A modern home vary from a design to another. One must only remember that it should stay true to the owner's design and your aesthetics. If in doubt, start with ebony and ivory then take it up from there. Not only will it look good, but you will be able to notice anything off in case you've placed something not in complement with the room.
Bedrooms are usually the time for reading. Make sure you see the texts clearly by choosing a long lamp that can adjust to your posture no matter what your position is. Also, remember that an earth palette can really give you that fresh feeling of reading under the tree. Just make sure to not overdo it. The secret is to be subtle as much as possible while getting your point across.
A mirror is perfect anywhere to make a room seem bigger, a so is a photograph and a plant as well as a faux fur, according to the picture. Just make sure that it complements well with the room to avoid a clash in colours and maintain harmony.
