[ARCANE S2 E1-3 SPOILERS] There's a bit of a contradiction here. You can't bring up how other people can't handle complex female characters while in the same breath trying to downplay the character's actions.

Cait's fall into fascism is a bold and interesting development that invites analysis and discussion, while the idea that she's just an angry, grieving woman is, ironically, not being able to handle a complex female character.

You can still like Cait as a character while acknowledging that her calling people "animals", giving them lung cancer, going on a cop revenge spree, trying to murder a child and becoming a fascist leader are all bad things she did. It means the writers are doing a good job.
