🇨🇺The world stands with Cuba and against the US blockade!
Once again, an overwhelming majority has voted in the United Nations General Assembly against the US blockade on Cuba. 187 countries voted to end the blockade. The US and its ally Israel voted against and Moldova abstained from voting. The world, as it has done since 1992, once again sends a clear message to the US to end it's imperialist practices against Cuba and against other Global South countries.

It would finally make manufacturers design vehicles that are safer for pedestrians and cyclists, instead of the massive wall-of-steel front ends that are excessively deadly for no reason. Europe already has rules like this, but unless we comment in approval, they're not going to do anything to halt the increasing pedestrian deaths in our country.

Calling the findings of its comprehensive survey of American workplace practices “total bullshit,” the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment issued a report Monday concluding that you should be able to retire after, like, six years of working full time. “We evaluated the data around current U.S. employment rates, and our research shows that it’s basically crazy that we have to waste our whole damn lives working before we can retire,” said report co-author Sarah Middleton, who explained that six years is actually a really long time and that it sounds like more than enough labor for one person. “Our research found that people have to work and stuff or else nothing would get done, but anything more than half a decade or so seems cruel and excessive. That has to be hundreds of hours of work, right? And after consulting with experts across the field, we determined that six years was a totally reasonable amount of time to pay your dues before you get to kick back and chill.

it really is the most Pokémon thing ever that they made a route full of rapid water that if you're lucky you might navigate in just the right spot to find an area you can dive, and you follow that along and find a cave where everything is written in Braille - like, the language made for the visually-impaired which can only be read by touching it, which you obviously cannot do through an LCD screen - which if you somehow manage to read it you find out you need to A) use Dig, which if you do happen to have on you you then need B) a fucking Wailord and Relicanth, two late-game kinda hard to get Pokémon I guarantee extremely few people would ever have used one of on their team never mind both water-types at the same time for some reason, and if you DO manage to do all of that it unlocks three caves across the region which it doesn't even tell you where they are and you have to solve more braille puzzles and your prize is 3 pokemon that just arent even good

This is really funny because the japanese, european and australian instruction manuals came with braille guides that talk about what it is, the history and how to read it.

"If the US did universal healthcare we'd have to wait months for procedures like they do in Canada" in the US it takes five to eight months to get a dentist appointment and four to get a general check-up.

The US has a doctor shortage as well, due to the combined forces of "people treating doctors like absolute dogshit during covid" and "older doctors retiring early during covid" and "medical school being hideously expensive" and "doctors are now expected to spend like 2+ extra hours a day answering messages on MyChart and so they burn out and go into private practice for rich folk" and "the best money in doctoring is being a private doctor for rich people and there's so much less corporate bullshit" and "healthcare practices keep getting bought out by bigger companies that are horribly managed". it's a shitshow.
