colored the little comic, since i felt like it. more doodles too. sorry that they’re in a different art style in each image. i don’t know what happened.

i’m trying to work out dialogue and how each of them talk, so sorry if it’s a bit clunky. keep in mind, though, that they aren’t supposed to be EXACTLY like the trolls’. i’m trying to make them a bit different.

adult equius is kind of scary looking. his eyes are too bright.

hypothetical au where all the trolls come back to life and grow up after being the alpha kids’ sprites or something i don’t know i just wanted to draw a funny picture

(although he does have scars from being decapitated. all of the former sprites do, i always draw them with them. why? it looks cool, i dunno)

Pt2

Something I find interesting about how Equius is portrayed is how little the reader is encouraged to identify with him. His strength does not make him unbeatable in combat, in fact it hinders his ability to fight by preventing weapon use. His social power is negated by the fact that no one takes him seriously except Nepeta, and by the end of the game she has lost any fear of disobeying his orders. His mechanical prowess is teased as a potential source of power when he makes vriska hit herself with her robot arm, but this is also negated when he attempts to make aradiabot fall in love with him and it doesn't work.
