Big Fish & Begonia - Official Music Video
Look even Xiao didn’t deserve that bullying, and if you say she does then you don’t know how that feels. Just hating her just because she gets in the way of your precious ship.
All she did was love Xixi, and then to get told to stay away, and then to get rejected harshly. Then to end up having her letter get posted up, give the girl some slack man.
Old Xian
Okay so I just found out about Old Xian not being happy when she draws since people are taking her drawings out of context. Yes I get that she made the girl seem like a total bitch in the last chapter. But really is the 19 Days fandom really going to gang up on Old Xian because she drew this one female in an unpleasant way. We don’t know what Old Xian had in mind for that girl so why are we judging Old Xian. Old Xian has a huge plan for this manga and everyone should know that. Yes we might not agree with what is happening in a chapter but that in no way reflects a mangaka true feelings toward a situation. Now Old Xian is upset and you know who is at fault for that. Its the fans. I know a lot the fans didnt have a problem with it but with the ones who did. Why did you have a problem with it. Dont take something out of context and judge Old Xian based on that. If we dont get a new chapter and people cry about it. Oh well its because of the fandom that she isnt happy and I hope the people who misjudged Old Xian based on the recent chapter are happy with what they did.
tbh, at first, I was wondering if Old Xian was making a low key political statement when she made the girl say “disgusting/perverted homosexual”
because we see the girls always ogling at Jian Yi and Zahn while they’re doing their usual shenanigans–some even take pictures and smile. Some compare Jian Yi to the main protagonist of a BL comic etc…..The girls seem really into them being really close. But when they have to face the facts ….they (well, one girl at this point) reacts in a vile way.
idk, I don’t want to say anything more because I want to see what Old Xian has up her sleeve, she could redeem the girl, she could make her the villain, who knows. Whatever. It’s her story, let her tell it to us however she wants.
As for the low key political statement, I’m not too sure about that anymore since her latest official statement about the chapter. She doesn’t seem into that.
EXACTLY!!!

My Take on the Tzuyu Controversy
-WARNING, EXTREMELY LONG RANT AHEAD:-
Okay, so I find this whole Tzuyu controversy to be morbidly hilarious and the reason is that people are shitting on the Chinese for all the wrong reasons. Most comments I see are about how the Chinese are being way too stingy, losing their shit over the fact that she held a Taiwanese flag instead of the Chinese one and how mean China is for making a 16 years old girl have to apologize for being Taiwanese.
Now, there are so many wrong things that I’m having a hard time covering them all. First, most Chinese people are angry at the fact that Korea seems to claiming that Taiwan is an independent country, which for China, isn’t. The whole flag thing started as something pretty small and could’ve been easily solved (mainlanders really aren’t sensitive to the point of blowing up over a flag), until JYPE’s bad management blew the whole thing up. Now, people born into a Western way of thinking have difficulty understanding why China’s being so sensitive about Tibet and Taiwan and I don’t blame you because me neither tbh (I’m more of a whatever kind of mentality). However, just like how you don’t understand where the problem is, Chinese people have a hard time understanding why Westerners don’t see how Taiwan and Tibet belong to one single country. It can be vaguely likened to Quebec’s status in Canada. Anyways, my point with this is that you can’t say that China’s being over sensitive over something when you can’t understand its mentality. This isn’t an issue that can be disregarded just because you don’t see the logic behind it.
Second, I really need to talk about JYPE’s shit management. So many things are wrong with it. Why would you make a 16 years old apologize? Do you WANT the whole thing to blow up?? They have basically just gone and poured oil over an already raging fire. Now, Taiwan is using Tzuyu as a political weapon while everybody shits on China for apparently forcing a young girl to apologize. To be perfectly clear, China really didn’t need the apology video of a teen. They wanted a formal statement from JYPE concerning their view on Taiwan and China. While JYPE did end up doing it, the damage has already been done and everything they do now just seems forced and fake. This shit has gone so political because one of Korea’s biggest industries just kind of claimed that they support Taiwanese independence (and you’re surprised that China’s pissed?). What does that say about Korea’s view on this matter then? Now the following info might not be 100% true but I heard that South Korea requested China’s help in defending them against North Korea. But with them basically supporting Taiwan as a country, this request’s pretty much gone into oblivion. Also, while the official apology has been sent to China, they are (apparently) insulting China outside the latter’s firewall.
Additionally, because of their bad management, JYPE’s pretty much lost their Chinese market. Now, I have seen some of the stupidest comments concerning this point. True, if you combine the rest of Asia with North America and some European countries, you probably can and will destroy China. But let’s look at this with some intelligence, shall we? Nobody’s gonna start bombing China over a 16 years old. And while some people might view Kpop as their reality, the majority DOESN’T. The percentage of kpop followers in North America is tiny compared to China. One of the reasons why EXO was so successful is that SME had specifically targeted the Chinese market. So now that China’s pretty much boycotting JYPE, their stocks have taken a nose dive. Apparently, if they continued this decent, in 20 days, JYPE would bankrupt.
Finally, I need to say something about Tzuyu herself. Now, I’m probably gonna get flamed for this but I do believe that she wasn’t very smart either. True, she is a 16 years old and still too young to be forced to face this shit but at the same time, if you are ready to debut, you should be ready to face the problems that come with it, like being forced to apologize for things you might not have done wrong for the sake of placating others. I mean, Jackson who’s from Hong Kong, has managed to thrive in China because he’s been careful of what he says. He understands the difference of saying “I am Chinese” vs. “I am Hong Kongese” or “I am Taiwanese”. I’m not pro or against Taiwan being part of China but I know that there’s that sensitivity there so it’s always better to be careful. HOWEVER!!! I do not understand the hate on her because in my opinion, she simply made a mistake (that she should’ve been careful of but come on, she’s 16, cut her some slack, we’ve all done worst mistakes than saying I’m Taiwanese instead of I’m Chinese). The bulk of the problem should be on the adults of the situation, that should also stop using her like she’s some sort of puppet. And those who are pissed at her because she’s the reason their oppas can’t promote in China anymore //sob sob, grow up, stop projecting your hate into a 16 years old and get a life for fuck’s sake.
-RANT END-
