The hard copy proof has arrived!!

Hello everyone! We’re sorry it’s been such a long time before you’ve gotten an update. Some chaos arose (both book-related and personal), but the books are printing and we’ll be starting to ship them out next week.

We got the hard copy a few days ago and found some errors in the file (pixilated images), which had to be fixed. So after a few days of back and forth with Jennifer at the printing company, the books have been fixed and are on the way.

I heavily apologize for the wait. Everyone has been so patient, and I know we haven’t been as communicative as I should have been, but now I know for next time (should there be a next time) that we’ll have to add more mods and have a team working on the project, rather then just two people as it became an awfully big project and should have had more hands on deck.

With that, however, we will be shipping books out next week. I will absolutely let you know when they have started to go out, and give you an update when we’ve finished sending them. In the meantime, I’ll be spending tonight and tomorrow packaging the merchandise so it’s done ahead of time.

We are currently having a small issue with PayPal’s verification that should hopefully be resolved tomorrow. We will make an announcement when this is completed and payment is able to be taken through PayPal. Until then, we will be accepting payment with Stripe.

This is a Charity zine. All proceeds not used in the manufacturing of this zine and its merchandise will be donated to The Trevor Project, a suicide intervention service for LGBT+ youth.

It appears we have an Italian cover for Magnus Chase. Title has been changed to The Sword of the Warrior. What do you guys think?

RecentlyHeard.com is also hosting the first five chapters of The Sword of Summer, the first book in Rick Riordan’s new Norse mythology series, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. If you couldn’t or didn’t read them at Hypable, this is a good alternative.

What’s even more important in this news, however, is that Recently Heard has also released a series of five character cards that give us a nice glimpse into the main characters of the book, what they look like, and on which side they’re on– including our hero, Magnus himself.

You can take a look at the character cards above, but once more, A WARNING: BEWARE SPOILERS. If you don’t want to know anything about the characters until you read the book, you better not look at these too closely!
