I know y’all really liked my Metal Sonic AU (Flesh and Blood), so I thought I might bring up another idea I’ve had for a while. This time based off of the movies.
There isn’t really a big twist in this one, but I’ll put a spacer for spoilers anyway.
New idea! I ain’t spoiling this one bc there’s nothing to spoil.
Before I knew what the plot of Sonic Unleashed was, I saw that he was like Super Sonic or something and then got turned into a werehog. So I thought the chaos emeralds had something to do with it. I still don’t know much about Sonic Unleashed’s plot, but I know it has something to do with Dark Gaia I think???
Anyway, I thought my initial idea was cooler.
What if, because of their great power, the chaos emeralds (and Master Emerald) have to be wielded with extreme care? Like, if you lose focus, the energy doesn’t flow right and it fucks you up.
It affects different Mobians differently. For hedgehogs, they become were-hogs. And maybe the moon affects it because of moon energy???
Like, what if the emeralds’ power are tied to celestial bodies, and the full moon just makes the residual chaos energy flare up inside failed emerald users?
