Dad: Why do you think they do that? Girl: Because the companies who make these try to trick the girls into buying the pink stuff instead of stuff boys want to buy. [x]
that awkward moment when a child understands the harm of forcing gender roles better than most grown male politicians.
Always reblog.
I’m surprised that I haven’t reblogged this, to be honest.
I love that last gif. She looks so frustrated. Like “Um, hello, obviously girls and boys can like anything why doesn’t anybody get that???”
At what age can this girl start her campaign for president?
“I think at this point in our world, we’ve got a really confused idea of the way gender and sexuality works. I think we’ve created this really superfluous sort of like binary in the way we think about gender. And I guess I identify as queer because I don’t identify with that. I think that makes us less whole as people. I don’t need to be assigned to what it is I can do or who I can love. And it seems like we keep drawing these battle lines which are completely unnecessary. So that’s what I basically mean. When I say I’m queer, I’m saying that I think human beings are amazing. And love is an honor and an opportunity. And a fragile thing. A fragile process in which there’s no room for doubt, or shame, or hatred.” — Ezra Miller

I’m gonna show you what a girl typically working out would look like versus what you want me to look like (x)
I believe that labeling thing is getting out of hand. I am not gay or straight or bi or asexual or pansromantic. I am human and I will fall in love with whoever I happen to fall in love with. To say that I'm gay or pansexual or bisexual because of this an unnecessary case of labeling. In this prudish nation under God by whom we have all have been created equal, sex is something kept quiet by those who don't like being slandered for promiscuity. So, why do I need to label myself heterosexual and let the whole world know how much I love a good dick? Because isn't that the biggest difference we're talking about here? The sex organs? The biggest differences between sexes are their physical bodies. The mind/soul/whathaveyou hardly comes into play here. The physical body is typically the cause of the type of attraction we're talking about. The body, used for sex acts. So, why so much emphasis on the bodies, why so much emphasis on the act of sex? Why should I label myself as committed to one type of body over another? And how could the sex really matter THAT much were I in love? Why should I care who prefers what type of body? It's just such a trivial preference that's been so overblown. I am human and I want to be loved. The sex doesn't matter like the love does. No one identifies with their favorite sex position or their preference in partner's hair color, so why do we feel the need to identify with our preference in other people's sex organs? People don't walk around declaring that they are blonde-sexuals. Anal-sexuals aren't fighting for the right to marry. Protesters don't rally against the doggie-style-sexual lifestyle. And yet these are all just different sexual preferences. Love is love, why do the details have to matter so much?
