Welcome To The Saezuru Fandom!

Hello new followers and those coming back to the fold. I was hoping The Clouds Gather would bring more people to our lovely corner of the internet and I’m so glad it’s happening!

Here’s a little primer if you’re new or you’ve been away for a while.

Info:

Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is currently at 41 chapters. Chapter 42 is set to come out at the end of this month AND I’ve been hearing that Saezuru will be on the cover!

You can read the first three volumes in eformat here. June Manga has published physical volumes, with volume 4 being announced for December 2020. Chapters past that can be found here and here, or in the Saezuru discord. Saezuru has two prequels: Don’t Stay Gold and Tadayoedo Shizumazu Saredo Naki mo Sezu; they’re short and give you necessary backstory on Yashiro’s character and his relationship with Kageyama, as well as Kageyama and Kuga’s backstory.

Chapters come out every two months, unless Yoneda Kou takes a break, then it’s a 4 month wait. There are six volumes, with the seventh almost complete, and six drama CDs. And a lot of merch rip my wallet.

There will be three movies. The Clouds Gather was the first and is currently out on bluray/DVD with a bunch of gorgeous extras. JustBLThings has a sub out and it will also be available in theaters and to stream with subs from Sentai. The Storm Breaks is the second movie; there is a short preview of it at the end of the credits in The Clouds Gather. My guess is we’ll see it sometime late next year? But I’m just speculating.

Don’t Stay Gold has been animated and will be included as an OAD with volume 7.

And then there’s me I guess. *waves* Hi, I’m Blue and I’ve been a Yoneda Kou fan for 10+ years now. The minute I saw Yashiro smirking in the first few pages of Don’t Stay Gold I was like WHO IS THIS GUY and he’s now My Flaweless Son. I championed this manga for a long time and scanlated 14 chapters so I can’t begin to tell you what these movies mean to me. Seeing everything animated is a high point in my life; I’m never going to be the same. *flails*

I would personally like to thank Katalex for this and all their Saezuru work. They animated my sons in this latest video and I am sobbing right now it’s so gorgeous. They’re moving and talking and I can’t breathe.

It was just announced on twitter that there will be another Saezuru cafe at ComiComi Studio Machida from

June 8th ~ June 18th!!!!

I’m guessing that the reason is Sensei’s 10-year anniversary, but they didn’t say anything about it yet.
