I’m not married, I’m black, I’m a single mother. There’s this fight inside of me where it’s like, I will not fall for what society was saying that I was, given where I came from. I will rise above.

What prompted this? Did you have a terrible experience on a plane of some kind? Who likes TSA? I mean, if I’m gonna dream big, you gotta go for it. If I wanna own my private island, who flies commercial to their own private island?

I don’t harp on the negative because if you do, then there’s no progression. There’s no forward movement. You got to always look on the bright side of things, and we are in control. Like, you have control over the choices you make.
