I’m late as usual to the party, but here’s my swing for D4 Day!

While I don’t post a lot about it, Dragon Age has been a cornerstone of my life for the past 7-8 years, give or take. It’s helped to strengthen the relationship that I have with my family; Decima, Morta, and Artemis, but all three of them will be able to express that more eloquently, haha!  

Dorothea is a character that I made in the early stages of Dragon age, way way WAY back in high school when I was first getting into it, and is the source of my name on the Blog. She’s not the inquisitor, but more of a fun side character that I’ve been working on for a while now, but never really posted about, lol. It’s been kind of a trip to see how much she’s changed over the years, but with how much I’VE changed, it doesn’t surprise me all that much, haha. I look forward to seeing how much Dorothy can change, and also how much I can as well! I look forward to being more active in this awesome community!

Chibis of the Inquisition!

Oh!  We never posted these!  How did that happen?  

Here is the start of our Inquisition chibi set.  Again, these are speed drawings, each taking between 5-15 minutes from start to finish and we basically made them to make our own own Clue type DA game.  (Now we are thinking of doing a Hogwarts Battle style game, just for kicks and giggles.)  In the mean time, we will simply use them to continue our crack pairing madness.  See for yourselves beneath the cut:

Cole: Forget-Me-Not

I am Dorothea Adaar, one of the Wyrd Sisters resident artists, and I like to post silly au's, silly doodles, and silly theories!  Most of my non-Dragon Age work (and random posts) are at my regular tumblr @the-duke-of-kansas

I drew this while listening to Asunder on Christmas Eve, and I liked it enough to finish it. I used my prismacolor pencils, black pens, and copic markers. (I haven't drawn my fav nearly as much as I should, and this is to help redeem myself).

All This Shit is Wyrd - FanArt Friday Edition

So... as we mentioned in previous posts, we sometimes play a little game with our mini character cards, where we randomly pick 2 cards and have to draw that “ship”. So before we get to the Inquisition cards, we thought we’d share some of our earlier “work”.  We only have about 5 minutes per drawing, so these are fairly quick sketches for each. 

The luck of the draw forces us to think creatively about unconventional ships (We have since take Ser Pounce and Charlie the Mabari out of the deck whilst playing).

Our DA2 offerings that were originally featured (humble brag) on David Gaider’s late tumblr (we were very excited). This was the first group drawn, though some have been added in the intervening months/years.

We are missing a few of the core members of the Dragon Age menagerie of companions. Those will be presented in future posts (Aka, when ever we get them done. Aka, unlike Westeros, Summer is Coming!)

This endeavor started off innocently enough. A New Year’s Eve lark where we thought we’d make a Dragon Age version of Clue. What was actually created was an unholy union of crack pairings and art. How we play is we each pick 2 cards face down and then have to draw the pairing. 

Some of the pairings are cute, or perhaps a bit odd.  Some, however, are just wrong (Cole and Corypheus anyone?). 

Feel free to try it sometime, though a warning to you all, you might need a shower afterward. ;-)  

After adding the Awakenings and DA2 crews (maybe Inquisition), we will present some of our “work”. (Some of the art may be borderline NSFW)
