where to now?

headcanon: so this is gonna be a three series about sam/bucky/steve and this is how they got together

so after all the hydra bullshit and steve dropping the shield for bucky, steve tells bucky he can move with him in apartment in brooklyn. bucky is hesitant at first, because he ‘isn’t that guy steve, the guy that feel off the train i’m not fully him’ and then steve is like ‘that’s okay buck a different guy came out of the ice, i understand’. so at first bucky only spends like 2 days of the week with steve in their (steve’s) apartment steve has no idea where he gets off to, but on the days that bucky isn’t there sam comes over. because sam still hates bucky for trying to kill him… on multiple occasions- steve doesn’t like it but he understands. and so they are watching some late night tv (well steve is sam fell asleep hours ago after having one too many beers) and it came up about how being gay is an illness, and that made steve pause cause he was like well if the serum fixed all my illness why do i still want to kiss sam…. and bucky. which hit him like a ton of bricks cause he had been so focused on saving the world that he hadn’t even thought about emotions, especially this type. and then at like 3am bucky comes home (thru the window) and sees sam’s head in steve’s lap on the couch. at first he furrows his brow and then makes his way into the living room. being the blunt asshole bucky he is simply asks ‘when did you two start dating?’ steve was taken back because his voice almost sounded hurt. he shock his head and whispered ‘we aren’t together buck’. to which bucky took the leap of faith -because steve hadn’t said i’m straight thats why- and leaned down and their lips meet. sam woke to the slight moan that bucky was about to drag out of steve. sam looked up and cleared his throat with a ‘now thats a nice way to wake up.’ steve opened his mouth to apologize, he was already blushing down to his hips, but sam just shut him up with his own lips, because if ex psycho assassin barnes can kiss steve then that sure as hell means sam can too. the kiss with sam was softer than with bucky and steve couldn’t help but to love both. once they pulled away steve blinked at bucky and at sam, but sam just yawned and noted that it was 3 in the morning. ‘well im going to sleep we can discuss what just happened in the morning’ he grabbed steve’s hand and led him to his bedroom so they could sleep in the bed. bucky hadn’t moved from the side of the couch, not knowing if he was invited. steve tugged at sam’s hand gently, because apparently now sam was in charge which he rolled his eyes at but he invited bucky to bed with them, the fell asleep with bucky facing the door, and steve spooning him and sam spooning steve, they were real close because even though Steve had a king bed, there were three of them. sam made a mental note they’d need to get a new bed before falling asleep.
