Sometimes I think about Joe and Nicky and what a beautiful well-balanced relationship they have.

Yusuf Al-kaysani was a merchant, so a smart man, good in maths and with business, he wasn't a "barbaric bad illiterate mena" - stereotype , instead he is a skilled artist, a lover of the arts. A badass warrior with a good heart. He was a Fatimid soldier against the cruel crusaders.

Nicolò Di Genova was a priest, so a cultured man, priests in Italy were rich and they had an education in monastery. He lived in a port city attacked by Fatimids. He is without "Italian stereotypes" and a kindness praised by Joe. A badass sniper with a caring soul. He believes, ever after 900 years, they can do good in this world

These two are my comfort characters, different but equal, enemies to lovers with a declaration of love 900-years-long so. Well, it's pretty obvious I have so much inspiration to draw them since July 💓

all the kill floor combat costumes are obviously great and sexy and reflect everyone's personalities and style nicely, but I hadn't really appreciated some of the details up close until I saw this image last night

and I'm transfixed by Nicky's outfit, especially the little details the movie doesn't show/they didn't include. the knife strapped right to his chest is amazing. is Nicky wearing the most basic wooden cross around his neck and it was just hiding under the hoodie? love it as a tasteful replacement for a Certain Aspect of comic!Nicky's outfit we shan't be discussing

but what's really sending me is the cut off sleeves??? hello??? was this 950-year-old Ezio-wannabe combat nonna wearing the weirdest version of cut-offs I've seen on an infiltration mission??? more importantly does Nicky have other cut-off hoodies??? does he legitimately have a crop-top hoodie that he wears with over-long sleeves and the hood up and one of Joe's fitted workout shirts underneath please tell me he does. also someone please draw it
