HOL UP! Vivzie said that Alastor as a serial killer was like dexter. According to people who watched the show, dexter was a vigilante serial killer. Went after those he felt deserved to die. Those who had done wrong, hurt others, used their power against the weak!!! WHICH EXPLAINS WHY HE SAVED THAT LAMB SINNER AND DIDNT ASK FOR ANYTHING IN RETURN! Because he felt the pig sinner deserved it because the pig was taking advantage of the weak! And maybe that’s why he made the deal to get his powers. Cause it’s hell. There’s a lot of people who are taking advantage of others like the overlords!! But now he wants out because it’s been almost a hundred years of him doing this shit but he can’t. So he goes to make a good impression on Charlie to get him out of the deal! I don’t think he is as evil as he or others think of him. Don’t get me wrong, he isn’t a good guy. Hell no. He has done wrong, he has a superiority complex, and he has narcissistic tendencies. But I still don’t think he is pure evil.

HAZBIN THEORY AND I THINK IM RIGHT!

Eve is pretending to be Lilith. I’m going to go right out and put that there. That is my theory. But here is evidence to support it.

So the hazbin trading cards has cards of all of our favorite characters. And some of them had spoilers such as the new hotel look, razzle and dazzle dragon form and above all. Lilith.

The show has made it clear they don’t want to sow her face. Anytime she’s on screen her face is hidden away from the gaze of the viewer. Either blacked out like above or wearing sunglasses like in heaven. But why is that? We’ve seen Lilith already before in paintings in the hotel and in Lucifer’s room.

We know exactly what she looks like. But take a look between the Lilith card and the picture of Eve from the story of hell opening.

They have the same smile. The same thin lined smile. Also the card has a finger over her mouth telling someone to keep quiet about this. More evidence (and I couldn’t get a proper screenshot on prime mobile just the captions) is when Lute confronts her on the beach about Adams death. She tells her that if she wants to stay in heaven she has to go down and stop Charlie. She says do you understand me. Then she pauses and this is how the caption is.

It’s a question. Not a statement. Lute knows this isn’t the real Lilith which would explain why she has a deal about Adams death. No one likes the guy. He’s a dick.

So what does this mean about Alastor? I still think Alastor is tried to the real Lilith. 7 years ago, when both of them went missing, he was listening to his master and protecting her from the invasion to cease her singing that was empowering the demons. She commands him to protect her, resulting in most of hell thinking that Alastor died to holy arms. As zestial says. So both he and the real Lilith were captured. But now Eve has him cursed to where he can’t talk about the switch. Hence the stitches on his mouth when he makes the deal with Charlie.

(It’s grainy and I apologize)

He physically isn’t able to talk about something that is forcing him to keep up the show to hide the truth. This explains his curious line in the final song.

He is trying to unclip his wings from Eve. Not from Lilith. And once he can do that then he won’t be someone’s (at least someone who is fake) puppet anymore.

Again this is all a theory but I do believe I am right on the money. Let me know what you guys think!

do y'all think byakuya togami ever just says "fuck it" and wears sweatpants

Do I think the man who went to the furthest extent to mess with a crime scene, does everything above and beyond anyway he can, went in guns blazing to save Komaru Naegi (IN FULL SUIT) as well as save Makoto, Hina, and Kyoko in the second killing game guns blazing (again IN FULL SUIT), would probably rather be caught dead than in sweat peats. But I do like the image of lounging Byakuya on a winters day reading a book in sweats and a hoodie.

Some people argued with me saying that Byakuya isn't underrated but instead the opposite? But I personally don't see that. I don't really see him being appreciated or even discussed that much in the fandom. He's not COMPLETELY underrated, but he's definitely not overrated either. He's not even in the top 10 popular Danganronpa characters. I don't know -- what do you guys think?

Bro compared to the other antags he is the least talked about and it hurts since he’s such a complex character

I have complicated feelings about Hiyoko. Because. Like.

Okay as the target demographic since I love Byakuya and hate hiyoko, I would like to bring up some points.

Hiyoko berating Mikan is indeed worse because Mikan hasn’t done anything to deserve the hate. Mikan has only ever helped when possible while Toko actively stalked Byakuya. Even to the point where she knows his underwear because she snooped in his laundry. Mikan never did anything like that. I think it also should be mentioned that hiyoko’s treatment to Mikan is much more childish. Calling her fat pig and other immature names. While Byakuya (if memory serves) only belittled Toko about her smell cause the bitch don’t bathe.

Now as far as the crime scene tampering. While I don’t condone what Byakuya did, he didn’t do it for shits and giggles. He didn’t it to see who would be the most dangerous to him if he ever tried to kill someone to win. He purposefully did this, knowing full well mondo was the killer to see how smart Makoto and Kyoko were. Even to the point where in the game, he tells Makoto he knows who to take out now in order to win. Was it wrong? Yes but In terms of playing the game it was s smart play to discern your opponents.

That's not quite correct. When he makes his "Now I know who to watch out for" remark, he's doing it out of bitterness because they outsmarted him and picked out elements of the crime he was unaware of. It's still a sincere sentiment, but it wasn't his goal going in. It's just him expressing how mad he is.

By his own admission, his goal in tampering with the crime scene was to make the crime "more interesting". Throughout the game, Byakuya's just here to have fun. He behaves throughout the game like Bad Take Sherlock Holmes, engaging only in crimes on the basis of how interesting and thought-provoking they are while constantly acting like a condescending, demeaning, and domineering jerk to everyone.

This comes up a lot, such as when he whines in 1-3 about the killer's identity being revealed ruining the game and wanders off, only to suddenly take interest again when Makoto points out a new complication that changes things. He just cares about the sport, and he himself says that he tampered with the crime scene for fun.

That he ultimately gained something by doing it does not change the fact that he was just doing it for lulz.

I believe from context clues that byakuya’s true intentions (besides making things interesting) is to scope out who is his enemy in this game. He was mad, no doubt that they figured out stuff he didn’t. Because he thinks he is the smartest person there, and since there was no voice acting, all we can take is the context clues of lines before and after and also in the anime since it’s a retelling. But his intentions were both. Interesting and for revealing a threat.

While yes he did see it as a game, and acted as such, I do believe another reason why people like Byakuya more than hiyoko is because Byakuya had an amazing character development while hiyoko didn’t. She stayed a brat from start to death. While Byakuya not only grew to trust the others, he started to understand that his words and how it affected others had consequences. I’m not saying he is blameless, by all means no. He has a lot of blame and should be called out for it.

But between chapters 1-3 he is a prick no doubt. But to a lot of people there is something charming about the ego.

Byakuya thinks virtual currency like bitcoin is completely pointless and doesn’t understand why people invest in it. He thinks it’s just a waste of time and money.

But it’s canon that Byakuya actively takes part in the stock market and loves out of place artifacts. The man hundred percent has invested in crypto stuff because it’s the same as stock marketing.

the stock market and crypto are in fact vastly different. the stock market has you buying actual shares and ownership of a company, while crypto itself has no inherent value, it's just based on supply and demand. while they both have risks, stocks are far more reliable and predictable, something togami would be able to analyze and take control of: he states it even became so easy for him that he got bored of it.

crypto on the other hand has very little regulation, it's not backed by anything or even considered legal tender in Japan (clarifying Japan as that's where he'd be). it's essentially a huge scam in which you pay large amounts of money to own well, nothing. where with stocks, you'd own at least a small portion of the company.

crypto has a bad reputation for a good reason, and i think he'd consider it beneath him. seeing as togami is a smart guy, and one who could easily work the stock market, i see absolutely no reason why he would bother with something as pointless and so obviously a scam as crypto.

(this came out longer than i originally intended, but i felt it was very important to point out that stocks and crypto are in fact vastly different. and even if ppl disagree with me on whether or not he would partake in crypto: that's totally fine, i wanted to explain why i personally felt he would avoid it.)

My reply isn’t going to be as long since I’m on mobile lol. I didn’t know that crypto is illegal in Japan, so he certainly wouldn’t do it anyway. Even if he may or may not feel like he is above the law. I only say he might since his fascination with out of place artifacts. Those seems like nothing Togami would never like, yet he actively loves them in THH. And you are absolutely correct, he did get bored of day trading, so why not do something a little more risky since he’s already mastered one formula.
