We do not choose the LORD... the LORD chooses US!
Before, all I know about my purpose is to achieve my ambitions, make a history so nobody will ever forget me, build my own home and family, get old, and die. Until I found out that my top priority is not to aspire only material and visible things but to dream of going back to God and bringing Him people who were once lost. All my ways will just lead to the dead end. But God’s way is eternal for His love endures forever.
The Bible tells us that faith without works is dead. If we don’t put our faith into action, it’s not really faith; it’s just nice ideas. You see, when God truly does a work in our lives, it affects everything about us. It affects our words, our thoughts and our actions.
Anyone who is intimate with God will never be intimidated by men.
Live a life worthy of the calling you have received. -Ephesians 4:1
"Don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. If you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it." James 1:22-25
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. (NLT) -1 John 2:15-16
The world can be a very attractive place. As Christians we need to avoid the things that are of this world. Why? Because loving the world produces bad fruit: pride, greed, entitlement, discontentment and so forth. What things that exist in your life prevent you from having the love of the Father in you?
John 15:15: "I do not call you servants anymore. Servants do not know their master's business. Instead, I have called you friends. I have told you everything I learned from my Father."
Choosing to follow God will impart wisdom to you through your relationship with Him. Stay tuned into God's word by reading the Bible. When you find yourself drifting away make an effort to stay connected. Make it a priority and do whatever it takes.
Your identity rests as a child of God. Remember the raven, who is far less cherished, but to whom God is still faithful.
Ever wonder if someone is a Christian? Take a look at their life. Do they express joy? Do they show love towards everyone? Do they display uncommon gentleness? The above qualities are inherent to the Holy Spirit.
If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it. (NLT) -Matthew 10:39
If you're a believer, you know that non-believers surround us all the time. Instead of being influenced by others to do ungodly things, be a light to others by demonstrating godly behavior.
As Christians, we are called to go above and beyond the task at hand, and to go the extra mile to demonstrate the love we have for others.
It's easy to pick up habits from others, even if we don't notice it. When the people we surround ourselves with are quick-tempered or hot-headed, we may begin to view their behavior as an effective way to get service or attention. But remember, these habits aren't effective at becoming Christlike.
