Marble everywhere.
Imagine waking up to this every morning. It is always refreshing to wake up to a beautiful view and jumpstart your day with a smile on your face every single time. Hence, it's important that you love your space and will keep loving it no matter what.
A great way to put your toiletries without cluttering your bedroom is to make a platform for it. If you have a big family, take inspiration from the photo above and design the platform as if it was a staircase for easy access.
For a few unique feel in the bathroom, why not treat it just like your bedroom? Put up or sketch a design on the wall and place a small carpet beside or before the shower. Just be mindful that carpets can accumulate bacteria if left moist so make sure it stays clean and dry at least every other day. Take inspiration from this bathroom design that seems to emphasise the dark ambiance of the room by creating a raw feel of the environment. (If you have a weak heart and a wild imagination, I suggest you don't do exactly this to your bathroom unless you want to scare yourself every time you come in).
A wall design can really make or break a room. If you happen to like post-apolocalyptic impression, start with the walls and go from there just like in the photo.
Breathtaking view: try to put your bathtub in front of your window and witness the city change as you relax and unwind after a day's hard work. Another tip, use a basket with lid for your toiletries. It can double as a mini chair for applying lotion and other things.
Use daylight as your light for the rest of the day to save electricity bills and have that fresh feeling all throughout. Do this for the bathroom or kitchen, whichever you prefer and mimic the ambiance of this very room. Plus, it's free!
I'm not one for huge spaces in the bathroom (I'm afraid that I might slip and hit my head). But this is a great way to make your bathroom a heavenly escape after a day's hard work. Just imagine looking at the starry night or the early morning breeze thru your bathroom glass. Now, you know.
Talk about minimalism. Accent a room with a pop of color or two. Stay away from bright colours if you want to make the environment pleasant- looking. Always remember that harmony is much more important than standing out when it comes to design.
Add more flare to your bedroom by making an open shower. The divider can still be used in the case of Number 2, but a steamy night or morning shower for your beau to see is definitely a good treat.
Bathrooms must always give a calming vibe and a relaxing nature. Try to capture the same feeling by using wooden accents (refer to my previous posts for details on wooden design) or a wide window for light to pass through. It will provide a more welcoming vibe and give you the chance to relax and take time. (Photo from My Dream Home Gallery app)
Curtains used as a divider can still look elegant if it complements the color palette of the room. Hence, opt for a more versatile color if you're the type who likes changing things up from time to time. Also, like our towels, curtains can be home for germs, bacteria and the likes, so make sure to use antibacterial sprays every other day and clean the curtain every week or twice a month.
