Angsty Sirius scenario
It’s the Christmas break of first year, Sirius is staying with the potters for the first time and is shocked at all the love they bring, but at this point it’s been a few days and he’s happy to be there
James and Sirius are running around in the kitchen, mucking about when James accidentally makes a glass fall
“Oh whoops-“
Sirius is panicking, heart racing eyes wide and he frantically starts picking up the glass with his hands, no time to get a broom and keeps repeating that’s it ok and he’ll take the blame as his breathing gets quicker
“Its ok James it’s ok I’ll take that blame- its ok its ok” as he moves he cuts his fingers but just keeps picking up the glass, licking his fingers when they bleed absent minded and James is confused, why is Sirius panicking? It’s just a glass!
Effie comes in and goes “oh dear!” And Sirius is now on the verge of tears
“I’m sorry I’m sorry I didn’t mean to I’m sorry-“ backing up and hits the wall with his back, his fingers bleeding and Effie comes over and holds his shoulders and says “Sirius Sirius calm yourself ok? It’s ok it’s just a glass, you’re safe in this house ok?”
Effie cleans Sirius’s hands, cleans up the glass and reassures him it’s ok, that was the day Effie knew that if Sirius ever needed a home, she would be happy to give him one.
