Hey friends-

If you would be so kind, would you share my GoFundMe link and if you can, donate? I’m in desperate emotional need of top surgery and it’s getting harder and harder every day. I just want to be able to feel normal as soon as possible. It’s getting to the point where I may not be emotionally capable of returning to school next semester. I’m blunt, I’m desperate at this point. If you would share and or donate, it would mean the world.

The Imaginary Friend (Chapter 24)

It was a few hours later as Chuck and I were sitting in his living room watching TV when he asked.

“Do you ever think about, you know, leaving hunting?” asked Chuck. The show we had been watching was finished and he had turned off the TV.

“Is that really possible?” I asked, turning to him.

“Is that a yes?” asked Chuck. I sighed, not really sure what to say.

“I don’t know, maybe. I just, never really had a reason to leave it before, you know? I, it’s my brothers. I just have always been taught to stay with my family.”

Chuck looked down at his lap, clearly hesitant on what he wanted to say next.

“What, what about me?” asked Chuck.

“What do you mean?”

“I just, you said you never had a reason to leave before… what about me?”

“Are, are you asking me to leave hunting? Leave my brothers behind?” I asked surprised. I know Chuck wanted me to be safe but I didn’t expect this.

Chuck stood up, pacing as he turned back to me.

“No, not really. Um. I don’t know. It’s just, Red, think about it. The past few weeks that you’ve been here have been the best few weeks I’ve ever had, and I know you feel the same.”

I stood up, walking until I stood in front of him.

“You’re not wrong, Blue. I’m not going to deny that. But, I just can’t leave my brothers.” I said.

“I know, I know. I don’t know. I guess I’m just saying that if a moment were to come, it’s an option. I guess I’m just saying I’m giving you the option.” said Chuck. He leaned down, kissing the top of my head.

All of a sudden, I felt a buzz in my back pocket from my phone. I took it out, a new text from Dean.

FROM: DEAN

Poughkeepsie

An address was typed at the bottom, oddly close to where I was now. I knew what it meant;

Drop everything and run.

I sighed, leaning my head against Chuck’s chest.

“You gotta go?” asked Chuck, not surprised at all.

“Yeah, I do.” I looked up at him.

“I’ll call you when I can, okay? So, so we can finish talking about this.”

“Calling? That’s a new one considering.”

“Yeah, well, somethings deserve to be said aloud.” I kissed him, not knowing when I’d be able to again.

“I love you, Blue.”

“I love you too.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Look what the cat dragged in.” said Sam as I walked into the hotel room Dean had texted me a few hours before.

“Hello to you, too, Sam.” I said. I don’t know what I expected honestly.

“C’mon Range it’s not like we haven’t seen you in weeks or anything. Right Dean?” said Sam.

Dean sighed looking at me.

“Sam compared to how she looked when she left and now, I’m not gonna question it.” said Dean.

“Are you okay though?” asked Dean.

“I’m, I’m better.” I said, honestly.

“That’s all I care about.” I gave my brother a grateful look as I turned to Castiel. Dean had called and filled me in on what was happening when I was driving.

“So, Really? Anna? I don’t believe it.” I said, desperately trying to change the subject.

“It’s true.” said Cas.

“So, she’s gone all Glenn Close, huh? That’s awesome.” I said with a laugh.

“Who’s Glenn Close?” asked Cas.

Dean stood up, walking closer to Sam.

“No one, just this psycho bitch who likes to boil rabbits.”

“So, the plan to kill me, would it actually stop Satan?” asked Sam.

“No, Sam, come on.” said Dean.

Sam glanced at the two of us before looking back at Castiel.

“Cas, what do you think? Does Anna have a point?” asked Sam.

Cas took a moment, glancing at the three of us.

“No. She’s, uh, Glenn Close.”

“I don’t get it,” I said, “We’re looking for the chick that wants to gank Sam.”

“Why poke the bear?” asked Dean.

“Anna will keep trying. She won’t give up until Sam is dead. So, we kill her first.” Cas poured oil into the bowl sitting on the table.

“Zod ah ma ra la ee est la gi ro sa.”

Suddenly the bow shot red flame out of it, Castiel stepped back as he leaned against the chair.

“I found her.”

“Where is she?” asked Dean.

“Not where. When. It’s 1978.”

“What?” asked Sam.

“Good God, we’re going to have to time travel again, aren’t we?” I said, leaning my head into my hand.

“Why 1978? I wasn’t even born yet.” said Sam.

“You won’t be if she kills your parents.” said Cas.

That stopped all of us in surprise.

“What?” asked Sam, voice quivering.

“Anna can’t get to you because of me. So, she’s going after them.” said Cas.

“Take us back right now.” said Dean.

“And deliver you right to Anna? I should go alone.”

“They’re our parents. Cas, we’re going.” I said.

“It’s not that easy.” said Cas, walking a few steps away.

“Why not?” asked Sam.

“Time travel was difficult even with the powers of heaven at my disposal.”

“Which got cut off.” said Sam.

“So, what, you’re like a DeLorean without enough plutonium?” asked Dean.

“I don’t understand that reference. But I’m telling you, taking this trip, with passengers no less, it will weaken me.”

I suddenly remembered that vision I had before with Dean and Michael, who was using our dad as a vessel. We had to go.

“We have to go, Cas. Trust me. I’ve seen it already.” I said, hoping he’d here me.

Dean walked towards Cas.

“They’re our mom and dad. If we can save them, and not just from Anna… I mean if we can set things right, we have to try.” Cas glanced over at me, I just nodded in response.

We were going back.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Ready?” asked Cas. It was hours later and we were all ready to go.

“Not really.” said Sam.

“Bend your knees.” said Dean.

“Yeah,” I said, “what Dean said.”

All of a sudden, Sam, Dean, and I stood in a middle of a street, jumping out of the way just in time for a car to pass by.

“Did we make it?” asked Sam.

Dean and I looked around, taking in the sights around us.

“Unless they’re bringing Pintos back into production, I, uh, I’d say yes.” said Dean.

I took a look around, suddenly spotting Castiel slumped against a car.

“Cas?” I asked, running towards him.

“Take it easy, take it easy. Are you alright?” asked Dean and we picked the angel up.

“I’m fine. I’m much better than I expected.” said Castiel. As soon as we tried to pick him up more, he spat out blood.

“He’s breathing,” I said, putting my hand near his mouth, “What do we do?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam, Dean, and I pulled up to the address we had found in the phone book for our parents, the earlier version of the impala sitting right outside. Sam jumped right out.

“Sam. Sam. Wait, wait, wait, wait.” said Dean as he and I quickly followed our younger brother.

“Guys, Anna could be here any second.”

“What exactly are we gonna march up there and tell ‘em?” asked Dean.

“Uh, the truth.”

“What, that their kids are back from the future to save them from an angel?” asked Dean. “Gone Terminator? Come on. Those movies haven’t even come out yet.”

“Well, then tell her demons are after ‘em. I mean, she thinks you two are hunters, right?”

“Yeah,” I said, “hunters who disappeared right when her dad died. She’s gonna love us.”

The three of us stood silent until Dean spoke up.

“Just follow my lead.” said Dean, leading the two of us to the front door.

You could see the surprise on her face the second the door opened.

“Hi, Mary.” said Dean and I at the same time.

“You can’t be here.” said Mary, the younger version of our mother stood before us.

“I’m sorry if this is a bad time.” I said.

“You don’t understand. I’m not, I don’t do that anymore. I have a normal life. You have to go.” she moved in to close the door before Dean stopped her.

“I’m sorry, but this is important, okay?”

Suddenly the sound of a throat clearing could be heard as the door swung open, the younger John Winchester appearing next to Mary. Both younger versions of our parents stood before us.

“Sorry, sweetie, they’re just…”

“Mary’s cousins.” I said quickly, cutting her off.

“Yeah,” said Dean, “we couldn’t stop through town without swinging by and saying ‘hey’, now, could we?” He held out his hand to our dad.

“Dean.”

“You two look familiar.” said John, obviously recognizing the two of us from our previous trip back in time.

“Really? Yeah, you do too actually, you know? We must have met sometime. Small towns, right? Got to love ‘em.” I said.

“I’m John.”

John reached out his hand to shake, it wasn’t until I nudged Sam that he took it.

“This is Sam.” I said.

“Sam. Uh, Mary’s father was a Sam.”

“Uh, it’s a-it’s a family name.” said Dean.

“You okay, pal? You look a little spooked.” asked John, realizing Sam hadn’t let go of his hand.

Sam dropped his hand. “Oh. Oh, yeah. Just a…long trip.” Dean and I nodded in agreance .

“Well, Sam, Dean, and Ranger were just on their way out.” said Mary.

“What? They just got here. Real happy to meet folks from Mary’s side. Please, come on in for a beer.” said John as he leads us inside.

“Twist my arm.”

“So, how are you guys related?” asked John as we were all sitting in the living room.

“You know, uh, distantly.” said Dean.

“Oh. So, you knew Mary’s parents?”

“Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Mary’s dad was, uh, pretty much like a grandpa to us.” I said.

“Oh. That was tragic- that heart attack.” said John.

Dean and I remembered every minute of the last time we were here. It was definitely not a heart attack.

“So, uh, what are you guys doing in town, anyway?” asked John.

“Uh, business, you know.” said Dean.

“Oh, yeah? What line of work?”

Sam and I spoke up at the exact same time.

“Plumbing.”

“Scrap metal.”

Mary jumped to her feet.

“Oh, gosh. It’s almost seven. I hate to be rude, but I got to get dinner ready.”

“Maybe they could stay.” said John.

“I’m sure they have to leave.”

“Uh, look, please stay,” said John, turning to the three people he had no idea were his children, “You know, it would mean a lot to me. I haven’t met much of Mary’s side of the family.” said John. He stood up, leaving the room to answer a ringing phone.

“You have to leave. Now.” said Mary, turning to us.

“Okay, just listen-.” she cut Dean off before he could continue.

“No, you listen. Last time I saw the two of you, a demon killed my parents. Now you three waltz in here like you’re family? Whatever you want-no. Leave me alone.”

“You and John are in danger.” said Sam.

“What are you talking about?”

“Something’s coming for you.” I said.

“Demon?”

“Not exactly.” said Dean.

“Well, what, then?” asked Mary, her frustration growing by each second.

“It’s kind of hard to explain, okay? It’s-it’s-.” Sam cut Dean off.

“An angel.”

Mary laughed. “What? There’s no such thing.”

“I wish.” said Dean. “But they’re twice as strong as demons. And bigger dicks.”

“Why would an angel want to kill us?”

“It’s a long story.” I said. “And we’ll tell you the whole thing, but right now, you’ve got to trust us, and we got to go. Look at my face and tell me if I’m lying to you.” I said.

“Okay. Where do we go?”

“Out of here. We got to move now, though.” said Dean.

“Okay. But what do I tell John?” asked Mary.

“Tell him-.” I cut myself off before finishing, just now realizing how long it had been since John had been in the room with us.

“John?” I asked, directing myself to the kitchen.

The four of us walked through the hallway before Mary found the note on the phone saying John had left.

It wasn’t until we found ourselves fighting Anna in a mechanics garage that we really realized how bad it was.

The Imaginary Friend (Chapter 23)

A/N: *throws some filler fluff your way*

The small smut in this chapter, 100% of the credit goes to @dont-hate-relate-pls

“I can feel you watching me sleep, Chuck Shurley.” I said, groggily. I could feel the light shining on my face through the window and hear the laughter of the man lying next to me, confirming my suspicions.

I opened eyes, the face of my bearded boyfriend appeared in front of.

“Good morning, Blue.” Chuck leaned down and kissed my forehead.

“Good morning, Red.”

It had been a few weeks since I had arrived at Chuck’s house, and my mental health was slowly recovering. My nightmares had slowed down considerably, and I wasn’t exactly scared to close my eyes anymore.

“What are you thinking about?” asked Chuck, lying on his left side. I mirrored him as I was lying on my right.

“You.” I said, smiling a bit.

“Me?” I could tell he was genuinely surprised with my answer.

“Just thinking about how I showed up on your front doorstep in about a billion broken pieces. Just thinking about how I don’t feel like that anymore. Thank you.”

Chuck pushed his arms up, leaning up so he could sit against the headboard. I again mirrored him.

“You don’t have to keep thanking me, you know.” said Chuck.

“Yeah, Blue. I do. I just, I just sometimes don’t feel like I deserve you.” I pulled my knees up against my chest, running my hand through my hair.

“Do you remember that time when we were 14, and we just stayed up all night talking. God, we must have been on topics as far off as Mars by the time the sun rose that morning.”

I nodded, laughing at the memory.

“My dad got so mad at me when he found me still awake that morning,” I said. Chuck took this moment to wrap his arms around me and pull me into his lap. “That was the first time you told me that you liked to write stories.”

“I had never told anybody about that before.” said Chuck, kissing my shoulder and threading his hand through mine.

“I remember feeling honored you’d tell me something like that.” I said.

“I remember something else about that night though, Red.”

I looked up from where I was sitting in his lap, waiting for him to continue. I raised my arm up, stroking the side of his face through his beard as he looked down at me.

“I remember that being the night I fell in love with you.”

I gasped, not expecting that answer out of him.

“You never told me that before.”

“I was a teenage boy, Range. There’s a lot of stuff you don’t know from then for a reason.” said Chuck, his cheeks blushing with embarrassment. God, he was beautiful.

God, I was in love with him.

“Nothing weird, I hope.” I said, laughing a little. Chuck leaned down, kissing my neck. I laughed at him as he was obviously just trying to hide his flustered expression. Chuck cut my laughter off with a kiss, pressing his lips to mine as he laid me down against the sheets.

Chuck’s hands started roaming, and honestly, I let him. His hands slid down my arms, keeping a slight grip on my waist as his lips moved down my neck. Chuck’s hand slipped down my waist as he rubbed up and down my thigh. There wasn’t a part of me he didn’t touch. I ran my hands up my back, gripping his shoulders, needing something to hold on to.

I could feel Chuck getting hard against my leg as he pressed his length against my middle, my body immediately reacting as my back arched to meet him half way.

Chuck broke the kiss from my neck to kiss me back against my lips, the two of us continued rubbing against each other, the moans growing louder as our tongues meshed together.

“G-god Chuck.” I moaned out as the kiss broke apart for just a moment.

“I got you baby.” said Chuck, whispering against my neck as he started to form a hickie.

We continued like that for a while, his mouth on mine, his hands on me. For once, I felt like we were in a bubble that couldn’t be popped.

I was his. I was his forever.

Suddenly I felt Chuck slide his hand up, fiddling with the bottom of my t-shirt. His fingers slid up under my shirt, testing a barrier.

Suddenly, my brain shut down, a new-found panic setting in at the unfamiliar action.

“Wait, stop. Stop. I’m sorry. Stop.” I said quickly, pushing Chuck off of me. Chuck immediately jumped off of me, following what I had said.

“Hey, hey. It’s alright.” said Chuck slightly, trying to be as careful as he could. I pushed myself up against the head of the bed, my knees pulled up to me as my breathing was uneven. Chuck sat across from me.

“You alright?” asked Chuck, quietly. My breathing slowed down as I ran my hand through my hair.

“Yeah, yeah. I’m sorry. I don’t know what happened.”

“Hey, hey. C’mere.” said Chuck. He pulled my body towards him, wrapped his arms around me into a hug. I buried my face into his chest, pretty embarrassed that I had freaked out.

“You know I’d never make you-.”

“Yeah, I know.” I said.

“You don’t have to be embarrassed, Red. I know you.” I smiled into his chest, pulling him closer. I liked being close to Chuck.

“I guess this is just something we haven’t talked about, you know. Boundaries and stuff.” I said. Chuck and I sat across from each other, crisscross apple sauce. I grabbed a hold of his hand, taking it in mine.

“Is that something we need to talk about? Boundaries? Or would you rather just want to see where we go?”

“I-I’d like to talk about it, actually.” I said, looking down at my lap. Chuck raised his free hand, lifting my head so my eyes met his.

“Wanna tell me why you just freaked out so badly?” asked Chuck calmly. I sighed, keeping my grip on his hand.

“We’ve known that you can’t, that you can’t exactly see the stuff that’s happened to me over the years. My childhood wasn’t exactly normal. My bodies covered in scars that not many people have seen, Chuck. And trust me, any guy that has seen them wasn’t so pleased by the sight.” I said, allowing myself to lift that weight off my shoulders.

Chuck squeezed my hand, the frustration evident as he didn’t expect that last sentence.

“I don’t know, it’s just new to me. I want to, it’s just new. My brain hasn’t exactly caught up to my heart yet, you know?”

Chuck leaned forward, kissing my forehead. All of a sudden, he just started laughing.

“What exactly is so funny, Mr. Shurley?” I asked.

“Do you realize that out of the entire time we have been in a relationship, this is probably the first normal conversation we’ve ever had.”

I laughed, he was totally right.

“Yeah, I’ll admit. It’s nice not having to think about everything supernatural for a while. It’s nice being here with you.” I said.

“Look, Red. You know I’d never push you into anything you were uncomfortable with.” said Chuck.

“And you know I’d never push you either, Blue.” I said.

“Baby steps, we go through this together. When we get to that point where we are both ready for that, then it’ll be okay. Cause we’re okay.” said Chuck.

“I love you.” I said, pressing my lips to his.

“I love you too.” whispered Chuck against my lips.

It was a few moments before either of us spoke up again.

“As much as I do love you, however, please excuse me as I release myself from the tightness that is my pants.” said Chuck, winking at me as he jumped off the bed and headed straight for the bathroom. I threw a pillow at him with laughter, content that our little bubble was still ours together.

The Imaginary Friend (Chapter 22)

A/N: Hello! Today is July 14th, 2017. That means tomorrow, July 15th, 2017, The Imaginary Friend turns ONE YEAR OLD!!! Can you believe it???? The ‘Changer’ shipped sailed one year ago tomorrow.

Because it’s the one year anniversary, I’m writing a shit tone of pages to break down into different chapters. I’m gonna post as much as I can this weekend to celebrate. Enjoy!

*CHUCK’S P.O.V.*

“No. Please. It burns, please stop. Please.”

My eyes whipped open immediately at the presence of Ranger’s voice in my head. It was three in the morning, and I could see her trembling next to me in her sleep. She was having a nightmare, and it wasn’t uncommon for either of us to reach out to the other in our head’s when this happened.

I immediately wrapped my arm around her, pulling her into me so close that my head was buried in her hair. I needed to get her to calm down or else she’d wake up screaming.

“Shhh. You’re okay, Red. It’s Chuck. You’re safe, baby. I promise.” I ran my hand up and down her back, thankfully feeling her relax. I kissed the top of Ranger’s head, sliding my hand down her arm to hold her hand as she slept, but stopped when my fingertips reached the new-found gash on her arm.

I could feel the anger bubbling right up through me all over again.

This wasn’t supposed to happen.

Ranger Winchester was supposed to be protected no matter what the cost.

But how was I supposed to tell her that? How was I supposed to tell her that I’ve spent her entire life lying to her?

Ranger Winchester had faith in one thing on this planet. I knew that was me. Who am I to make her lose that?

But the anger still remained as I looked down at the woman laying against me, who had in her sleep wrapped herself around my legs and chest. I pulled her in closer.

Ranger Winchester was the most important creation on earth, and she didn’t even know it. I closed my eyes, knowing exactly what I had to do.

It was time I finally did something about it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lucifer leaned himself against a wall of an abandoned building, looking outside of the window as he stood inside. It was late, and the fallen angel knew it, but not even he had much to do tonight.

It wasn’t long until the angel was picked up and slammed against the wall by an unseeable force.

“What the hell?” yelled Lucifer, whipping his head around as there wasn’t anything in the room that could be doing this to him.

“Lucifer.” said a voice. It was so loud the angel couldn’t tell if it was in his head or in the room. But he knew exactly who it was.

“You’re not gonna show your face, you coward? Huh, Dad? Show yourself!” yelled Lucifer.

Suddenly a black mist appeared in front of the angel, in the exact shape of a man. The shame of a fist held Lucifer up against the wall.

“Ah, Dad, so nice to see you again. Wait, it isn’t exactly you, is it? What, too afraid to show yourself?”

“Too busy cleaning up your mess, Lucifer. What the hell were you thinking! You know Ranger Winchester is out of bounds. YOU KNOW THE RULES.” The walls shook as the voice boomed.

“Actually, from what I understand, I just can’t kill her. Trust me, if that were possible, I would have done it already.” said Lucifer.

“You know the rules.” said the mist.

That’s when it hit the fallen angel.

She doesn’t know yet.” said Lucifer. “You haven’t told her.”

“You know the prophecy. You know I can’t reveal myself until she comes to me.” said the mist.

“She still knows you as Chuck.”

Suddenly the missed in front of Lucifer morphed, and the body of Chuck Shurley could be seen. He snapped his fingers, flinging Lucifer across the room.

“You know Dad, you’ve casted me away yourself. I feel like you could do better.”

Chuck twisted his hand, wringing the angel up the wall as blood started pouring out of his mouth. His voice deepened as he began to walk forward.

Stay away from Ranger Winchester, or you know what I’ll do.”

Choking on his own blood, Lucifer barely got the next words out.

“She doesn’t know you’re God.”

With a blink of an eye, Lucifer fell to the ground, and the being he knew as his father was gone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam and Dean were driving back to Bobby’s house after the most recent cast. It was body switching, and Sam was finally back in his own meat suit.

However, it had been a few weeks and Ranger still hadn’t returned. The most they had gotten out of their sister was a text a week ago.

TO: Sam

FROM: Ranger

I’m fine. I just need a break. Let me have it.

Neither brother blamed her, Dean especially after his trip to hell and back. Even he had only dealt with demons, not Lucifer himself.

“Where do you think she goes?” asked Sam, suddenly. It had been mostly quiet in the car ride. The brothers weren’t idiots, they noticed that Ranger found an excuse to leave more and more recently.

“I mean, what happened to you guys in 2014? What made her start to leave more and more often?” asked Sam. Neither Dean nor Ranger had told Sam much about what had happened in the future. A silent agreement had been made between the two.

“I’m not sure I can tell you that, Sammy. I think she just found somewhere safe, you know? We know she’s been having these visions. You heard everything that Gabriel told us; about her being able to see angel wings and demons. Hell, we both know she’s been keeping something from us. If she can’t let it out with us, maybe she found somewhere she can.” said Dean, oddly calm. Sure, he was worried. Sure, he wanted to know what had his little sister so scared.

Forcing her to tell them just didn’t seem like a good idea.

“And beside. Gabriel may be an actual asshole, but I can tell he won’t let anything happen to her.” said Dean.

Dean continued to drive as the car got silent again, but Sam spoke up.

“You know, Dean. If our life wasn’t absolutely insane, taking the supernatural out of it, I would think she had a boyfriend.”

Dean had to stop himself from slamming on the breaks.

“What are you talking about?” asked Dean.

“Oh, c’mon. You can’t tell me you haven’t noticed it. You’re telling me you haven’t caught her smiling at her phone, or just smiling into the air? You’re telling me that you haven’t seen her be happier than ever within the past months?” asked Sam.

Dean had to admit, if Ranger had a boyfriend, what future Dean told them made a lot more sense. Dean parked the Impala in Bobby’s driveway and the two got out.

“Everything alright, boys?” asked Bobby as the two-walked in. They were exhausted and had decided to crash at Bobby’s for the night.

“Oh, just trying to figure out where the hell Ranger sneaks off to for what seems like weeks at a time.” said Sam, shutting the door.

“I just assume she found him.” said Bobby, way to casually.

The items in Sam and Dean’s hands dropped as they whipped themselves towards Bobby.

“What??” asked Dean, surprised that Bobby knew more than they did.

“Balls.” said Bobby quietly. He forgot that Sam and Dean weren’t supposed to know.

“He’s right, she did find him.” said a voice suddenly. The three turned to find Castiel standing in the doorway.

“What are you talking about?” asked Sam.

“Ranger has had the ability to telepathically communicate with one other person since the second she was born. She’s been able to do it her entire life with this person, the angels just began a few months back.” said Castiel.

“How, wait, what?! Why didn’t we know that?” asked Dean. Bobby sighed behind him.

“Your daddy made her swear not to tell the two of you, me as well.”

“Well who’s the voice?” asked Sam.

“I have no idea, kid. I just assumed she had found him the minute she started disappearing.” said Bobby. The three turned to the angel.

“It’s a prophecy.” said Castiel.

Before they could even blink, the angel was gone.

Piece By Piece- (Rob Benedict x Reader) PART 5

A/N: Holy Shit. This was hard to write. It’s 4:50 AM as I post this and I started writing it around midnight. Thank you guys so much for reading this story. Considering I cried the entire time I wrote this last chapter, the story means a lot to me. I hope you enjoy the ending. I hope it you all like how it ended.

Although the story itself is done, I am open to taking requests for it! If you want a one-shot of moments between their relationship during those three years, I’ll gladly take requests.

Enjoy.

Summary: Reader is a teenage actress on Supernatural, and at 15 years old her abusive parents kick her out of the house because they disapprove of her career. After an emotional breakdown at the latest convention, Rob takes her in.

Pairing: Father Figure Rob x Reader

Word Count: 2,827

WARNING: There actually isn’t any warnings in this chapter the story should be happy from now on.

It was the summer before your senior year before you turned 18 when someone else called you Rob’s daughter for the first time.

Rob’s brother Matt’s wife had a baby, and while you were in Vancouver filming Wayward Sisters, Rob didn’t have to work. So, he flew down to Missouri and you were planning on meeting him a few days later.

It was a small town where Rob grew up, everyone knew everybody, this included the doctors at the hospital. It was obvious people wouldn’t know who you were.

“I’m looking for Matt Benedict’s wife’s room. She just had a baby.” I said to the nurse sitting behind the desk in the hospital lobby. I had just landed and had taken a cab straight to the hospital.

The nurse typed something into the computer before looking up at me.

“Ah, yes. I’m sorry however, only family is allowed right now.”

That’s when Matt popped out of nowhere.

“Oh, there you are Y/N! Rob stepped out to get us some food, but geez, he was worried you got on the wrong flight or something.” said Matt with a laugh.

“Sir, I thought you said only family?” asked the nurse.

“Oh, she is family. This is Rob’s daughter.” my eyes went wide, not having been referred to as Rob’s daughter by anyone before.

I followed Matt down the hallway towards the room, still a little stumped.

“Did, did you just say Rob’s daughter?” I asked.

“Yeah, I mean you basically are. At least that’s what Rob told me.”

It was the day you turned 18 that you drove yourself to Rob’s lawyer’s office, her not being surprised in the slightest when you told her your request.

“I can have them to you within the hour, Y/N. I think it’s an amazing idea.”

It was a few weeks later, on the three-year anniversary of Rob finding you at the con that I got the courage to change my life forever.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sat on the couch backstage in the green room, my leg bounced up and down as I was freaked out of my mind.

It was the three-year anniversary of my parents kicking me out, and in two days it would be the three-year anniversary of Rob telling me I was staying at his house for the night.

Well, it turned out to be a bit longer than a night; and if this weekend worked out how I planned, it would be a lot longer than I think Rob and I had ever planned.

But, frankly, I was having a hard time staying still with the forms in my backpack next to me.

I had gotten to the green room extremely early, and was sitting by myself when Rich walked in.

“Whoa, Y/N, you alright?” asked Rich. “It looks like you’re trembling in your seat there.”

I rubbed my face, trying to convince myself that I was being stupid and that I just needed to calm down.

“Hey, um. Rich. If I tell you something. Um. Will you promise not to tell Rob?”

“Oh my god you’re pregnant.” said Rich. I stood up immediately.

“What? No! How would you think that, no!” I said. I picked up my bag, taking the folder out and walked towards him.

“Sorry, you know I’m kidding. That was just the first thing that came into my mind when you said not to tell Rob. Of course, I can keep something to myself. What’s up?” asked Rich.

I took a breath, handing him the folder. Richard took it, his eyes going wide as he read the first word printed at the top.

ADOPTION PETITION

“Y/N. Oh my god.”

“I turned 18 a few weeks ago. Without needing my biological parent’s approval anymore, all he would need to do is sign the bottom and I’d be legally ‘Y/N Benedict.’” I said.

“When are you gonna ask him?”

“Wait, so you think it’s a good idea?” I asked, surprised.

“Of course, I do. You know when Rob introduces you to people in conversations, he already calls you his daughter, right?” asked Rich.

“No, actually. I didn’t know that…”

“Look, the guy signed on to be your legal guardian three years ago without even a moment of hesitation. There’s no reason to be nervous about asking him to sign this because frankly, he already sees you as his daughter, legally or not.”

“Thanks Rich, I actually really needed to hear that.” I said. Rich handed me back the forms and I put them back in my backpack.

“No problem. When are you planning on asking him? I’m here to assist if needed.”

All of a sudden, a plan instantly came to me.

“You know Rich, I may just take you up on that…”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was Saturday night, and the Saturday Night Special was winding down. I stood backstage with Rich as other people in the cast were hanging around and drinking.

“Y/N, you’re trembling again.” said Rich. He placed two hands on my shoulders to get me to stay still.

“Sorry, I’m sorry. My brain’s just been trained in the past to think of the bad results, you know?” I asked.

“Yeah, but you gotta remember. Rob’s the one who stayed and untrained it.” said Rich; he rubbed my shoulder in reassurance.

“Thank you, guys! Good night!” I could hear Rob ‘s voice on stage as the band was waving the crowd goodnight.

“You ready?” asked Rich. I nodded. Rich grabbed his mic from the table. The second Rob walked through the curtain, Rich grabbed his arm, pulling him back on stage.

“Rich, wha-.” Rich cut him off, getting the crowds attention before people left.

“Excuse me everybody!” he said. The crowd cheered at the sudden appearance. “If I could have your guy’s attention. Also, if we could have the full house lights on please!”

“Um, Rich. What are you doing?” asked Rob, grabbing a mic.

“Well, Robbie. There’s one last thing that needs to happen tonight.” Rich turned back to the crowd. “I would like to invite back on the stage, Y/N YL/N, and, well, everybody back there who wants to come out.”

I could hear the crowd cheering as I stood backstage, the folder of papers in my hand.

“Y/N?” asked Kim.

“Come on stage with me, just go with it guys.” I said. With a breath, I walked on stage, not surprised to be greeted by Rob’s confused face.

Rich handed me his mic, “You got this kid.” said Rich.

“Thanks again, man.” I said quietly. Rich gave me a smile before going to stand behind me with the others.

“Y/N? What are you planning, kiddo?” asked Rob, still using that nickname he gave me when I was 14.

Ignoring Rob, I turned to the crowd.

“Heya everybody. I’d like to tell you guys a story really quick that I’m pretty sure none of you know.” I took another breath, trying to calm my nerves as the crowd quieted.

“Three years ago, yesterday, I was 15 years old. I woke up Friday morning planning on attending a convention at this exact hotel, ready to hang out with my friends. I was ready to have a great weekend meeting you guys.”

“Y/N…?” asked Rob, cutting me off.

“Rob, let her say this.” said Rich from behind me. Rob tilted his head in confusion, having absolutely no idea what the heck was going on.

“I walked out of my bedroom that morning ready to go to work,” I said, continuing on. “But when I walked out, I was met with the faces of my angry parents. A fight broke out, because they told me they wanted me to quit working, or else. It turned physical with my father, and after I refused; with a duffle bag in hand my parents quite literally kicked me out of the house.”

The gasps could be heard from the crowd, even the actors behind me as most of them never knew the exact details of why I was kicked out in the first place.

I kept going.

“I got to the hotel that day scared out of my mind. I was 15, I didn’t have anyone. Hell, even with a job I knew I wasn’t capable of living on my own. But, I didn’t tell anybody.” I turned to Rob.

“But this guy, Rob knew something was wrong. For the past year he had been my friend, helping me pay for meals I didn’t have money for when the cast would go out for dinner, helping me with homework backstage, heck he started booking two-bedroom hotel rooms at the cons when he found out I had been sleeping on the greenroom couch.”

The crowd cheered at the information, Rich’s eyes going wide.

“Dang Rob, I didn’t know you did that.” said Rich into the mic.

Rob shrugged. “I wasn’t gonna let her keep sleeping on the sofa guys.”

“Well, when I walked into the green room that morning, Rob knew something was wrong. But, I lied. I kept it in because I didn’t want to have to bring Rob into the hell that was my life at the time.” I turned back to the crowd.

“I was able to keep it to myself for most of the entire weekend as I was trying to think of a plan. To be honest, I didn’t have one. But, it was the end of the con Sunday. Rob had offered to give me a ride home, and was walking to our hotel room to get me when, from what he has told me, he heard me screaming from our room. I was having a nightmare, and Rob rushed in to wake me up. It was then I had to tell him the truth, and it was three years ago tomorrow that Rob offered to let me stay at his house for the night.”

I kept myself together as I tried to keep going, but I could feel the tears coming.

“It was a week or so later when we found out that I didn’t have any other family, when that social worker told us I would be turned over to the state. I was taking it, I knew I didn’t have a choice because, well, I was a minor.”

Emotions took over me as I turned and pointed at Rob.

“It was then when this man, with no hesitation what so ever, told the social worker that he wanted me to stay with him; that he was more than willing to petition for legal guardianship.” I wiped the tears from my face as I looked up at the man standing in front of me.

I turned to my cast mates behind me, seeing tears in some in their eyes. Kim gave me thumbs up, I think she had figured out where this was going judging by the papers in my hand.

I turned back to the crowd.

“A few weeks after that it was official. Rob Benedict was my legal guardian, and I never had to see my asshole parents ever again because of this man right here. And here we are, three years later.” I pointed at Rob as I could see the tears falling slowly from his eyes at this point as well.

The crowd cheered so loud that I could barely hear myself think, and I could see Rich out of the corner of my eye trying his best to quiet them, but it gave me the time to wipe my eyes as the tears kept falling. I turned to Rob now.

“Rob, you stayed with me night after night as I kept having nightmares. You stayed up for hours on end for weeks on end as I was trying to get through them, and you didn’t complain once. Not once. You took me to get my driver’s permit, and taught me how to drive. You went to every single parent conference at school, you helped me with my homework, and still let me continue my career no matter how crazy or busy it got.”

I tried to wipe my face as quickly as I could, but to no luck.

“Sorry guys.” I said to the crowd as they awed. Kim walked up behind me, handing me a tissue.

“Ha, thanks Kim. Where was I?” I looked at Rob, trying to regain my focus.

“You okay?” I could see him mouth. I nodded, continuing.

“Rob, you paid for school clothes each year, even for school supplies. Hell, whenever I went on a date you gave the guy the dad speech. You helped me fill out college forms, and were there when I got each acceptance form.”

Rob smiled, reliving each memory being brought up in his head. Sure, the last three years had been tough, and it was definitely something he hadn’t expected, but he didn’t regret signing those guardianship forms for a second. You had changed his life as much as he had changed yours.

“Rob, you saved my life. In the past three years, you have been more of a father to me than I ever thought possible.”

“And I don’t regret it for a second, Y/N.” said Rob. I think by this point the both of you had semi-forgotten about the crowd of people in front of you, but you didn’t care. And he didn’t either.

“I know. And that’s why, when I turned 18 a few weeks ago, I drove myself to your lawyer’s office and picked up this.” I raised my arm up that was holding the forms, handing it to him.

“It’s why, after all this time, I hope you say yes.”

I raised my hand, holding the papers out to Rob. He took them, a questioning look still on his face.

But it immediately left when he opened up the folder, the mic dropping to the floor in shock as Rob pulled his hand up to his mouth, covering it.  I could suddenly feel a shoulder sling around me as I looked to see it belonged to Rich.

“Wanna tell the crowd what those papers are, Bob-O?” asked Rich.

Rob blinked, ignoring the tear that fell from his eye as he reached down to pick his mic back up.

“They’re, they’re adoption papers.”

Rob wasted no time pulling me into a hug as the crowd cheered louder than they had all night. We both lost it at that point, letting out all the emotions we had been holding in for the past 10 minutes I had started this speech. I could feel the tears drop on my head as I sobbed into his chest.

“Is that a yes?” asked Rich, seeing as he was the only one emotionally capable of speaking into his mic at the moment.

Rob laughed, releasing me from the hug for a second.

“Y/N. I would be honored to sign those papers. I’m honored that you would take the time to ask. Of course, the answer is yet.” He tightened the grip he had on me into a side hug. “But frankly let’s get off the stage cause I think we’ve both cried on stage enough tonight.” He pulled me into another full hug.

“Thank you, guys.” I said to the crowd. Richard helped bid the crowd goodnight as everyone headed off stage. We all headed back to the green room

The second Rob and I stepped into the green room, he pulled me back into a hug. Tears fell as we were both heavily overcome with emotion. The rest of the cast just stood in the doorway, letting us have our moment before we eventually separated. Both of us wiped the tears from our faces.

“Y/N Benedict. Kinda has a nice ring to it, don’t you think, guys?” asked Matt. He walked up to Rob, handing him a pen. Rob took it immediately, signing the papers he still had in his hand.

“I will get these to my lawyer myself Monday morning.” said Rob, smiling. He handed me back the papers so I could keep them in my backpack again for safe keeping.

Everybody slowly filed out of the green room, it was super late at this point and everybody was exhausted.

Rob and I were upstairs, walking through the hallway to get back to our hotel room.

“Hey, hey Rob?” I asked. The two of us stopped walking just before reaching the hotel room.

“Yeah?” Rob turned to me, leaning against the wall. I stuffed my hands into my pockets, still nervous to ask this even though Rob was now considered legally my parent.

“Is it alright if… Is it alright if I start calling you dad now?”

Rob smiled, standing himself up as he again pulled me into another hug, as tight as he possibly could.

“I love you, kiddo.” said Rob.

Piece by piece he restored my faith, that a man could be kind… and a father could stay…

“I love you too, Dad.”

Piece By Piece- (Rob Benedict x Reader) PART 4

A/N: It’s 5:28 AM. I am not responsible for any grammar or continuity errors. Also, part 5 will be the last part. Enjoy!

Summary: Reader is a teenage actress on Supernatural, and at 15 years old her abusive parents kick her out of the house because they disapprove of her career. After an emotional breakdown at the latest convention, Rob takes her in.

Pairing: Father Figure Rob x Reader

Word Count: 2,873

WARNING: There actually isn’t any warnings in this chapter the story should be happy from now on.

Life changed rather quickly after that day, and let me just tell you it changed for the better.

It was barely two weeks later when it became legally official, and the rest of the Supernatural cast found out. It was time for another con.

Rob walked down the hallway backstage toward the green room with Rich. It was Saturday evening, and Jared and Jensen had just arrived at the hotel just in time for the Saturday Night Special. Everyone was in the green room besides Rob and Rich, as they had just finished last minute photo opps.

“Hey, Rob, wanna meet up for beers Sunday night? Our flight gets into LA early so we’d have plenty of time to get a drink.” said Rich.

Rob sighed, weary of giving his best friend an answer. He and Y/N hadn’t told anyone of their new living situation yet. Rob because he wanted to wait until it was official, and, well, Y/N because she was afraid telling people would jinx the chance of it actually becoming true.

And besides, Rob knew he couldn’t go out drinking on a Sunday night, Y/N needed a ride to school at 7:00 AM the next morning.

Before Rob could answer, his phone rang in his pocket, stopping R2 in their tracks. He pulled his phone out, happy to see the name of his lawyer appear for the caller ID.

“Um, head inside, this will just take a second.” Rich looked at his best friend, a bit confused before just walking through the door.

“Hello?” asked Rob.

“Hey Rob, it’s (lawyer’s name).”

“Oh hey, please tell me you’re calling with good news.” him and Y/N were expecting the official call any day now.

“Actually, Rob, I have good news indeed. I just got the paper work from Y/N’s biological parents. They signed each form, waiving their legal rights to the guardianship of Y/N Y/L/N. Congrats, you just gained the responsibility of a 15-year-old.” said Rob’s lawyer with a laugh.

“Thank you, thank you so much.” said Rob, hanging up and giving himself the authority to do a fist pump. After the social worker had visited the two of them the past Monday, he was glad this was all over. Y/N finally had a safe home.

Walking into the green room, all eyes turned to him as it was quite obvious Rob was in a better mood than he had been in all day.

“What’s put a pep in your step there, Mr. Benedict?” asked Briana. Briana, Kim, Rich, Jason, Jensen, Jared, Matt, Mark, Ruth, Billy, Stephen, and Mike all sat, looking at Rob with questioning eyes.

“Oh, nothing that you won’t find out in the next five minutes. Where’s Y/N?” asked Rob.

“Here I am.” said Y/N, walking out of the bathroom.

In the month that Y/N had been staying with Rob, it was like she had become a completely different person, her personality flipping a switch. She was more outgoing, and less afraid to strike up a conversation with someone.

Teachers noticed at school, enjoying the fact that the girl now walked into class with a smile on her face. The few friends she had were surprised, but didn’t dare question why their friend was a lot happier than she used to be.

She even was more outgoing backstage at the convention, a lot more present and into everything that happened at the hotel. It was no longer having to do her job worried about what would happen when she left that Sunday.

In the almost two days of the current con, she was confident enough to be able to call the rest of the cast her friends, no longer just sticking to Rob’s side.

The cast was just happy to know the kid was okay, details didn’t matter.

————————————————————————————————————-

“What’s up, Rob?” I asked, closing the bathroom door behind me. I could tell by just looking at the man that something good had happened.

I looked at the others, they all shrugged not knowing the answer to give.

“Well, Y/N, I just got off the phone with my lawyer.” My heart immediately started pounding, all the negative outcomes pouring through my head.

The judge didn’t approve the petition, my parents didn’t waive their guardian rights, hell knowing them they didn’t even turn in the forms at all. The options were endless.

“Rob-.” Rob held his hand up, stopping me before I could even continue. He knew what I was thinking. Rob reached into his pocket, pulling out what seemed to be a lanyard…with a small key attached to the bottom.

“I am now officially your legal guardian.” said Rob, the smile having yet to leave his face.  My jaw dropped.

“They actually signed the waiver forms?”

“They actually signed the waiver forms. You never have to see them ever again. Heck, according to my lawyer, they even dropped a box of your clothes and belongings to her office.” I quickly engulfed Rob into a tight hug. A soft ‘umph’ could be heard as he didn’t expect it.

“What the heck just happened?” asked Rich.

Rob and I laughed turning to our friends, knowing now that we had no choice but to tell them everything. And we did exactly that. Few were surprised to hear that Rob had been right those weeks ago when he had first stated his fear; wondering why I hadn’t said anything before. Some joked, telling Rob he didn’t know what he was in store for when it came to raising a girl, Jensen, Briana, and Kim joking the most as they were the ones with daughters.

But all in all, they were supportive, the group of us sharing a toast with the drinks we had before Rob, Mike, Billy, and Stephen were called on stage.

————————————————————————————————————-

The first few months were hard, as the nightmares that had started still persisted through the night no matter where I was living. But each night, Rob was there, bolting through my bedroom door in a near instant as soon as he heard the first sound of screams.

“Shhh, Y/N it’s okay. Kiddo, it’s me. You’re safe. They’re not here, I promise. You’re just having a bad dream.”

Rob repeated the words to you each night the dreams went on, waiting until you had calmed and even staying until you had fallen back asleep. They could happen multiple times a night, sometimes to the point where Rob would let you stay home from school because he knew you wouldn’t have been able to last.

But not once did he complain.

It wasn’t until about three months later when Rob had fallen asleep in a Louden Swain rehearsal for the second time that Billy confronted him.

“Rob, what the heck is going on?” asked Billy. Stephen and Mike had already left the music studio for the day.

“Sorry man, just haven’t had the best opportunities to sleep lately.” said Rob, not meaning to yawn in the middle of that sentence, but it happened anyway.

“Dude, it’s just you and Y/N at home, what could possibly be keeping you up so much?”

Rob sighed, giving in to his friend and telling him about your nightmares, not getting into details by any means, but he was worried, and he wasn’t quite sure what to do at this point.

“I don’t know man. I’m just worried I don’t have the tools to help her with this. It’s not like you have control on your subconscious.”

“Have you suggested taking her to therapy?” asked Billy.

“What?” He had to admit, he hadn’t thought that far.

“Well, think about it Rob. She’s been through hell and back with her parents, that much has been obvious. Who knows what the heck they could have done to her, who knows everything she’s been through. Maybe talking to a professional wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.” said Billy.

Rob sighed, thanking his friend, knowing that he was more than probably right.

You were extremely hesitant at first when Rob brought the option up to you at dinner, you didn’t want Rob to have to pay for another thing for you, especially something that you didn’t necessarily think was needed.

“Y/N, you know I’m here for you, whenever you decide you’re ready to talk to me about what happened to you, or what the dreams are even about. I just think that for the meantime, talking to a professional defiantly won’t hurt. You haven’t slept yourself in weeks.

Well, he wasn’t wrong about that.

But it wasn’t until you got Rob to agree to let you pay for at least half of the cost before you agreed to go.

And frankly, it worked.

Rob had found a therapist that was local, and agreed to work around both you and Rob’s acting schedule, and your school schedule as well.

(Wayward Sisters had recently been announced, and you were in talks with producers to be a key character.)

After the second session, the therapist had given you a very mild sedative to help you sleep at night, and it worked like a charm. The nightmares disappeared almost instantly. After the fifth, you weren’t afraid to tell Rob about the things that had happened to you, the beatings you had taken, or even that time you had went weeks where the only food you had was what was served to you at school.

You even had the nerve to tell him about the scars left on you that hadn’t come from anyone else but you.

But Rob sat and listened, not daring to say a word until you were completely finished. He didn’t judge, he didn’t question.

“Promise me that if you ever feel like doing that to yourself ever again, Y/N, that you’ll come to me, or Rich, or Billy, or any one of us.”

“Yeah, I promise Rob.”

Giving you a hug and making you a promise that everything was gonna be okay, the two of you headed off to bed. As you laid in bed, Rob’s words kept replaying in your mind.

“Everything is gonna be okay.”

Frankly, you believed him.

————————————————————————————————————-

Sometimes it was the little things Rob did for you that meant the most, and he didn’t even realize he was doing them.

He had taken you to get your drivers permit the second you had gotten the courage to ask, and even had given you a few drivers lessons whenever the two of you each had free time.

Your acting career was taking off gradually, guest spots on shows here and there, while still going to school full time. Rob had gotten the same amount of acting jobs he usually did, his work schedule never really changing. He took you with him if the job lasted for more than a week, but trusted you enough to stay home by yourself if it was less. It especially helped when Kim offered to give you a ride to school when Rob was out of town, considering she was up and about anyway with her own kids, and Rob’s apartment was right on the way to her own kid’s school. Rob left more than enough money for food and any supplies of course.

However, you had just officially signed on for Wayward Sisters, which was supposed to start filming the summer after your current school year had ended. This meant you would be flying up to Vancouver more frequently, and while you and Rob hadn’t worked the details out, you both knew how busy life was about to get.

It had reached May, though, which meant it was the end of your sophomore year of high school, and time for the parent-teacher evaluation conferences that they held at the end of each year. Your parents had never shown up to one before, and to be honest, you were a little weary about asking Rob to attend.

“C’mon, Y/N, just ask him. You know how less painful the conference will go when you don’t have to explain to Mr. McAdams that your parents are working, and that you swear you’ll get the information to them later. It really isn’t that big of a deal.” said Hayden, your best friend, Mr. McAdams being the head teacher of the 10th grade class. The two of you sat at the kitchen table of you and Rob’s apartment that morning, having spent the past night working on a science project that hadn’t been completed due to the fact that you had just spent the past week and a half in Vancouver filming a Supernatural episode. Her mom had offered to give the two of you a ride to school that morning and right now you were just waiting.

“Hayden, it’s just a conference. I’ve been lying to every head teacher we’ve had since these conferences started in sixth grade. Three more won’t hurt.”

“Three more of what won’t hurt?” asked Rob, appearing suddenly from the door way, carrying his guitar case as he had a rehearsal with Louden Swain today.

“Nothing, just thinking about how three more days of school won’t kill us too bad.” you said, surprised about how fast that had come out of your mouth. Luckily Hayden came to your rescue.

“Hey, Y/N, my mom’s out front.” said Hayden, standing up and grabbing her bag off the counter.

“Um, I’ll be back around 7:00 tonight.” you said. You may not have asked Rob to come to the conference, but you were still required to. You rushed out the door behind your friend before Rob even had the chance to respond, but not before a paper slipped out of your backpack as it hit the table.

Rob picked it up, surprised as he read what was on it.

REQUIRED PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE

Student and Parent must be present to speak with Mr. McAdams about your child’s performance throughout this past school year.

4:30-7:00 PM

Y/N Y/L/N: 6:30PM.

You can bet your ass Rob showed up that night, leaving the Louden Swain rehearsal early with no explanation to the guys even.

Heck he was even more surprised to learn that in the near year you had been staying with him, your grades had improved dramatically.

“I don’t know what you’ve been doing, Mr. Benedict, but even with all the traveling Y/N has done in the past year, her GPA went from a 2.7 to 3.5. The highest jump she’s ever had.

Y/N didn’t know it, but as Rob looked at you from the chair sitting next to yours, he held so much pride that he didn’t look at you like the kid he had decided to take in.

He looked at you as his daughter.

————————————————————————————————————-

It wasn’t until the end of the next school year that the fans found out that Rob was your legal guardian, since the two of you had kept it severely secret for legal reasons; especially since the both of you had no idea where your biological parents were.

But your junior year had ended, and even with flying out of the country nearly every week for a TV show, taking most of your classes on a set or in your trailer by a tutor, you had made the honor roll for the first time, even made the dean’s list.

(And if you waited a few more weeks, the two of you would find out you had gotten a better than average score on both the SAT and ACT).

But Honors night had come around, and Rob, Rich, Kim, and Billy sat in attendance as the names were being called for students to get their certificates.

(You had gotten really close to the other three over the past two years, considering you and Rob’s work schedule, and the amount of times you stayed over at Billy’s house when Louden Swain rehearsals would run late.)

“Y/N Y/L/N.” said the dean, the four adults jumped up, cheering so loud that you couldn’t help but smile as you got on stage and accepted the certificate.

“I’m so proud of you!” said Rob. The four stood outside the auditorium, Rob immediately wrapping you in a hug the second you walked out.

“Thanks Rob.” you said, nearly emotional. Freshman year teachers were offering to put you in help classes, and you couldn’t believe yourself that you had made it to the dean list at all.

“Okay, okay. I gotta get a picture of the two of you.” said Kim, having already taken a pic of you and Rob when he had hugged you.

You and Rob laughed, not really caring at this point where the picture ended up. The twitter notification came up on your phone just a few moments later.

@kimrhodes4real:

Couldn’t be prouder of @Y/T/N. Just had to get the two of them together. *Image attached*

Fans were obviously confused on why Rob had been pointed out, but it wasn’t until Rob posted a picture later that night that it was officially let out in the world.

@RobBenedict:

When your kid makes the honor and dean’s list after workin her ass off all year, you take her out to any restaurant she wants :D @Y/T/N

Rob didn’t know it, but you nearly called him Dad that night.

Piece By Piece- (Rob Benedict x Reader) PART 3

A/N: This may seem like the last chapter but I swear it isn't.

Summary: Reader is a teenage actress on Supernatural, and at 15 years old her abusive parents kick her out of the house because they disapprove of her career. After an emotional breakdown at the latest convention, Rob takes her in.

Pairing: Father Figure Rob x Reader

Word Count: 1,424

WARNING: Parental Abuse, Neglect, Emotional Breakdown, Fear, Loneliness.

“So, what’s going to happen to her now?” asked Rob, sitting at his kitchen table across from the social worker that had arrived at his house.

It had been about a week and a half since Rob had told Y/N she was staying at his house, and he had finally been able to get a social worker to investigate. Living with Rob was actually pretty easy. Since she had been kicked out with only a duffle bag, Rob had been giving her old clothes she could wear until further notice.

Luckily, he was the taller one.

But really, it was really easy. Y/N helped out as much as she could, always making sure to clean up after herself if it was needed, always making sure to pay for her expenses if she could. But even then, Rob never asked for a dime of money.

He also had no issues what so ever it seemed with waking up at seven in the morning to take her to school. They had discovered Rob only lived a twenty-minute car ride away.

For what seemed like the first time in Y/N’s life, everything seemed to be going fine.

“Well, after one visit to her home, I can tell by just the outside that it’s not stable for a teenage girl to live there.” said the social worker, making some last-minute adjustments to the statement Rob had given her.

“What do you mean?” asked Rob.

“There was a decent size hole in the roof right above where Y/N’s room would be.” Rob’s eyes went wide, not expecting that answer at all.

“Her parents made it clear that she wasn’t welcome back in the house, however. As a minor, she’ll be awarded into custody of the state. Y/N will be placed in one of the foster homes.”

“Wait, what? There’s nowhere else she can go?” asked Rob.

“There are no local family members we could find, and the only living family member we could find was a grandma living in an old folk’s home across the country. She’s in no state to care for a fifteen-year-old.” said the social worker.

“What about her job on the show? Her job at conventions? Her school?”

“She’ll most likely have to leave it, the foster house would be required to house and feed her. Nothing says they should have to pay for flights and things like that.”

“How was she paying for them before?”

“Apparently that’s part of the reason why her parents had kicked her out. They refused to keep paying for them once they found out what exactly they were paying for.” said the social worker. He closed up his notebook, packing them into his briefcase.

“School?” asked Rob. This was getting worse and worse as he listened on.

“We’ll always do our best to find her a foster family that lives in the same district, but again. It’s no guarantee.”

Rob frowned, defiantly not liking the answers that he was getting from the social worker sitting in front of him.

He had known Y/N for almost two years, and she was a fantastic kid. She was so smart, smarter than Rob in some categories, he had to admit.

He was never so good at math, and after watching her do homework backstage at conventions for the past year, she was a whole lot better.

She was polite, always did what was asked for her, sometimes even more. For the week and a half she had lived with him he didn’t have one complaint to give. He knew she deserved better than being forced to uproot her entire life at such a young age.

Especially since he knew he was fully capable of preventing it.

Suddenly, a knock came on Rob’s apartment door. He looked down at his watch, realizing it was 4:07. Y/N had sworn she had a ride for when school ended, but Rob had just now realized he had forgotten to give her a key.

“Coming!” yelled Rob, racing to the door to let his new-found roommate in.

Well…

“Hey.” I said as Rob opened the door. I looked forward, seeing the man in the business suit standing up from the kitchen table.

“Oh, hello.” I said.

“Hello, Y/N. Nice to meet you.”

“I’m assuming you’re the social worker Rob told me he was going to call?” I asked. I set my bag down on the floor, but I left my shoes on. If this goes how it usually goes, I wasn’t staying here for much longer.

“So, let’s just get right to it, what’s happening to me now?”

“Well, I took a visit to your parents, and the department has concluded that it’s not a safe environment for you to be staying in. Thank god Mr. Benedict here realized there was something wrong when he did. You’ll be taken into custody of the state, and be placed into a foster home.” I nodded, picking my bag back up.

“Wait.” said Rob suddenly, holding his hand up before me and the social worker could even move an inch.

“Can she stay with me? I am more than willing than to petition for legal guardianship.” said Rob, no hesitation present in his voice what so ever.

“Rob what are-.” the social worker cut me off.

“Well, you would need to petition the court for guardianship, fill out the appropriate forms, alert her parents, and go through a trial run. You’d be given a month before an agent would come out here and check on everything going on.”

“Tell me how to get those forms and it’s done.” said Rob. My eyes went wide and my jaw dropped in shock. Rob offering to let me stay with him permanently was defiantly something I did not see coming.

“Also, considering she’s over 14, you need consent from Y/N.” said the social worker, turning to me.

I stood there in silence, still a little dumbfounded.

“I’m sorry, I’m- I’m just a little shocked that this is happening.”

“Is that a yes?” asked Rob.

I looked at the man in front of me.

Rob Benedict was without a doubt the best human being I have ever met. I didn’t want to burden him, it was the thought that was pounding at me in the back of my mind. But I looked up at him, seeing something in his eyes I’d never seen before when I looked at my own father.

He cared.

“Yeah,” I said, nodding rather quickly, “yeah of course I give consent.”

“Well it’s settled then. I’ll have the papers dropped by within the week Mr. Benedict.” said the social worker, shaking Rob’s hand before turning, leaving the apartment.

The second the door closed I turned back to Rob.

“Rob, I, for the love of god Rob you don’t have to do this. I, I don’t want to burden you more than I already have. You’ve done, you’ve done so much for me already by just being my friend.”

“Hey, Y/N. Look at me, you’re not a burden. I’ve known you for nearly two years, you’re a joy to be around. You’re a good kid, and you deserve better than you having to uproot your life. You deserve better than having your dad leave you behind, I wouldn’t wish that feeling upon my worst enemy.”

I nodded, making the connection immediately.

“But you know everything that’s wrong with me Rob; the nightmares, you’ve witnessed first-hand my anxiety…”

“I don’t care.”

“Do you realize the expenses of housing a teenager for what, the next three years?” I asked. I was gonna be flat out realistic.

“Hey, I’ve been on my own for who knows how long. I have plenty of money put away, enough for me and you together. Plus, I gotta admit, I like taking care of someone else.”

“I-Rob, I just, I don’t know what…”

Rob sighed, walking towards me, placing both his hands on my shoulders. He could tell I still wasn’t totally believing everything that was going on.

“Y/N, your dad quite literally kicked you out of your house. I can see he broke that soul of yours into a million different pieces. If you let me, I will try my damn hardest to help put those pieces back together.”

I smiled, a tear escaping my eye as I immediately wrapped my arms around him, Rob’s shirt getting wet as the tears kept going.

But it was okay, because Rob knew they were tears of happiness.

And it was okay, because maybe I finally had found a home.

Strung Out Photographs (A Billy Moran Fanfic)- Chapter 4

A/N: Either Chapter 6 or 7 is going to explain Rob and Carver’s fight. It’s coming soon. :D

Sunday; back to the photo opps for me.

Jensen and Jared’s panel was going on, which meant it was time for Rob and Rich’s photo opps. I had met Jensen and Jared when they had arrived that morning, and they seemed like nice people. However, every single person I had met this week, beside Richard, had one thing in common.

No one knew I existed.

And if I was being honest, I wasn’t surprised.

“I learned a different language for you, isn’t that enough?”

I closed my eyes, shuddering at the memory as the line of fans moved. You don’t see your brother in nearly four years, the memories apparently will come back up.

As I took each photo for a fan, I watched how my brother interacted with each person. He was caring, and I could tell he wanted to take his time with each and every fan that walked up.

It was like he was a different person.

As the line of people got smaller, and eventually ended, I took the camera of my neck, packing it up in my bag for now. I didn’t need it until Jared and Jensen’s photo opps a few hours later, and I had my own I could use for panel candids.

I zipped the bag up, suddenly feeling a buzz in my back pocket from my phone.

NEW MESSAGE: Billy Moran :-P

Am I making this hand shape right?

Attached was a photo, it looked like it nearly flipping off the camera. I laughed, typing back a response. I knew what he was trying to sign.

TO: Billy Moran :-P

Are you, are you trying to sign the word dog?

I got a response barely a second later.

NEW MESSAGE: Billy Moran :-P

I swear I wasn’t flipping you off.

Shaking my head, I stuffed my phone back into my pocket. Everyone was scheduled to be on a lunch break soon, so I could just show him the right sign then.

Billy and I had been texting all morning, and it was the easiest of conversations I’d ever been able to have with someone.

The dude was growing on me, I had to admit.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I turned around to face my brother.

“Hey, Rich and I are going to the green room for lunch. Want to walk with us?” asked Rob. He was using the sign name I had given Rich the first time I had met him; an “R” going across his upper lip and down his chin. He had had quite the beard.

“Yeah, sure. I was heading there anyway.” I signed back.

“So, how’s your first convention treating you?” asked Rob as Rich, him, and I were walking down the hotel hallway.

“Pretty great actually. I was happy to take a photography job, but it’s been really fun to meet all of you guys.”

Rich suddenly stopped, his lips moving way too fast for me to be able to lip read. I looked at my brother, seeing him laughing as he lifted up his hand.

“Sorry.”

I nudged him on the shoulder, having no idea what just happened.

“What did he say?” I asked, signing to my brother.

“He asked if I could voice what we were saying.” signed Rob, now voicing as it went along.

Oops.

“Anyway, what have you been up to lately, Carver? What’s it been, two years?” asked Rob.

I sighed, expecting nothing less if I was being honest with myself.

“Nearly four years, actually.”

Richard reached his arm out, stopping Rob and I in our tracks, his lips moving as he talked. I quickly looked at Rob.

“You two haven’t spoken in four years?” asked Rich, obviously surprised. It had been at least six since I had met Rich that one time.

Rob and I shrugged, nearly at the same time. No one knew what happened between us, not even our mother. It was a silent decision to keep it to ourselves.

As the three of us walked into the green room, I spotted Billy sitting at a table eating a sandwich. Danny had left about a half hour ago to get him and me lunch. The convention was serving turkey sandwiches and both he and I were allergic.

Billy lifted his head up, a smile appearing as he saw me approach. I slid in the seat next to him as he put his sandwich down. I grabbed his hand, forming it in the right shape to sign the word dog, then showing him the motion on my own.

“My bad.” signed Billy, laughing as he realized how off he was in the first place.

“Amateur’s mistake.” I signed. Billy tilted his head.

“I understood mistake.” I pulled my phone out.

TO: Billy Moran :-P

Amateur’s mistake

Feeling someone slide into the chair next to me, I turned to see Danny sit himself down, plopping a Subway sandwich and a coke bottle in front of me, it was my usual order of meatball.

“Thank you, sir.” I signed to him, opening up the bag.

I saw Billy raise his hand a bit, getting the two of our attention.

“Why, two of you, not eat muffin?” asked Billy, doing his best to sign. I turned to Danny, indicating for a translation.

“I’m impressed Billy, but the sign for sandwich is this.” Danny paused, showing the correct sign. “You just signed the word muffin.” said Danny, signing too.

“We’re both allergic to turkey.” I signed. Danny voiced for me.

“Damn, so close.” said Billy.

I laughed, enjoying the fact that I’ve known this guy for three days, and he was putting in so much effort to just talk to me. I’ve never had that before. Danny glanced at me, I could tell he was thinking the same thing.

I didn’t know Rob and Rich were sitting at the table behind us, Rob staring at the three of them with the utmost surprise.

“Four years, Rob? Really?” asked Rich, not recognizing this behavior that his best friend was showing. Rob was so open and loving to his mother and your two other sisters and brother. But everyone noticed this weekend that he never even mentioned you.

 “I didn’t even notice.”

“It’s the end of the con as we know it, so go home.”

The lines of the jingle replayed through Rob Benedict’s head as he walked down the upstairs hotel hallway.  It was around 5:45 PM, and the con had just ended. Like usual, he had offered you a ride home. Last someone had heard you had gone back up to the two of yours’s hotel room.

Rob rounded the corner, when all of a sudden, the sounds of screams could be heard a few doors down, his door to be exact.

“Y/N.” whispered Rob, taking off running as he tried to get to the door as soon as possible. He knew something was wrong, and this confirmed it.

Getting the hotel key out of his pocket as quickly as he could, Rob was met with the sight of you screaming on the bed. You were kicking and thrashing, but you were also fast asleep.

Rob shut the door, running instantly to your side.

“Y/N, Y/N! Wake up! It’s me, it’s Rob. You’re having a bad dream.” said Rob, shaking your shoulders as safely as he could.

Your eyes whipped open as you shot up in bed, your breathing not slowing down one bit. You knew this, you were having a panic attack.

“Hey, kiddo, look at me.” Rob took your hands, directing your focus to him. “I’m right here, you’re safe. Breathe in, hold for four seconds.” You did as you were told. “Hold for four seconds, Y/N, breath out for four seconds.”

You did as you were told, and it worked, you’re breathing slowed down. You closed your eyes, trying to regain focus.

“Kiddo, you’re trembling, come here.” Rob immediately pulled you into his arms, rubbing your back trying to get you to stop shaking. The damn broke, and the tears began falling as you sobbed in your friend’s arms.

“Kiddo, you gotta tell me what’s wrong. You’re scaring me Y/N, maybe I can help? I promise you you’re safe. It’s me.” said Rob, just trying to comfort you in any way possible.

“You’re worthless, no one needs you. I don’t need you.”

The voice of your father kept repeating in your head as you continued to cry harder. It had hit you, you didn’t have anywhere to go. You were 15, and you were alone. Sure, you had a job, but you were too young to live on your own.

Rob didn’t question it as the tears continued, he just let you cry as long as you did. Just by running into the room he could tell how long you had kept all this inside.

No kid deserved that, Rob could tell anyone from experience.

After a few minutes, you had stopped crying. Rob had wrapped a blanket around you and gotten a glass of water.

“What’s going on, kiddo? I could tell something was wrong the second you walked into the green room on Friday.”

You sat in silence, debating to yourself what you were going to say. Because of the relationship with your parents, you rarely trusted adults.

“Whose been hurting you, Y/N?” asked Rob carefully. He had to start somewhere.

You sighed, looking down at the glass of water in your hands, fiddling your thumbs against the side.

“Rob, my- my parents. My parents kicked me out of the house Friday morning. They’re not good people Rob.” Rob sat back a bit, taking in the shock from your answer. But it all of a sudden made sense. He never understood why your parents never showed up at any of the conventions. He never got why you were alone on every flight you had together.

Rob thought he was just being nice every time he saw you didn’t have any money for food. He didn’t realize how badly you didn’t have anyone.

Well, now he did.

Rob wrapped you in another hug. He knew he didn’t need to push anymore, and he knew how you felt. He knew how it felt for a parent to abandon you, to make you feel like you weren’t worth sticking around for. The words the fell next came without any hesitation.

“You’re staying at my house tonight, Y/N.” said Rob.

“No, Rob, you don’t need to do that.” you said. You stood up going over to your bag to finish throwing the little you had in it. Rob Benedict had done enough for you, and you really didn’t want to dump more on him.

“Where else do you expect to stay?” asked Rob.

“I don’t know! I don’t know. I-.” you stopped, realizing he was right. He was right, and you were exhausted.

Rob sighed, picking your duffle bag off of the bed, and grabbing his suitcase, setting it against the wall.

“Y/N, you are staying at my house tonight. We’re gonna drive through the burger joint, get dinner, and you are sleeping in my guest room. I’ll call freaking child services in the morning, no one kicks a 15-year-old out of the house with nowhere to go.”

Again, he was right.

Taking your duffle bag from him, you followed Rob out the door.

“You know, I’m supposed to be at school tomorrow.”

“Well, I guess I’m giving you a ride.”

Piece By Piece- (Rob Benedict x Reader) PART 1

Summary: Reader is a teenage actress on Supernatural, and at 15 years old her abusive parents kick her out of the house because they disapprove of her career. After an emotional breakdown at the latest convention, Rob takes her in.

Pairing: Father Figure Rob x Reader

Word Count: 1,022

WARNING: Parental Abuse, Neglect, Emotional Breakdown, Fear, Loneliness.

I was six years old when my father first slapped me. I was six years old when my mother told me she wanted nothing to do with me. I was six years old when my father told me I was worthless.

I was 10 years old when I discovered Supernatural, and for the first time in my life I found something that made me happy.

By the time I was 14 years old, I was cast on the show. I lived in Los Angeles, and would do anything to get out of the house for a while. Don’t need much more than a signature to fly out of the country by yourself when it’s for a job.

Hayden Strong, 14-year-old teenager turned hunter after her parents died from hellhounds gone rouge. The best thing that would ever happen to me.

I was 14 years old when my character blew up on the show, and within months I was invited to my first convention. I was 14 years old when I met Rob Benedict.

I was 15 years old when he changed my life forever.

“Get out of here! I never want to see your face in this house ever again! Leave!” yelled dad, letting you have nothing more than a duffle bag as he shoved you out of the house.

I closed my eyes, trying to get the memory from this morning out of my head. It was early Friday morning, and I had taken a cab to the Burbank Convention.

I had officially been kicked out, and I was barely keeping it together.

With my headphones in, I walked into the green room with my head down. I didn’t feel like talking to anybody, and to be quite honest I didn’t think I would be able to handle it. I headed straight for the food table, having been too busy to even think of eating breakfast this morning.

Rob, Rich, Kim, and Brianna were the only ones in the green room at the moment, and I could feel their eyes on me in confusion. Why hadn’t I said anything to them yet?

Placing slices of apple onto my plate, they nearly fell out of my hand as someone suddenly tapped me on the shoulder. Turning around quickly, I came face to face with the one and only Rob Benedict.

Over the past year, Rob Benedict has basically become my best friend. He was there to help me around my first convention, he sat with me through every homework assignment I had to do backstage. He bought me every meal I didn’t have money for, every time the cast went out to a surprise dinner.

He even started to pay for a two-bedroom hotel room when he discovered I had been spending each night of a convention weekend sleeping on the couch in the green room.

I pulled my headphones out, looking up at him.

“He-Hey Rob. What’s up?” I asked. Trying to appear as normal as possible was not something I was apparently good at.

“You gonna tell me what’s wrong?” asked Rob, keeping his voice down for my benefit. I wasn’t as open to the rest of the cast as I was to him.

“Nothing, you know. I’m- I’m fine. It’s just been a rough morning you know?” All of a sudden, a door slammed, which caused me to jump with the noise. Rob noticed immediately.

“Hey guys!” Rich’s handler had walked in, but Rob kept his eyes on me as I tried to keep my eyes from spilling. Luckily all the attention from everyone else went to the handler.

“Y/N, it’s me. You know you can talk to me about anything.”

I trusted Rob, but God he already had to deal with so much being my friend. I already felt like so much of a burden for him. He already did so much for me I didn’t want to put more on his shoulders.

I took a deep breath.

“I’m fine, Rob. I swear. It was just a rough morning, nothing more.”

“Hey, Y/N! You’re scheduled for autographs in about five minutes, we gotta head down there.” My own handler had entered the room.

“I’ll see you later, Rob.” I said, beginning to walk away. Rob grabbed my arm, making me wince from the hand-shaped bruise I was hiding under my sweater. Rob let go quickly, reaching into his pocket and holding out a room key to me.

“Here, in case you want to put your suitcase in our room later.”

I took my room key from him.

“Thanks, but I only have this anyway.” I held up my duffle bag. I bid goodbye, turning around and leaving with my handler for the day. Thank God, the convention has started, I could definitely use the distraction.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“You alright, Rob?” asked Rich. Rob, Rich, Jared, and Jensen sat at the lunch table backstage in the green room. It was Sunday of the convention. Y/N was doing photo opps.

“Yeah um… I dunno. Has, has Y/N been acting a bit strange this weekend to you guys?” asked Rob.

“What do you mean?” asked Jensen.

“I don’t know guys. She’s barely said a word to any of us all weekend. I just feel like something’s off.”

“What are you talking about? She barely says a word to us any weekend. You know she keeps to herself.” said Jared.

“Yeah, but she always talks to me. I just feel like something’s wrong.” said Rob.

“Care to elaborate?” asked Rich.

“On Friday, when she got here, she jumped when a door slammed.”

“Maybe it just scared her?”

“I grabbed her arm, not tight or anything, I just wanted to give her the room key. But she flinched, she flinched like it seriously hurt, like I was grabbing a bruise or something.” said Rob.

“Are you suggesting someone’s been hurting her?” asked Rich. It was a big accusation to make, especially for a teenager living with her parents.

The sound of a door opening turned the four men’s heads, Y/N had walked in to get some lunch as well.

“I’m suggesting someone’s scaring her.”

Strung Out Photographs (A Billy Moran Fanfic)- Chapter 3

*BILLY’S POINT OF VIEW*

“So, Rob, why didn’t you tell any of us about this photo taker sister of yours?” asked Briana. The band, Jason, Rich, Rob, Briana, Ruth, Matt, and Kim sat at a restaurant for dinner before some of the others would head back for karaoke.

“Yeah, am I seriously the only one who’s met her?” asked Rich, shoving Rob a bit. Rob pushed back, obviously annoyed.

“Look, Carver and I aren’t the closet of siblings in the world. Rich met her once when he visited Missouri a few years back.”

“Any reason why she kept to herself all day?” asked Kim.

“Because she was in work mode.” said a voice. We all looked up to see Danny walking towards us.

“Hey, Danny right?” asked Briana as Danny leant himself against Rob’s chair.

“Danny Bracker. Sorry I hadn’t gotten the chance to introduce myself properly earlier. I’m Carver’s interpreter.” said Danny; he reached over, shaking Briana’s hand.

“Nice to meet you, Danny.” I said. He looked over to me.

“Billy, right?” I nodded.

“Hey, thanks for taking the time to actually sign to Carver earlier, even if it was just finger spelling.” Rob whipped his head over to me in shock and confusion; I could just feel my face going red.

“Uh, no problem.” I said, scratching the back of my neck nervously.

“Yeah, just don’t tell her that came from me, it just doesn’t happen often. She appreciated it.” If only he saw the amount of ASL videos in my search history right now.

“What do you mean she was in work mode?” asked Rob.

“When she’s taking photos she tends not to sign to anyone, even me to be honest. Help’s her concentrate.”

“Wanna join us for the rest of dinner?” asked Rich, gesturing to the empty chair at the end of the table.

“Would, but I’m just hear picking up food myself. Carver’s locked herself in our hotel room editing photos so she doesn’t have to worry during karaoke.”

All of a sudden, a notification went off on my phone. I looked down to see it was from Twitter.

@StrungOutPhotos tagged you in a photo

I unlocked my phone, assuming it was just another fan and photographer at the convention.

Whoa

I looked at the photo of me; it was during the intro this morning. It was a picture of me playing, and ego aside it was one of the best photos of me I had ever seen.

“Um, Danny? What’s Carver’s photography company called?” I asked, still in awe of the photo.

“Strung Out Photographs, why?” I turned my phone towards him so even everyone at the table could see.

“Whoa.” said Rob, looking at my phone. Danny just smirked.

“2 Cheese Burgers. Bracker!” called someone from the counter.

“And I’ll see you guys at karaoke.” said Danny. He winked at me, walking away.

“You alright there, Bob-O?” asked Rich. I turned to Rob, seeing he was still staring at my phone.

“Yeah, yeah. Sorry… It’s just I’ve never seen one of her photos before.”

I took my phone back, immediately retweeting the photo and following her account, photo and personal.

There was something special about this girl, and I was definitely going to find out what.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Saturday Night Special- Carver’s P.O.V

“Danny, I can tell by your face that you don’t want to be here.” I said, signing to my friend as we stood against the wall of the convention hall. Fans were filling in as the Saturday Night Special was about to start. Chris had left hours ago, photography was up to me for the rest of the weekend.

“No, no it’s fine. It’s just a little loud in here. I can live with the headache.” signed Danny. I gave my best friend the look. In the 20 years we’ve known each other he still wasn’t able to lie to me.

“Go. I promise I’ll be fine. All I’m going to do is take photos, and I’ll be up in the hotel room in no time.”

“You sure?” he asked.

Hanging my camera on my neck, I turned Danny around, pushing him to the exit. As much as I loved the dude, him and his headaches were not a pretty sight. I could see him hold up surrender hands as he walked away.

I turned to the crowd, taking in the sight before me. It was 9:30ish the last I checked, and people were crowding in inside. People were coming in to see my brother, they were coming in to see Rob. He had made it, the dream he had his entire life had come true.

And no matter how long it had been since we had even spoken to each other, I was proud. So. Damn. Proud.

“Just because I can’t hear it doesn’t take away my ability to appreciate it, it doesn’t take away my ability to appreciate you.”

I closed my eyes, trying to get the memory of the fight out of my head. That was then. I was here now, this was a chance to start over.

All of a sudden, a felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see the one and only Billy Moran standing before. It wasn’t hard within the past 2 days to learn his last name.

“Nice shirt.” signed Billy, laughing I assumed. My eyes widened as I looked down, seeing the new Louden Swain shirt I had bought at the merch table earlier. However, my eyes widened for a different reason, because all of a sudden Billy here knew more ASL than he did yesterday.

I tilted my head.

“Learned something new I see.” I signed, curious if he’d get it.

Billy’s eyes lit up, a smile appearing wide on his face.

“I understood that!” he signed. It was my turn to laugh.

“I’m impressed.” Billy tilted his head in confusion, which made me laugh just a little bit harder.

“I-m-p-r-e-s-s-e-d.” I repeated the sign so he could match it together.

“Thank you.” signed Billy, the happiness evident.

Billy pulled out his phone, quickly pulling something up to show me the screen. It was a blank text message screen; ah. Billy Moran’s asking for my number.

I smiled, taking the phone and typing the nine digits. I handed him back his phone and watched him type something, feeling my own phone buzz in my pocket; I pulled it out.

MESSAGE: Unknown I just thought it would be an easier form of communication until I got better at ASL.

I typed my response back.

TO: Unknown What makes you so intrigued to learn a new language?

NEW MESSAGE: Unknown I may or may not have just met an intriguing girl.

Whelp. I didn’t expect that.

I looked up to the guy in front of my, one of my brother’s best friends, who was, well attempting to flirt with me. And frankly? I found myself wanting him to.

Billy looked down at an old calculator watch on his wrist. I looked at my phone.

9:50PM

NEW MESSAGE: Unknown I gotta go. *hey look up*

“See you later?” signed Billy.

I smiled, raising my own hands.

“Definitely.”

Billy smiled himself, mouthing the word bye to me before taking off to head backstage. I took a look around the room, trying to get back into focus so I could do the job I was paid to be here for. But, my mind couldn’t leave the thought of Billy.

I took my phone back out quickly, entering his contact name in. Maybe I was right about before.

I am here now, and it’s a chance to start something over.

Little did I know a certain rock star would play a big part in that.

The Imaginary Friend (Chapter 21)

A/N: It’s 6 AM I am not responsible for any grammar and or continuity mistakes

My eyes sat closed as I stood at the bottom of the familiar front steps, the tears dried against my face from the amount that had fallen in the hours it took me to reach my destination. My body was drenched, a side effect from standing in the rain for, at this point, who knows how long.

“Ranger, you with us?” asked Dean, me not having spoken for the longest of moments.

I looked down at my arm, the long gash still fresh, but no longer bleeding. It was luckily the only physical effect remaining from the torture I had endured.

“Gabriel could only do so much to heal his brother’s injuries.” said Castiel. I stayed still, not being capable of understanding what had just happened to me.

“I think she’s in shock.” I heard Bobby say.

“I don’t think I can be here.” I said in my head, directing the message to Castiel.

“She doesn’t think she can be here.” said Cas out loud. Sam and Dean looked at each other in worry, not knowing what to do at all.

“What can we do to help?” asked Sam.

I sat in the same spot for what felt like the longest time, staring at the gash in my arm that was quite obviously going to leave a scar.

 I felt nothing.

 I felt everything.

 I…

 I…

I felt like I needed to get out of there.

I stood up immediately, so fast I nearly fell over again. My brothers took a step back, not sure what I was about to do and no way hell wanting to do anything to push me.

“I... I, my truck. Is my truck here?” I asked.

 “It’s right outside.” said Bobby.

“I, I’m sorry guys but I just. I need to get out of here.” I said, pushing past the four men in front of me. I didn’t care what they said, I didn’t care what they thought. I’ve never felt like this before in my entire life.

“Ranger! Wait!” I heard Dean say behind me as they followed me out the door.

Cas lifted his arm, stopping the man from going any further.

“Cas, what are you doing? We can’t just let her go after everything that just happened!” said Sam, Bobby nodding in agreement.

“It’s okay,” said Cas, watching me as I pulled out of the driveway, “I’m quite certain I know exactly where she is going.

I opened my eyes, the scene from the night before replaying in my head over and over again. Without even thinking I walked up the stairs, not really sure what to do at all. I hadn’t told Chuck I was coming, and I assumed he was able to see nothing of the previous few day’s events.

I raised my hand, knocking quietly. It had taken me a whole day to drive to his house, as there were multiple times where I had to pause on the side of the road because of how hard I had been crying. It was evening, and for all I knew he could be asleep in bed.

But it’s Chuck, of course he wasn’t.

“Well hello there, beautiful.” greeted Chuck as he opened the door with a smile. It quickly disappeared as he saw my shivering state.

 “Cinnamon.”

“Oh my God, Ranger.” Chuck quickly pulled me in the house, wrapping me in his arms to at least try and get me to stop shaking.

I automatically broke again, the tears now flowed twice as fast as I sobbed into my boyfriend’s chest. But it was different now; now I at least felt safe.

“Shhh, it’s alright. You’re safe. I got you Red, I’m right here. I promise you’re safe.” said Chuck, whispering it into my ear.

I stood there sobbing for a few more moments, just wanting to be with him right now, just wanting to forget.

“Here, Ranger, let’s get you to the couch, okay? I’ll go get you a change of clothes, you’re drenched.” I felt myself nod as he began to walk, leading me to his living room. Sitting me down, Chuck immediately wrapped me in a blanket, leaning down to kiss me on the forehead.

“I’ll be right back.”

I sat on Chuck’s couch silently as I waited for him to come back with a change of clothes, thank God I was shorter than him by a good two inches or else there wouldn’t have even been a point.

“Here, Red” said Chuck, coming back into the room. He held out a t-shirt, sweatpants, and a pair of his boxers I could use.

“Do you need help getting to the bathroom?” asked Chuck as I took the clothes out of his hand. My body was still extremely sore, not to mention exhausted.

“Chuck, you, you can say no, but could, could you help me change?” I asked, my voice small.

Chuck tilted his head in confusion, the concern evident in his face. He could hear the fear coming out of my voice.

“Yeah, yeah of course.”

Chuck led me to the bathroom, slowly helping me strip my shirt off while handing me a towel so I could dry off.

“You okay?” he asked.

“Yeah.”

Chuck handed me the sweats and boxers, turning around so I could have the privacy to change, helping me the best that he could.

“You know you don’t have to turn around, Blue. I know I’m safe with you.”

“Yeah, I know, but I don’t want to push anything that doesn’t need to be pushed tonight.”

I smiled, “I love you too.”

“Can I turn back around?” asked Chuck.

“Yeah.” He turned back around, leading me upstairs to his bedroom, sitting on his bed.

“Ranger, your arm, what…?” he looked down. I could see the tears welling up in his eyes as he could see how serious of a reason why I had shown up.

“What happened?”

I took a breath, trying to gather my thoughts before I said anything.

“We, we thought we found another horseman. Death, we thought we found Death.” My voice shook as I tried to continue. Chuck pulled himself up against the headboard, he pulled me in his lap as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Me, Sam, Dean, Jo, Ellen, Cas, we went to confront Death, but- but Lucifer. He was there.”

“I saw what happened to Jo and Ellen, Red. I’m so, so sorry.” said Chuck, squeezing me tighter. I forgot he could see everything that had happened, everything except what had happened with me.

“Lucifer, he… he tortured me basically. He, burned my insides. God, it burned.” I laid my arm out in front of Chuck so he could see the long gash that he had remained.

“He boiled my blood from the inside, to the point where it split my skin open.”

“Lucifer did this?” asked Chuck, gasping as he looked at my arm. I nodded, not really knowing how to respond.

I looked up at Chuck, seeing the tears and anger in his eyes. But it was weird, it was a new anger that I had never seen before, and frankly it scared me.

“Chuck? What’s wrong?”

Blue turned to me, wiping the tear that quickly escaped his eye. Chuck leaned down, kissing me softly, and wiping the tears from my face.

“Everything’s okay, Red. You’re safe here, I promise. Let’s just get some sleep, okay? I can tell you need the rest, and we can talk more in the morning.”

I nodded, sliding under the covers next to him as I laid my head my head on his chest, Chuck wrapped his arm around me.

“I love you so much, Blue.”

“I love you too Red, I love you too. Just get some sleep.” He kissed the top of my head.

I closed my eyes, about to drift off. But before I fell asleep, I heard Chuck whisper something that I probably wasn’t supposed to hear.

“I’ll take care of it. It will be over soon.”

“Everything alright, Robbie?” asked Rich, walking up behind his best friend. It was almost time for the Saturday Night Special, and I stayed by himself in the corner of the greenroom.

“What? Oh, um, yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just been a really long day.” I said as I rubbed my forehead. I couldn’t get Y/N’s song out of my head, especially the one lyric.

“Before you leave me today…”

Did she really think that I was going to leave her? I’m in love with her, and I thought that she knew that. Did she really think because she was afraid that I would throw that away?

“Everything okay with you and Y/N? Man, I’m sorry that whole mess got blown up earlier. I could see that you were both shaken up about it.” said Rich.

I sighed, sitting down on the floor against the wall, Rich following my actions.

“She thought I was gonna leave her.” I said. Rich whipped his head towards me, the surprise evident.

“What? What happened?”

I didn’t really know what to say; I knew I couldn’t exactly tell Rich everything.

“Something happened to her in the past, and it’s something that we talked about. But, I don’t know I guess she just thought that what had happened to her I would shame her for.” I said.

“Have you talked to her about it yet?” asked Rich.

“Haven’t had the time. She went up to our room till the concert and I got whisked away to autos and photo opps.”

All of a sudden, I could hear the sound of the door opening, I looked up and Y/N had walked in.

“Here’s your chance.” Said Rich.

“Please give a warm welcome to Louden Swain!” said Misha’s voice that could be heard from the stage. Billy, Mike, and Norton headed out, obviously waiting for me. I looked at Y/N.

“Later.” I could see her mouth.

I nodded, running out to take my place on the stage.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I slipped my key card into my hotel room and walked inside, trying to be as quiet as I could incase Rob had fallen asleep. I could already see that it was pretty much dark in here.

Walking in, I looked up to see Rob standing there, back faced towards me as he looked out the window.

“Hey.” I said, a bit too quiet. I didn’t really know what to do. I didn’t know if the song would change things between us, and I didn’t want it to.

“Hey.” said Rob, turning to face me.

“I’m assuming you listened to the song.”

“Yeah I did.” Said Rob. He sat down on the bed, resting his hands on his legs. I could see the confliction pouring out of him.

“Do you trust me?” asked Rob, finally taking a moment to look me in the eye.

“More than anything.”

“Did you really think I would leave you, Y/N? After everything we have been through?”

I sat down in the chair across from the bed and pulled it up towards him.

“I wrote it based off of the feelings I had before we got together, hell before we got closer.” I laid my hand on top of his.

“I don’t know, I just. I just thought we were getting better. I just thought I would be able to help you, you know?” asked Rob. He stood up, walking back towards the window.

“But you do, Rob. You have, quite a bit actually.” I sighed, walking up to stand next to him.

“I’m sorry Rob, I’m sorry that this has caused you to be, I don’t know, I’m sorry that this caused you to question our relationship.”

“I love you, you know.” Said Rob.

“I know. I love you too, you know.” I said, looking at Rob.

Rob smiled, “I know.”

“Sometimes I just wish, Y/N, that I could just take all that pain away from you. I just wish that I could take all those horrible moments away from you.” Rob sat back down on the bed.

“Well I guess that’s just what we need to do now, isn’t it?” I asked, sitting next to him again. Rob looked at me, tilting his head in confusion as he didn’t quite get what I meant.

“We create new moments, together. We create new moments together, Rob. I love you, and you love me, and that’s all that should matter. Not some silly song that I wrote in a moment of weakness.”

All of a sudden, Rob cut me off, bringing his hand to my cheek and pulling me into a kiss.

“It’s not weakness, for what it’s worth that was the most beautiful song I have ever heard.”

“God, I love you, Rob.”

“I love you too.”

Moments- (Rob Benedict x Reader) PART 2

Summary: An actress on Supernatural, you and Rob are in a relationship, and recently you had revealed to him that you had been sexually assaulted in the past; and it was why you were so afraid to be intimate. But as a songwriter, another secret gets let out.

Pairing: Rob Benedict x Reader

Word Count: 578

A/N: This chapter is sort of a flashback, it’s the conversation Rob and the reader had. He’s remembering it as he’s listening to the song. Italics are the song lyrics. All rights to the song go to its rightful owners

Shut the door Turn the light off I wanna be with you I wanna feel your love I wanna lay beside you I cannot hide this Even though I try

“Y/N, please come out of the bathroom. We’re alright, I promise. But we need to talk about this.” said Rob carefully as he stood leaning against the bathroom door. He didn’t get it, the farthest the two of you had gotten right then was him with his shirt off, but you still took off running.

You could hear your heart beating in your ears, the fear evident as you opened the door slowly with your trembling hands.

Heart beats harder Time escapes me Trembling hands Touch skin It makes this harder And the tears stream down my face

Rob took no time to wrap you in his arms; he had put his shirt back on at some point already. Eventually the two of you made it back to the bed.

“I was 22, and I, and I missed my ride home after the late shift at a restaurant one night.” you said, trying to compose yourself. Rob sat across from you, quiet and attentive. He knew better than to interrupt you or else you would never make it through this conversation.

“God if I, if I could turn back time I would have never even had left work that day.” You closed your eyes as you tried to push away the flash backs.

If we could only have this life For one more day If we could only turn back time

You sat still as you told Rob everything; from the attack, from the stay in the hospital… to your stay in the psychiatric hospital.

“I love you so much Rob, and I want to be with you, like, like this. I swear to you. It just hurts so much; it just hurts so much because Everytime we get close all I can see is him. It feels like I’m screaming and no one can hear me.”

Hands are silent Voice is numb Try to scream out my lungs It makes this harder And the tears stream down my face.

“I guess I’m just looking for that thing to let me start over.” You felt ashamed, even though you know you shouldn’t. Here you were sitting in front of the man you loved, yet you still felt so alone.

“Then let me be it.” said Rob. You tilted you head in confusion, not really sure where he was getting at.

“Let me be your reason to be, Y/N. Let me be your voice when you can’t stop screaming. I love you, Y/N. Let me help you get through this, together.” Before he could continue, you cut him off with a kiss. Breaking apart, something was different between the two of you and both of you knew it.

“Are you sure? You know I’m perfectly content with just being with you for the rest of our lives. Nothing needs to happen.”

“That’s what makes me so sure.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rob clicked the phone off as the song completed. There was one line from that song that he just couldn’t wrap his mind around.

You know I’ll be Your life Your voice Your reason to be My love My heart Is breathing for this Moment In time I’ll find the words to say Before you leave me today

There were some things that the two of you needed to talk about.
