interesting. never thought about it that way before. that simon made him self bos turokh-like... hmm.

stakh fact #587:

what the hell else has he dissected? 😲

it's... bad...? [turns left and right] haha. uh. yeah guys. it's so bad. it's terrible... totally...

watching the video. obsessed with this guy saying the game "exudes the absurdity of eric andre mixed with the aggression of a tim robinson bit" uh... I.......... are those really the best cultural touchstones you have? for this game? really?

he also compares it to bennett foddy's getting over it vis a vis the self-aware narrator commenting on the absurdity of what's happening. okay. that I will accept.

I'm being a little hater. the video is fine. some of his points are very much "baby's first media analysis" ("the narrator is actually not the devil himself. it's her intrusive thoughts 🤓" no shit...) but it's fine. as long as his video gets more people to play it... I guess...
