Saw a post a few days ago that said the Sith could lead the Jedi to the dark side by using lust alone.

That's just bullshit.

Ma'am the Jedi ain't catholic priests and they sure are not celibate, they are in far more polycules than a person can physically keep track of, to them nudity is just another aspect of a someone's being that's neither a taboo nor something shameful to be hidden away, and physical touch is just a way to show love (of any type) to others.

Yes they fuck nasty, they would have an impassible face while looking at the Sith undressing themselves, and then would look at those dark side titties and say "Saw and had far better last Thursday, can I go home now?"

And those who don't fuck by choice you say? They'd look the Sith in the eyes and say "You really think you're that special uh?"

I guess it all comes down to whether people are willing to accept that one can feel already content and whole and have the joy, love and connections in their life that others would try to get through romantic and sexual relationships.

Woke: The Jedi Order as an institution is completely correct in all of its teachings about everything and following the Jedi's teachings about selflessness and compassion are what allow people of the galaxy to achieve balance and peace, but these teachings are an ideal to live up to and they assert that everyone has the capacity for darkness within them anyway, so sometimes individual Jedi will make mistakes or struggle with fear and pain and selfishness as they strive towards being their best selves the way their culture trains them to do.

What I’m responsible for in my fandom:

1. Making a good faith effort to include relevant and informative tags and labels on my creative works.

2. Making a good faith effort to use the “author chose not to warn” rating, a “contains potentially upsetting content” note, cuts or community ratings, or otherwise indicating that there might be untagged, triggering content if I’m not up to or don’t want to tag it.

3. Being a good fandom citizen; not sending death threats or hate, not bullying people, being kind and thoughtful to those I interact with, and leaving alone things that would prompt me to act otherwise.

4. Curating my own experience; not engaging with people or material that I know will be harmful or upsetting to me, disengaging when I realize that something is harmful or upsetting to me, and using tools such as blocklists and tag filters to hide content I don’t want to see.

5. Doing the opposite of whatever the fuck bullshit is going on in tiktok at all times.

Being a good fandom citizen; not sending death threats or hate, not bullying people, being kind and thoughtful to those I interact with, and leaving alone things that would prompt me to act otherwise.

It is simply JUST that easy. All the fandom shit exists because people choose to behave badly and it’s too often younger ones holding fandom spaces as societal influence & activism spaces instead of a HOBBY SPACES.

Luke doesn’t want Vader dead, he wants Vader alive. Not to hold him accountable for his many evil acts, but for the same reason why Luke Skywalker can’t kill Darth Vader; Vader is his father and Luke loves him.

i think my philosophy on adaptations is different from most people's tbh. if i have to see one more take that's like "if you wanted the same story just read the book" i stg.... if they wanted to write a different story why did they choose to adapt a beloved book? like yeah i did want the same story lol my bad for assuming a "faithful adaptation" would be the same story??

a lot of criticisms from fans could have been avoided if they had marketed this show as a rewrite/re-imagining from the start. i probably still would've been a little bummed about some of the changes but at least we all would've known what to expect

hermes touching percy’s hand after telling him he definitely knows what it’s like to be so close to someone he loves knowing neither of them have any choice but to keeping hurting each other and percy getting flashbacks alluding to his relationship with his mom…like i GET where they’re trying to go with that but also…no. sally isn’t a perfect angel mother and some of her decisions meant for percy’s long term safety ended up deeply hurting him. in the same vein, percy’s existence is the reason sally married gabe in the first place and percy also feels immense guilt for constantly getting kicked out of schools and thinking he’s putting him mom through the wringer, but i feel like the way it’s delivered unfairly places an equal amount of blame on percy’s shoulders when his only crime was being born. he didn’t ask to be brought into the world, he didn’t ask to be the son of a sea god, he didn’t ask for any of what he got, but he’s always tried his best to make it through while being fiercely protective of his mother. percy’s existence unintentionally causes sally to endure pain but that cannot be compared to hermes and luke and may. the dynamics are so wildly different. they are not one and the same.

i just want to make it clear that percabeth's friendship is just as important as their romantic relationship. that them being each other's closest friend is important to both of them. that their platonic stage isn't just a stepping stone.
