So I’ve been out of it for...a while (too long), and I didn’t have a book/candle giveaway in December or January (and February is nearly over). But I want to get “back in the saddle” and in an effort to make up for the absence, I’m offering a TWO-BOOK giveaway: 

“A Princess in Theory” & “Once Ghosted, Twice Shy” by Alyssa Cole.

Both books are a part of Cole’s contemporary “Reluctant Royals” series, and are companions to one another. Included with the books is a candle, as well as a little “mystery” gift.

I hope you are well. I hope you and your loved ones are doing alright. I hope things are better for you, and if not, I hope that they will be very soon. I am doing alright, and have been keeping busy due to work, which I am grateful for, though I have missed you. I hope we can reconnect, and I am sorry (very sorry) for my absence, and for missing your messages. I am thankful for them, please know that, and I will try to be much better.

”BELL, BOOK, & CANDLE” MONTHLY GIVEAWAY

Here is my November giveaway!

If you’re still looking for something ghostly and gothic with a dash of romance, then you’ll enjoy “The Widow of Rose House” by Diana Biller. Get into the true gothic spirit and read by the candlelight as the scent of cranberry and cinnamon bark wafts overhead.

And as mentioned before, each package includes book, candle, and a little something extra (the “bell” part of the giveaway)

This giveaway is limited to North America; hopefully as the year goes on I can extend it to more places.

if you voted by mail-in ballot in PA, MI, WI, NV, NC, and GA:

you can check the status of your ballot online by entering the information associated with your voter registration to check if your ballot was accepted. 

pennsylvania voters: check the status of your ballot here

michigan voters: check the status of your ballot here

wisconsin voters: check the status of your ballot here

nevada voters: check the status of your ballot here

north carolina voters: check the status of your ballot here

georgia voters: check the status (how to) of your ballot here

it is vital to the success of this election that you check to see if your vote was accepted, and especially important since it has come down to these six states. please take a few seconds to follow up to make sure your vote was counted! 

every state will look different, but for example:

this is what it will say on pennsylvania’s ballot status site if your vote has been recorded. if the site does not indicate that your vote has been recorded, please consider following up with a phone call to your county election office or whoever your state dedicates to these issues. if not, keep checking periodically throughout the week to make sure your vote was recorded. 

this is so important. there is a lot at stake here. so many people are vulnerable. we need to make sure every. single. vote. is counted to ensure a fair election. your vote matters! please don’t let it stop at just casting the vote, make sure it’s been recorded.

They just called Michigan for Biden!

He got Wisconsin this morning, as well as Arizona.

Still waiting on Nevada, could see results for it by tomorrow morning.

Trump presently leads in Georgia, but just barely, they’re still counting ballots in the Atlanta area.

Pennsylvania may not have results until Friday, but the race is tightening more and more (in Biden’s favor).

North Carolina still hasn’t been called, but again, the race is tightening there too (also in Biden’s favor)

...and to top it all off, more than 300,000 ballots have gone “missing”, including ballots from Miami-Dade County in Florida. A federal judge has issued an order to DeJoy to produce those ballots. 

HANG IN THERE, PEEPS!

Delaware has just elected their first-ever openly trans State Senator, Sarah McBride.

Missouri just elected their first-ever black woman to serve as Congresswoman, Cori Bush.

And Minnesota just re-elected Ilhan Omar, the first naturalized citizen of African birth and the first woman of color to represent Minnesota in Congress.

I keep telling myself over and over that so many states are counting mail-in ballots tomorrow, after all the in-person-day-of voting has finished. And I keep reminding myself about the whole “Red Mirage” phenomena that various political science professors have talked about.

Ugh, but this is giving me terrible flashbacks to four years ago. So I think for the sake of my own mental/emotional health, I’m going to have to turn the TV off and step away from the internet. 

#serioulsy I don't get it#why in the midst of terrible pandemic#which this man has done so little#are people voting for him?#not to mention the over 500 children#who have lost their parents#and the fact#that he supports nazis#fuck trump
