something that i find really interesting about hs ship names is that “pun” ship names like cotton candy, PB&J, etc. were used a lot more in the early years of homestuck than they are now, when the majority of the fandom will just say janeroxy and gamtav (with the exception of rosemary).

however, once the june toblerone happened, people started using the the pun ship names for ships with egbert in them to include both john and june, like communism instead of johnkat/junekat, pepsicola instead of johndave/junedave, grimdorks instead of johnrose/junerose, roxygen instead of johnroxy/juneroxy, etc.
