Loonatics Unleashed was a special show for me when I was younger and now is super nostalgic to me. I’m sure that if the show aired now, it would have been a hit. Of course with some script changes here and there.

ngl Optimatus was pretty underwhelming as a villain- they were trying so hard to make him appear as the this terrifying, unstoppable force, but it fell flat through out the whole finale.
Like, you could see why the villains were terrified of him, but he couldn't invoke any sense of dread for our heroes. At no point did I find myself being worried about what he would do to the loonatics or Zadavia (who was also severely under utilized but that's for another post); his threat held no weight.
The only time is he brought anything to the table was his banter with Danger (who was an absolute DELIGHT) and that was for less than a minute.
