Tfw when the protagonist of your novel is an anxious mess
Ended up having to rush this cos sleep awaits but here, updated ref sheet of the Caster babs.
I love the way you draw the Caster characters and I was wondering who your favorite was to draw?
Oh my gosh this is such a sweet message to find in my inbox this morning???? Q A Q Anon, thank you!!
My fav to draw is Nako ; w ; He has such soft features which makes him really versatile in terms of expression and form drawing!
🖊+Nakano / 🖊+Luminos
🖋️ for me to gush about an OC!
A duo act! Let’s do Lumi first because I don’t talk about them much.
It’s not mentioned in canon about how a spirit becomes a god, but one method is through killing the existing elemental god. If a standard spirit kills their commanding god, they go through a process of ascension in which they take their place. Killing a god is not easy by any means, in fact, it’s incredibly difficult. The previous god of Light was not a good one. They were lazy, negligent, and often harmed humans just to show off their power. Lumi killed them because they were doing a shitty job and no one else was rising to the challenge so... They killed the god by appealing to their ego then getting close and crushing their core. They almost died doing this.
Now for Nako!
As a Vessel, Nako had to do public events back when he was in Hireka. Often, it meant wearing ceremonial garb, standing in front of a crowd (sometimes, he is accompanied by Council/Enforcer members), and just basically be a figurehead. He hated it as a child. He despised it even more after the events of the Raid. After his scopophobia got worse, said events would lead him to have panic attacks. Most of the time, he held it together until he was out of public eye but damn, it was not a fun experience.

Ask meme train thingy :3: 🖋️ Nakano!!!! 😃
🖋️ for me to gush about an OC!
Oh another Nako question! Alright, let’s do some more pre-canon stuff. It’s established in canon that Nako is a crafter and there are plot reasons, but the other reason for his interest was due to betrothal charms! Hirekians propose through betrothal charms which are usually in the form of hair ornaments (of any kind), and these are worn after marriage similar to the way one wears a wedding ring. People who don’t have hair or can’t wear these charms for whatever reason find a way to adapt it. Either way, these charms are always on display.
Anyway, the young birb, seeing how pretty and personalised these charms were, and how happy they made people, became interested in the craft. After that, he learned how practical jewellery was; arming charms, recall charms, beacon charms, there were just so many applications to such pretty things.
Essentially, he enjoyed the process of making pretty, practical things that made people’s lives better.

🖊 for Nakano?
🖋️ for me to gush about an OC!
My smol anxious chicken nugget ; 3 ; Okay, let’s talk about him pre-canon! As a child, Nako displayed remarkable intelligence, grasping magical concepts that far exceeded peers in similar age groups. His grandmother, using her ties with the Council and the Academy, got him into an advanced learning tutorship that meant he could develop at a rapid pace (although this did mean his social skills took a beating). He would pretty much devour any book he could understand and he was always quick to show off what he had learnt to his mentors. This... was disastrous at times. As a Vessel, Nako had far more power than a child his age should normally have. The mentors paid special attention to his incantations after the last time his spell included; ‘Allow me to ascend higher than the birds.’

Endgame is here and now it is the perfect excuse to draw all the angry, bitter birb.
Caster Fic - Wind
He loved the wind.
Chloris had never understood it, and though he had done his best to explain, emotions had never been his strong point. How could he explain the exhilaration and the freedom that came with the strongest gale at one’s back? How could he even begin to vocalise the joy he felt when his feet left the earth and for just a few moments, he was suspended above the world, unchained and weightless?
Chloris had always preferred to be grounded to what he knew.
Nakano had always longed to be away from it.
“Remember when Yùu used to draw us?”
<“The fuck are you talking about?”>
~*~
I haven’t drawn in forever due to life so this is probably the most complex thing I’ve done in weeks ;; I’m not dead, I swear.
When your MC is in a terrible situation and you get writer's block.
★ traumatic moments
A wild anon appears, hi!
Traumatic moments for Chlor and Nako would be The Raid. Chlor remembers more of it than Nako, but Nako relives it more clearly in his nightmares. (Though I guess The Raid was traumatic for everyone in Fios ;; )
★ mikiah/nako?
I’ll do both o w o /
Mikiah
Miki has one particular crow that likes to perch on her shoulder and head she has affectionately named Mortimer.
Nakano
Nako feels calmest in high places. Before his anxiety and scopophobia really took hold, his favourite places were in the watchtowers of Fios or the hills overlooking the city.
OC Ask: 11 - Nakano; 6 - Vincent; 20 and 29 - Mikiah
Nako
11.They’ve won the lottery. Spend, or save?
Birb is a careful thing. He’d save.
Vin
6.Who will they take advice from, no matter what it is? Who won’t they take advice from, no matter what it is?
There isn’t anyone he’d take advice from no matter what, but the two people he’s willing to listen to is Nako and Lia.
As for people he won’t take advice from, that’s pretty much everyone.
Miki
20. What do they like that nobody else does?
Crows. Everyone else sees them as menaces/pests but they’re her patron animal and she loves all her fluffy asshole babies.
29. What recurring dreams do they have?
Depending on when in canon, she has a lot of dreams of the past. When she was younger, she used to dream of travelling with her dad.
the devil + the fool reverse!!
For Nako! ò w ó b
The Devil: Does your character ever neglect their wild side?
Oh man yep, he’s all about trying to keep a low profile. Nako is too much of an anxious mess to ever be “wild” and if he ever does let loose, it’s because something has forced him to.
The Fool in Reverse: When has your character acted recklessly?
You mean the whole of Caster?
I wasn’t sure if you wanted The Devil in Reverse too so here’s a bonus one:
The Devil in Reverse: When has your character suffered from refusing to break off an unhealthy relationship?
I have one word for this answer: Vincent.
nakano for @yuutfa
fly little birdie, to the stars and beyond. // three different lights exist and you are all three: sunlight, bright and harsh, moonlight, soft and kind, and at last, starlight, beautiful and blinding.
This is the best thing to wake up to. Oh gosh, thank you so much for making this and that passage is freaking beautiful ahhhhhh!!!
Excuse me while I gush over this for the rest of the day ; A ;
