Nice things I noticed in Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 196

I can’t believe I didn’t realise it before now but I really want to see Nezuko playing and interacting with the other Butterfly Estate girls. Before now, I kinda just assumed that Nezuko never interacted with them because she’d be in her box during the day and when night came the girls would all be asleep; plus, I also assumed that the first time she met them was after the Swordsmith Village arc when she could walk in the sun again. In Chapter 125, Tanjirou said she was playing with Aoi, Sumi, Kiyo and Naho but we don’t even get to see it.

If they do add filler in later seasons of the anime, I hope it will be of Nezuko first meeting and playing with the Butterfly Estate girls, and seeing them as her younger sisters from her hypnosis.

Also, the Volume 6 Extras revealed that Shinobu keeps a goldfish bowl in her room and that, during the Kamaboko Squad’s first stay at the Butterfly Estate after the Natagumo Mountain arc, Zenitsu took it without permission to show Nezuko, which she loved as you can tell by the tiny hearts.

In Chapter 195, it’s revealed that Nezuko went into Shinobu’s room (I strongly believe because she wanted to see the goldfish after Zenitsu showed her) leading to this sweet interaction between Nezuko and Shinobu.

This was a treat for me as we never see Shinobu interact with Nezuko before (aside from when Shinobu nearly killed her in the Natagumo Mountain arc), and I kinda assumed that Shinobu may have actually avoided Nezuko because of her very seething hatred for demons but here we see Shinobu treated Nezuko nicely.

In the newest chapter we got a beautiful moment of Nezuko remembering zenitsu gave her flowers. Which means this scene actually happened:
