I think it can be easy to overlook in the midst of all the other stuff Snyder tackles in his movies, but I love the way he writes romantic relationships.

Kora seeing kindness as a virtue worth dying for, and Gunnar being shown to be kind above all.

Kora resisting a deeper relationship with Den - who is described with attributes the villagers admire such as the best hunter and a loyal friend. Gunnar is shown to be just a simple farmer, trusting and honest to a fault, but it is him she wants is drawn to.

Kora believes she is incapable of loving and being loved. But it’s Gunnar’s love for Kora that saves her in the end.

On the third anniversary of the inauguration of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, ICTV hosts Vadym Karpyak and Olena Frolyak interviewed the head of state and First Lady Olena Zelenska. For the first time since the start of a full-scale war.

These two interviewed them since they did the interview three years ago.

I've already seen posts criticising simping for president Zelensky but I need to say something as well.

No one can forbid you from finding him attractive/appealing, obviously. But fucking hell, if you're gonna record tiktoks about him being hot, just shut up.

Admire his courage. Appreciate the way he speaks, the way he reaches out to the world, his patience in explaining how wrong some people are in the way of perceiving his country. Be impressed by his bravery, his will, his drive. He's an amazing human being not because he is some king of fucking 'blorbo' for you to simp for, but because he's shown how unbreakable he is and that he's ready to stand for his people no matter what. This is a man fighting for his people, his country's independence after uprovoked invasion. He's facing literal war crimes commited on his people, the same people he's shown he's ready to risk his life for.

If the only thing you find appealing in him are his looks then I don't know what to fucking tell you.
