Inspired by the Live Action One Piece Iteration of Dracule Mihawk. After all, how can one look at this man and not swoon.

The Annual Moon Festival was well underway. Along the main street, on both sides, were a plethora of booths. Some sold moon cakes and other morsels. Others were selling lanterns for those who didn't have time to make one or for those who just wished to have one made. These lanterns were slated to be set out on the waters at the height of the festivities that evening, in the hopes they would bring prosperity in the future.
Though most of the village had closed up shop, some, like the local taverns, were still open. All of them were full of customers wanting something a bit stronger to drink or something more hearty to eat. Some, like yourself, were just patiently waiting for an order you placed with the tavern keeper. An order you placed for a more private celebration to go along with a few festival treats you had bought.
Upon getting your order, which consisted of a basket of food and a few bottles of red wine, you took the basket and walked back out onto the main street. Much as before, it was way too crowded for your liking and much too loud. You held the basket close and maneuvered your way through, being as careful as you could to not drop it.
Just as you were to the end of the street, you passed by another booth that was selling lanterns. The vendor called out to you asking if you were in need of a few. You paused for a moment. A part of you felt silly for even thinking about it.After all, what pirate would partake of such things. But, you handed him the money for two of them and went on your way, hoping he wouldn't mind.
Away from the crowds, your mind wandered to a much more pleasant thought: your lover, who was waiting for you back on the ship. When you left him, he was napping. You often joked that he napped more than a cat.
Your lover was certainly a handsome sort. Handsome and deadly, more so than most. Most kept their distance from him, but not you. As a fearsome pirate in your own right, you were not intimidated by him in the slightest. Few things were sexier than a man who could wield a blade like he did.
As you got back to the dock, which was full of ships of all sizes, you walked over to one that looked tiny in comparison. If it wasn't for the mast in the shape of an ornate cross and the candles, it would have been mistaken for just another ship belonging to a villager. Just below the mast was an area designed for someone to sit. Someone was sitting there, or more like, asleep there.
As quietly as you could, you stepped back on board the boat. Your lover, with his black hat with white feathered plume covering his face, his arms crossed over his chest, didn't budge. His sword remained at his side, as it always did.
After setting down the basket, you carefully placed the lanterns down off to the side and covered them with your cloak. You crept up to your lover. Ever so gently you lifted his hat off of his face. He didn't budge.
You couldn't help but bask in his handsome face, with his neatly trimmed beard and mustache, one he trusted no one but himself to maintain. Leaning down, you couldn't resist going in for a very small kiss. You were less than an inch away when suddenly, he opened his hawk-like eyes.
"Hello, Milady. " He intoned gently in that deep, hypnotic voice of his. "Back already?"
