Well, dear anon, you are right, from what we know IT IS one sided

Canonically is just Retasu to have a crush on Ryou, BUT… same is for Pietasu

It was just anime stuff (amazing anime stuff I dare say) and none of them declared romantic feeling so, for Pie and Retasu is just her trying to speak to him and maybe try to find a way to make peace between them, and him finally listening to her in the end, that’s it.

And don’t get me wrong, I loved that, Pietasu one of the best thing from OG ANIME adaptation and I hope this reboot will bring them back… but if we stop and we think about it, Pietasu has less interaction and romantic stuff than Ryotasu

That is why shipping is not about logic or see how many moments a ship has or if it is one sided, because almost no ship could survive that

The only canon couple that has mutual interests in eachother in Tokyo Mew Mew are ichigo and masaya… and maybe taruto and bu-ling

All the other ships (ichigo and Ryou, Retasu and Ryou, ichigo and Kisshu, pie and Retasu, zakuro and Minto) are one sided or not canonically romantic, so… one sided won’t be a problem for me xD

(BIO) The perfect and best soldier of the anarchic and violent army of Deep Blue and his most loyal servant, it seems that to understand who Pie really is it takes just a quick look at him: his facial features hardened by pain and his eyes almost as cold as his heart.

Behind his unbreakable armor, he hides a soft spot for his almost-brother Quiche and Tart and and for his childhood friend, Retasu: the afternoon in the sunset spent with her, under a bridge, reading and daydreaming of helping their people thanks to the progress, were the only stolen moments when the future seemed brighter and made he believe to have “something to protect”.

But the long distance from his friend, top student and apprentice scientist in Piltover, along with the deterioration of the living condition in the City of Iron and Glass, broke Pie to the point that he fully embraced his leader beliefs, whatever it takes, even if this will mean to become slave of the shimmer, that has poisoned for years the streets and the hearts of the poor people of Zaun.
