For father’s day, my friend’s wife reached out to see if i could rebind a copy of The Hobbit so he could have a special copy to read to their daughter. It did hurt to tear up such an already beautiful copy but i hope the ends justified the means!

So I’ll be the first to admit this is a weird one. I wanted to experiment with combining separate books into one large omnibus. The Wicked Years Series (which was the inspiration for the musical Wicked) is so full of weird things I figured it would be fitting to combine them into one thicc volume. It’s now up for sale in my shop at the link in my bio.
All four Wicked Years books (Wicked, Son of a Witch, A Lion Among Men, Out of Oz) were bound together in black hand dyed sienna leather with green foiled page edges and green vinyl tooling. Normally I would have charged more for this thicc boy but the green foil page edging is a little splotchy in some parts because it was impossible to press the pages tight enough for the edging process.
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley rebound from paperback to hardcover with black hand-dyed sienna leather, silver foiled pages, and purple and silver vinyl tooling.
Good Omens is back in stock! This time I have 3 copies in stock and the first two lucky purchasers will also get the original Aziraphale paperback cover since it’s rather rare as I’m told. Hello! I saw one of your videos yesterday (the Golden Compass one) and it inspired me to try it for myself. I’m pretty proud of myself as it’s my first attempt at rebinding a book. My only problem is that I don’t have any idea on how I’ll decorate the cover. I have gold foil and glue, and I’m pretty good at Lino cuts but I don’t have anything fancy. Any tips?
Anyway, here are some pictures. I’m going to add endpapers to make it look less crap.

Hey! That looks really great for your first go of it! For the decoration on the covers and spine I use Adobe Illustrator to design them and then I use a Cricut to cut it out of gold Siser heat transfer vinyl. Then I use a heat press to apply it to the cover. (Though a home iron on the wool setting works as well, rub it for 15 seconds ish and see if it’s adhered.) the iron will dry out the leather and cause the boards to warp so just wet the leather and gently flatten the boards and press it under something heavy for a few hours. Hope that helps!

His Dark Materials series all rebound. All three books were purchased second hand and rebound in hand-dyed blue leather with gold foiled pages and gold embossing. The Golden Compass book is even signed by Philip Pullman himself!
His Dark Materials omnibus. Originally paperback, I’ve rebound it with the hardcover treatment it deserves. This book is all three of the His Dark Materials series books in one. I designed the cover to be reminiscent of the title intro of the tv show Adaptation of the series where it shows all of the worlds sandwiched on top of each other.
