Did you know St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney is dedicated to 'Mary Help of Christians' and has the formal name of 'Cathedral Church and Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Mother of God, Help of Christians'? ⛪
Mary, under the title 'Mary Help of Christians' is also the Patroness of Australia.
With this in mind, we pray... Almighty God, deepen in our hearts our love of Mary Help of Christians. Through her prayers and under her protection, may the light of Christ shine over our land. May Australia be granted harmony, justice and peace. Grant wisdom to our leaders and integrity to our citizens. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Mary Help of Christians, pray for us. 🙏
The words from this beautiful 18th century hymn still resonate with us 🙏
