Kakashi’s eyes widened, as the world suddenly seemed to stand still.

“Y/N!” your name left his mouth, as his hands caught you, preventing you from falling to your knees. “What have you done?”

Sometimes he would stop in front of your door. You would hear him shuffling in front of it, before walking to his own apartment, closing the door behind him.

And it was quiet again.

But, tonight, you had enough.

The steady sound of the clock at the wall opposite your bed was the only noise at this time at night.

You lay awake in bed, waiting for him to come over - to come to you.

When he came back from exhausting and back breaking missions he tended to come to you, lying in bed with you in silence.

When the world around him screamed and tore at him you were his safe place. Tucked under your covers, inhaling your sweet scent he was finally able to relax. He could finally let go of everything that was piled up on his shoulders.

The soft clicking of the lock on the door to your apartment disturbed the steady ticking of the clock. You sat up, switched on the light and ruffled up the covers so they were fluffier. Everything to make him the most comfortable.

When I say "I'm tired" I mean "I'm tired but I'm willing to spend 6 more hours on tumblr just scrolling and obsessing over fictional characters."
