something i love about the end of conduit: scully listening to mulder's regression tapes as mulder is sobbing in a church. she listened to him & observed him the entire episode. now, she takes the time to learn about his experience. scully is with him. mulder doesn't really know that yet, they don't know they're both sitting in his grief at the same time. mulder in a place of worship, a place scully feels more at home than he ever will. scully in the office, mulder's true home. (before they truly become each other's home)
scully stopped him digging up the grave he found in the woods, the next time she helps him dig.
scully chose mulder in squeeze. mulder opened up to her again in this episode. and after this, she never tells him to stop looking for samantha, until sein und zeit/closure. she stays with him in his grief until he's ready to face the truth. like he does for her with her abduction & her cancer. with emily.
mulder never gives up on people, and scully always follows him.
