✨ (PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENT) I started this fan art about an year ago, before TMMN finale aired, hoping for a scenario like ep. 41 in the old TMM anime for Retasu’s Mew Aqua episode (BTW I still love how that episode was written in the end, her Aqua Rod scene is one of the best). But then I was overbeared with other projects, work, personal struggle and then… TMMN ended and we have no news since then, so I was too sad to continue this fanart, once filled with hope and enthusiasm.

But the other day, a dear fellow Ryoutasu shipper - with whom I shared lots of nice chat and amazing moments - saw my Arcane AU artwork and wips and commissioned me to finish this old drawing of mine straight away.

Since this was not a commission but a personal work I absolute refused to be payed, but she gave me the right motivation to finish this one. As well as ALL OF YOU: the amount of enthusiasm I received from my latest posts and artworks preview (I see you Gurple fans, I LOVE your enthusiasm as well) made me want to jump back in this world once again.

So I wanted to dedicate this artwork not only to this dear friend who supported me but also to all the people who keep support my personal project, a personal project that makes me feel happy to work and motivates me so much!

Some of you kindly asked in my inbox for some fan art of certain ships and/or character of Tokyo Mew Mew and, since I am working on my TMM x Arcane AU in my free time (yeah, battle, ships, lots of scenarios and more) I thought it would be nice to post some previews here on Tumblr where I have the most active and supportive fanbase..

So here some illustrations (that are also an excellent excuse to study and learn some perspective) I am working on: battle scene between the mews and the aliens, an amazing fight scene with Mint and zakuro in the moonlight and some other ships too.

Adopted by one of the ruling house at the age of 3 years old, Masaya Aoyama became soon the prodige kid of Piltover, known by everyone as the perfect demonstration of what a poor child of Zaun - grown up in a wealthier place with access at education - could become. 

Kept in the dark about his humble origin, Masaya grew up as confident and well educated as lonely and full of doubt, knowing - deep down - that something wasn’t right and that his parents kept hiding the truth from him.

First of his class and the younger cadet graduated in the Academy of Piltover Police, Masaya soon joined the Warden and made a name of himself as sheriff, known as the Blue Knight: lethal with criminals but full of kindness for the less fortunate, always keeping an eye on the poor people of Zaun.

It was during one of his patrol in City of Iron and Glass that he met Ichigo, the first person in his life that acted spontaneous around him and treated him like a human being. 

Unfortunately - as soon as he realised he fell in love with her - something dark from his unknown past knocked at his door.

Hey there dear anon... THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I am really so glad you like this AU of mine, as an artist i fell in love with the masterpiece that is Arcane so when I thought at something for a redesign (and after months and months of failed attempts)... this came to my mind and, ghawd, it suits TMM so well.

Science that meets magic, the corruption of science to empower human beings, the fight between the marginalized and the wealthy for a better world and to reclaim a land... not to mention the aesthetic.

So glad you enjoy it, so, in order to thank you and to keep this AU alive, here's some preview-study of Masaya's character, he is coming veeeeery soon

Hello there dear Anon! So sorry fort the late reply, basically i open Tumblr most of the time from the app and I haven't noticed these inbox messages until.. well, now

So, about your question... y'know it is a very interesting take on the epilogue!

Retasu working at the museum about alien civilization both suits her being so open about others, about different cultures and her desire of knowing more and more about the previous earthlings... and both Ryou's parents exactly same goal, but in a more humanistic and less scientific way.

Also it also suits so well her desire to help Ryou as well: her being in love with him will bring her not only to challenge herself and her own limits in order to help him accomplish his mission (the Mew Aqua scene for example) but will also make her discover a whole new world, the alien ones, making researches and studying the once-enemy-now-friend. Her being pen-pal with Pie is also a direct reflection on this and I fin it so cute! I am sure Pietasu shippers has been so happy about this!

But yeah, as a Ryoutasu shipper I like so much your take on her career in the study of ancient alien culture, as I said before I can totally see her and Ryou being the scientific and humanistic side of the same study and I am totally here for her being so supportive in his research and mission, as we've already seen in the anime.

Genius. Scientist. Handsome. Enigmatic. Broken. Orphan. Lonely. 

Ryou Shirogane was only 10 when his childhood and his whole life shattered into pieces: the only son of one of the wealthiest family in Piltover witnessed the death of his parents, side effect of a terrorist attack made by one of the most violent and extremist group in Zaun. His father only guilt was to be pioneer in the study of the powerful force of the Arcane. 

Motivated not only by revenge but also by the genuine desire to fulfil his father will and complete his researches in making the world a better place for everyone, Ryou will make the Project Mew his only purpose in life. 

Years and years of study, locked in his own laboratory and house - his best friend and adoptive brother Keiichiro by his side in this quest - made Ryou as brilliant as introverted, unable to get really attached to someone. Maybe the Project Mew, the feeling of friendship with the five girls chosen to lead his experiment and the deep bond he felt with Retasu and Ichigo will help him saving not just the city… but also himself.

Charm, elegance and good manners. 

Keiichiro Akasaka, the most handsome man in Piltover, hides a turbulence past behind his gentle eyes.

Raised as a son by the Shirogane family, one of the most powerful in Piltover, Keiichiro - now the best chef in the Upper Town - was educated as a perfect gentleman by a brilliant father and a loving mother, growing up side by side with Ryou, who he’s always known and loved as a brother, loving his life but never forgetting those in need, bringing his delicious dishes to the poor people of Zaun. 

But since the death of his adoptive parents in a brutal attack, the peace and sweetness that have always distinguished him have been used for other purposes: his warm smiles became weapon to make himself loved by the rich, his good manners turned into a way to learn the secrets of the powerful, his job as chef a mere cover and a way to finance the lab of Ryou and his researches about the hextech and the human dna.

Now it is the boys turn, Ryou and Kei surely will be as charming as ever, the Arcane redesign fits them SOOOOO WELL if you know what I mean
