Everyone is discussing potential “Charles thinking he’s dating Edwin while Edwin thinks they’re just friends” concepts, and I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone mention that in England it’s pretty common for people to use “love” and “babes” platonically

Edwin has heard countless people refer to complete strangers as love, and even call their close friends babes, so when Charles starts calling him affectionate terms he just assumes it’s modern slang and not a romantic thing

Meanwhile Charles doesn’t even realise calling Edwin babe could be read as platonic because it’s usually women who call each other that, and he went to an all boys school so the only women he knew well were girlfriends or family members

The “dead boys undercover in drag” plotline needs to happen specifically so the boys can experience wearing a spinny skirt for the first time

We already know edwin is fine with posing as a woman, but if anything will get charles on board with pretending to be a girl it’s a spinny skirt

The fact I haven’t seen any dbda internet/youtuber/influencer AUs despite Jayden literally being a twitch streamer is ridiculous, someone make it happen

The lanterns in dbda represent when a character is literally carrying a torch for someone, this is why the lantern is left in hell when Edwin and Charles escape, because that’s the moment Edwin decides to stop keeping his feelings a secret.

We don’t actually get to see much of Charles’ smack talk in the pilot, I need to know what he said while setting up the rope and pulley that made Monty hate him so much
