If you’ve fallen back onto unhealthy coping mechanisms after not using them for awhile, I want you to know that it’s okay. You can move on from them again. You deserve your own compassion and understanding. Be patient with yourself. You can do this.
I hope you heal from that thing you didn’t think was a big deal but slowly impacted your life significantly.
2024 is about letting people care about and for you. it’s about answering ‘how are you’ with honesty, asking for space when needed, accepting help and being open to advice, listening to concerns and having difficult conversations. it’s about trying your very best to let go of the feeling that you’re completely alone, and finding ways to prove to yourself that you aren’t.

The left only had 5 days to form an alliance and the far-right was basically celebrating their majority of seats in advance. sounds silly but. one of the greatest things ever as someone with a trauma background is learning that things aren't inherently as bad or as scary as I thought. it IS possible to assemble Ikea furniture without arguments. is IS possible to discuss boundaries without having something thrown at me for speaking out of turn. it IS possible to spend hours on end sharing your favourite things with your favourite people, and not get called annoying for it. the world is an incredible place
