This was very rushed and turned out bad, but the last two weeks had been crazy and on top of that I’m now self-isolating alone at home… which sucks, especially now that I should finally be on holiday :’) I wanted to do a whole “5 days till Christmas” thing, but didn’t find the time… I just had to post this silly thing born from a tweet from dear @pochiperpe90

Joe x Nicky? A classic. Lovely. Sturdy. Joe doesn’t even pretend to be annoyed by Nicky’s interest in spices. They have banter. Compliment and care for each other continuously. They’re interested in one another even after all this time together.

Book of Nile? Inquiries about being single. The two babies of the family finding each other. New immortals. Two types of modernity meeting. The only two who were born in the current era and so far removed from the other immortals. Still incredibly attached to their families.

Joe x Nicky x Booker? Looots of banter. Booker willingly bothering Nicky because he knows he can; Joe pretending to be bothered by their interaction. Play fights over stupid things. Nicky and Joe still being interested in one another and Booker, asking each other questions. Domestic chatter.

Andy x Quỳnh? Bonding over grief and loss. There’s distance between the two of them but they just cannot let each other go. It doesn’t matter if they’re apart because they will find each other again.

Nile dreams of Quynh breaking free from the coffin that first night?

ok I’m still upset by this scene between Quynh and Andy after Lykon’s death (it’s three pages but this is the bit that got me)

based on reading this and knowing that greg wrote andy/noriko to be a thing in the comics after he wrote the screenplay… i do wonder if they cut down the stuff with lykon etc to make it more ambiguous about andy and quynh, possibly so they can make andy/quynh canon in the sequel… much to think about!
