the dirt bike race is bc mike’s dad is holding someone hostage until mike rejoins the gang again???
the dirt bike race is super extensive and they have to like free ride through a fucking muddy forest or smth and brittany had to prepare everyone before the race on how to handle a dirt bike to go over obstacles and stuff
like they spend a good week preparing for the race up in the mountains or cabin or something with brittany leading the lessons
OH and then during the dirt bike race, someone takes a spill and they take the time to help them or something like that

one of the details in the fic is that santana used to race but she got in this terrible accident so she doesn’t race anymore and she hasn’t been able to go to any of puck’s races
anywho she decides to go to puck’s race that night but she ends up having a panic attack and this is when brittany finds out about santana’s accident and she takes care of her and i have a very vivid recollection of either mike or puck carrying santana to the backseat of the car as she’s having her panic attack
OH and mike’s dad wants puck and santana to race for him for money as they’re the best racers in town but they won’t give in and that’s what causes mike’s dad to take one of their friends hostage and then they race for puck and santana’s freedom??? bc if they lose they have to join mike’s dad’s gang
