do you think frodo ever exaggerated a little when talking about how bad he was feeling at the beginning of the quest because he’s gay and hoped sam would pick him up? and sam kind of knows or suspects that frodo’s not being entirely honest but he’s also gay and loves showing off around him so he’s like “well, mister frodo, i guess i’ll have to carry you for a while then” and does so while frodo keeps sublty commenting on how strong he is while sam tries not to let it show that he’s getting a little heavy
