Hold on I'm obsessed with Amy's tarot cards

Two years later and I now have Amy's fortune card deck for myself!!

(I don't have a scanner so apologies for the quality)

These are all major arcana cards, and the book that comes with this deck actually directly parallels them to traditional tarot cards:

Her first reading was Time, Travel and Doom. Assuming she's using the classic three card spread, that would place them in the positions of past, present and future: "you have made changes recently, you're currently on a new adventure, there will be major and disruptive changes in the near future." She then changes the Doom card and instead pulls the Hero. She probably takes a literal reading of that card to mean a hero will rescue her, but it more likely is talking about her own courage and inner strength.

Her second reading was Companions, Skyborne Aspirations and Master. Again in the three card spread: "your optimism has drawn new friends to you, you trust your intuition, everything will fall into place."

Take my interpretations with a pinch of salt, the second one especially. My personal tarot book (the Linestrider's Journey) actually specifies that drawing the High Priestess with the Magician indicates there is "profound power in the unseen realm which you can use to reach your goals" which honestly doesn't make much sense irl but does kinda fit the sonic universe LOL

Also, I do think they fucked up with the Doom/Tower card. I don't think the designs of the cards in the origins animation held much meaning, and they probably just wanted a scary looking card and picked Death - not realising that Death isn't a particularly bad card at all. They've clearly gone back and picked cards that work with the plot of Sonic CD, but keeping the designs consistent has led to that card just not working. The Tower should not have a ghost with a scythe skfhdhd
