The thing about Kenpachi is that he’s tough and does what he’s told unless the gain of disobeying is too high.

Sure he doesn’t obey in the most straightforward, conventional way every time but he’s an operating Captain of the Gotei 13 because he meets the minimum bar of ‘do what the fuck I tell you to’.

So, sub!Kenpachi is just kind of a natural progression of that. He likes the weight of violence. He likes the chase of winning and losing. And until the gain of disobeying is too high, he does what you tell him to.

Sturdy enough to take punishment, sure. But he also enjoys it. It’s the reward too. If you can get past his shield of reiatsu to enact a lasting, bleeding hit then he’ll do whatever you want for another one.

Also imagine him getting so fed up with your teasing—barely there hickies with not enough biting, a scratch that didn’t even break skin across his hip, choking yourself instead of him while you get yourself off—that he grabs you and DEMANDS you just do anything to him, for fuck’s sake. And he’s so willing to beg if you’ll just leave bruises when you choke him or bring the knife back into the bedroom already.

Like local man begging for you to treat him like a practice dummy only breaking protocol when you refuse to use him for his intended purpose is what I’m getting at.
