Alright I hope these aren’t too clustered for you to see?? But re-reading DGM (as I apparently do every couple days idk???) I stumbled across something super cute and wonderful and one of those tiny details that make everything perfect.
I noticed Lenalee was wearing someone’s jacket but I couldn’t figure out who–I knew Kanda’s had been blown off his (hot) bod and Allen’s had been torn to pieces. Went back and realized Lavi had been wearing his when he came back “to life” but literally, the next chapter, he wasn’t! And Lenalee was!
Lavi gave Lenalee his jacket because she was wearing just the strapless top and shorts that go under her uniform and if that isn’t really really precious i don’t know what is ;u;
Hoshino didn’t have to do that–we wouldn’t have been confused or questioning if Lavi never took his jacket off and Lenalee stayed as she was. But Hoshino CHOSE to add that little detail, CHOSE to make the change because that specificy and attention to insignificant details is what makes a story so real and life like, whether it’s a manga, a book, an anime or a movie.
