Right now, Diya is separated from his family in Gaza and has been for over a year. His family is facing the second winter since they were displaced from their home. The winters in Gaza are harsh. People are taking shelter in flimsy tents, that don't protect them from the wind and rain. The rain brings with it flooding that destroys everything. Diseases are spreading with no access to proper sanitation and medical care. When they went to receive polio vaccinations, they witnessed an IOF attack on the taxi in front of them.

The last donation was 6 hours ago, and there have only been 4 donations in the 24 hours. We need to help Diya reach his short-term goal of 30% so he can help his family purchase winter supplies that they need to survive. It is already November. There is literally no time to waste. My story is the story of my family, consisting of 6 boys and 3 girls, but two of them got married. My family and I lived in complete comfort. We have a simple house that accommodates us, we have the most beautiful clothes, and we eat the best foods. However, my father and mother suffer from chronic diseases. I finished high school with a score of 90%, thank God Almighty. I started university and I was happy and joyful to start university in the field that I love. I paid my fees that I collected with difficulty. I only studied for two weeks🤍

. Then came the day that prevented me from completing my joy, broke me, disappointed me, and completely extinguished my life and my family’s. October 7. A new story began, and unfortunately I did not complete my studies😓💔.The journey of displacement from one place to another began. The bombing was above us and we spent it crying and fearing a lot for our children😥😥. We did not find safety in any of them. The second day of the war, we received the shocking and painful news for our hearts and my father’s heart more because he built it with his hardship and fatigue😓💔. It was the bombing of our house in which we lived for twenty years and we have many memories that we will not forget.

On 10/13/2023, we were forced to move to the Deir al-Balah area in the middle of the Gaza Strip. This area will remain in our memory because we found hardship, fatigue and intense sadness there. We live in a tent in the intense heat that is filled with small insects and disgusting mice that no one can bear to live in a place like this😥💔

.We suffer from the lack of water and the high prices that are beyond imagination, and other than that, the children of my family who lived their childhood in tents, war, and toilets and lined up in long lines to get bread. This is their childhood, and they are supposed to be in school, entertained and happy, and have all their needs that are lacking now😓💔

After graduating, I started a small cleaning products business in Gaza with my brother, Aboud. We built a modest lab from scratch, and over time, it became a stable source of income for our family. We dreamed of expanding and creating more opportunities, but our hopes were shattered when relentless airstrikes destroyed everything we had built, reducing our lab and future to rubble.

The war didn’t just take away our business; it also separated me from my family. It has been over a year since I’ve seen my wife and child in person. For the second time, my family and I are displaced in the same devastated city, Dier Al-Balah. This time, we are living on muddy ground. When it rains, the land turns into a swamp, making it nearly impossible to move. Even when it's dry, the water on the surface creates unbearable conditions. the extreme weather makes it even worse. In winter, the cold and rain are unbearable, and in summer, the heat is suffocating. We have nothing stable to hold on to.
