hiii remember that post u made about kateclaire and how they only interact in 11 episodes? you don't by any chance have a list of which episodes specifically?
Hello! The episodes I was referring to are:
Season 1, Episode 5 "White Rabbit"
Season 1, Episode 20 "Do No Harm"
Season 2, Episode 12 "Fire + Water"
Season 2, Episode 15 "Maternity Leave"
Season 4, Episode 4 "Eggtown"
Season 4, Episode 14 "There's No Place Like Home Part 3"
Season 6, Episode 3 "What Kate Does"
Season 6, Episode 6 "Sundown"
Season 6, Episode 8 "Recon"
Season 6, Episode 13 "The Last Recruit"
Season 6, Episode 17 "The End"
(Note: They technically interact in Season 5, Episode 4 "The Little Prince", but it's a repeated scene from "Do No Harm", so I didn't include it. Also, they appear on-screen together in "Homecoming" and "The Candidate", but they never speak a word to each other. Technically, they don't speak in "Fire + Water" either, but I decided to include it because of how involved Kate is in the Charlie/Claire drama).
Lost & NY Post Headlines
Sometimes I think about the original plan that the Lost writers had for Claire, which was that she was a surrogate mother for her friends, and wonder how that would have played out. It's kind of hilarious to think about the image of Claire just kind of being a glorified babysitter for two months. Like, she gives birth but it's... not her baby? So she just has to carry the thing around for 2 months like "If I let this fucking kid die, his parents are gonna be so pissed".
Also, this would have made Kate keeping the baby soooo much more problematic and complex. And you know I like problematic and complex women ;)
If you ever feel like being sad, you can always think about how Kate left the Others' village on Christmas Eve morning, presumably without telling Claire what was happening, which means Claire woke up alone in a house on Christmas Eve. She's had abandonment issues her entire life, her boyfriend just died, and now her friend (or her girlfriend) is gone.
Also, if you wanted to be even more sad, you could think about the fact that if Kate was living with her still, there's a higher chance that they both would've escaped the house before it explodes in "The Shape of Things to Come", which means the MIB would have never gotten her, and they both would've probably made it off the island. Even if they didn't dodge the explosion, Kate would have never let her wander into the jungle with Christian. So... yeah... maybe Claire had a grudge against Kate for several reasons in season 6.
"Merry Christmas, please don't call" or whatever.
lesbian situationship just took a WILD turn
Guys. Kate and Claire interact in ELEVEN episodes. Out of ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE. We've been losing our minds over 11 episodes.
New levels of delusion have been reached.
Ok, but, what were they saying to each other off-screen Lost writers?? What were they saying that was so scandalous you couldn't include it?? Were they flirting?? I bet they were flirting.
I feel like kate/claire posting but I have no. original. thoughts.
