This is "love"
I think the similarity between Malleus and Grim might be because Grim is Malenoa's phantom.
To preface, I'm assuming Malenoa overblotted because of the scene in Sleeping Beauty where she snapped at seeing Diablo turned into stone?
Additionally, both movies of Maleficent involved a "death scene." In Maleficent 1, it was Diaval being chained down by King Stefan's soldiers/Maleficent was about to be slain by King Stefan and in Maleficent 2, its Maleficent actually died from protecting Aurora.
Both scenes eventually had a "saving from their impending death." But, since this is twisted wonderland, the Disney movie is more inspired by the Original Animation where Maleficent and her goons actually lost to the humans.
—
Diablo (Maleficent's birb) in TWST, is Levan right now and in recent updates its said that the latest news about Levan is that he's missing and there's rumors about him fighting Knight of Dawn; the strongest of the Silver Owls.
Right now, the Silver Owls are ambushing the Land of Briar castle where Malenoa is.
If it goes like this??? I think they kept Levan as hostage to officially take the land or something—
All I know is that someone must've harmed Levan because in the movie, Maleficent only attacked the kingdom or used all her powers to kill Prince Philip upon discovering the fairies turned Diablo into a stone bcs they want Prince Philip to escape and save Aurora.
From the words of Lilia about Malenoa, Malenoa is undefeatable– so I really don't believe she was overpowered by strength, but rather she was caught off guard by emotional turmoil (or for this theory, consumed by her own overblot).
—
Going back to Grim might be Malenoa's phantom… Grim is always assumed to be a phantom labeled as a direbeast for now... Its heavily theorized like that because of how, in his feral state, he devours blotted magic stones.
And, blotted magic stones are what supplies a phantom to live because they carry the magic power of a mage.
But phantoms can't be born without an overblot first... so who's mage is he a phantom of?
We know that the phantom's strength is a reflection of a mage capabilities when they were at the right state–
Malenoa was a really powerful mage so if we consider the destruction of NRC (and possibly the Sage Island? The entire sky was black out too) that we've seen in the prologue as the power of Phantom Grim, then Phantom Grim must originate from a formidable mage like Malenoa, because he easily beaten all mages on the island effortlessly and even plunged the surroundings in darkness.
If Grim is a phantom then he's a powerful one because he's ancient (assumed from his diagnosed curse from STYX), he has the intelligence of a human, and has immense destruction power (if he's not sane as shown with how he easily destroyed his cage room at STYX).
Also even if Overblot Grim is composed of different parts from the main 7 phantoms, his form is majorly resembling a dragon. And, Malenoa's a dragon.
(long post ahead)
Twst theory time (and this is a very big what-if) but Lilia is the one who cursed Silver
Not saying this is anywhere close to what the actual story has in mind (or if I even end up close I will be legitimately blown away)
(Warning- current chapter 7 spoilers, can change as more info comes out obviously)
But now that we’re getting a more accurate timeline of the history of the Human-Fae conflict in Briar Valley, I’m starting to wonder if maybe the ‘Knight of Dawn’ and Princess of the humans mentioned in (very loosely translated) chapter 7 part 4 are more directly related to Silver rather than distant- as in they are his parents, not his great-great-grandparents.
If Malleus’s mother was indeed murdered by the human forces of Briar Valley, which that seems to be at least where the reality of the situation is going, then I don’t see how someone as powerful as Maleficia would ever let anyone directly involved live.
That would include an innocent baby, should one exist.
The humans have killed the Princess of the Faes, they have seemingly torn down the Draconia lineage, but their child has done no wrong.
General Vanrouge has killed many in his time, but a baby?
Maleficia wants everyone dead, and so Lilia can make it seem like he did the dark deed…By sending the baby into an ageless sleep, where he will remain in stasis and in hiding until Lilia sees the time is right for him to awaken.
300 years pass. After 300 years, the late Princess’s egg finally hatches and the Draconia family line thankfully continues. Lilia dedicates himself to caring for the little prince as it is what his departed friends would’ve wanted.
Perhaps, there could be less bloodshed in their future. Current Lilia talks at length about how he wants humans and Fae to get along despite all that happened, he no longer wants war.
Maybe this human baby, a descendant of those humans who have so terribly wronged the Faes, could possibly act as a bridge between human and Fae relationships. Imagine, if Malleus and the human child were to become friends. It would change everything.
But Malleus is unstable and immature. He has his mother’s incredible temper, and he would be a danger to a human child as he is now. So Lilia waits, and Silver still sleeps.
Over 100 more years pass and Malleus is already itching to sneak out of the palace. There hasn’t been much conflict in years. It’s the perfect time to wake up the child.
So Lilia does, and the baby who has been sleeping for hundreds of years awakes as if nothing had happened.
He’s a baby, so he still sleeps a lot. That’s to be expected.
Except the sleepiness doesn’t stop, not even as the child grows up.
Lilia thinks he knows what’s wrong, but he doesn’t want to face it just yet. He takes Silver to multiple doctors, no one knows what’s wrong. They can’t detect anything, there’s no illness, nothing.
There’s seemingly no explanation as to why Silver is like this, so Lilia plays along with it.
But he knows.
Maybe he keeps it to himself, maybe he reveals everything to his old friend Baul who scolds him for hiding away the missing human prince the way he did, saying that there was no point in saving his life or bringing him back.
Silver was never going to live a normal life.
He has already lived longer than any normal human would, given the spell cast on him. That magic sleep he was in seeped into his being. The curse had been lifted, but a part of it still lingered there. He spent too long in magic sleep, and it will now forever try to drag him back into it, endlessly.
This is Lilia’s fault. He hadn’t meant to harm his son in this way, he had no idea what his powerful Fae magic would do to a feeble human baby’s body, and now his child is paying the price for his naïveté.
He trains Silver to be strong, resilient, and open-minded. His kindness is beyond Lilia’s teachings, and he is so proud to call Silver his son.
But he doesn’t have the heart to tell Silver what he did. He can’t tell Silver that he’ll never be cured, that this is something he will have to fight against with all of the strength he has in him. The darkness that tries to drag him into a deeper sleep is something he’s always been fighting against in his dreams during every sleep attack, it won’t stop.
He can’t tell Silver that he was spared out of pity and a belief that he would be useful for proving Lilia’s ideology on possible Human-Fae friendship. He can’t tell him that he has drastically altered Silver’s life in a way that doesn’t deserve the praise Silver gives him. He gave Silver that ring knowing well that Silver’s parents were long gone and possibly killed at his hand in revenge.
He adores being Silver’s father, and it would break him to see Silver look at him with a terrified expression, knowing what he did.
Princess Malenoa seems heavily correlated with Roses as her castle is named as Wild Rose Castle.
It reminded me of Malleus mentioning that Maleficia always sends rose seeds when it was his birthday.
Malleus is Malenoa's son... I think her sentiment in sending the rose seeds every birthday is to tell Malleus that his mother is also attending and celebrating his birthday. 😭🌹
Because of the amount of rose seeds Malleus' grandmother sends, Malleus eventually grew a rose garden out of it.
The current Briar Valley castle is called Black Scale Castle. Assuming the Malenoa's castle was destroyed or most likely the Land of Briar relocated to Briar Valley thus couldn't keep the castle—
I wonder if that's Maleficia's way to pay respects to the previous Wild Rose Castle? By making Malenoa's son plant the roses that used to surround it even after it no longer exists 😭 (I HC its full of roses that's why its called wild rose castle lol)
I'd die actually if they literally reveal a non-silouette Princess Malenoa 🥲💕✨✨

Since Lilia's card came out i NEEDED to post this sh*tty sketches i made a few weeks ago 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

The fact that Malleus likely spent like 300 years inside an egg after his parents died explains why his birthday is a national holiday. His country probably thought the Draconia bloodline was done for. They probably considered him a miracle. Think poor Queen Maleficia being the only one left, her daughter dead, her husband disappeared, she probably already gave up on the egg and imagine her reaction when Malleus hatched. Think of the scene in Tangled when Rapunzel's parents see her again after so long. The shock and disbelief and raw emotion on their faces. That is what I imagine Maleficias reaction was when Malleus, against all odds, hatched after centuries. He's a miracle. He's his country's hope for the future and all this context puts so much more pressure on his back.
I have this theory that Prince Levan and Yuu are similar.
Don't you think their traits so far matches? Kind, patient, able to traverse through adversities (for now its just raging Draconias lol), aspires to resolve conflicts between oppositions, doesn't possess any bias (maybe because they prefer peaceful options).
There is also a scene that matched well with what we know of Prince Levan with Yuu --
• Prince Levan dealing with Malenoa's tantrum safely -> Yuu telling Malleus to calm down and Malleus actually listening (during their trip kn GloMas)
• Prince Levan manages the foreign affairs of Land of Briar, he is negotiating to stop ravaging their land -> Yuu is assigned as the Prefect of NRC, they deal with the trouble ensuing in every dorm and striving to make its members work together.
• Prince Levan is Malenoa's informant and seems to be on the frontlines while Malenoa's the strategist -> Yuu is always tasked as the record keepers or watcher of events (even in main story) by Crowley, and sometimes if there's actual trouble, Yuu tells Crowley about it, providing Crowley some stand-in in dealing with NRC troubles rather than himself.
• If we assume that all Draconias are similar, perhaps its safe to assume that Malenoa was also interested with Levan because he treated her normally (because like Malleus she was also revered too much and didnt experience much normality).
It mirrors similarly to the dynamic of Malleus and Yuu in the present, how Yuu is not afraid of him and in turn, makes Malleus feel like a normal person.
• Lilia mentions him, Malenoa, and Levan are childhood friends. So, it means that Levan and Malenoa probably met when they were children. Malleus is only 178 out of 1000 years adult age, Lilia stated him as a child. Plus, if we refer to the past ages of official Yuu's (Yuuken and Yuuka are 17), they are children -growing up as well. (At least I think so-- 17 is really young for me lol) Anyways, we see that Malleus and Yuu got to know each other in their developing years or something--
• This is kind of a theory but Levan and Yuu have the traits of a beasttamer- Lilia states that Draconias are montrous (but they're still faes.) Yuu was dubbed as beasttamer by Crowley because of how they took care of Grim. Grim is a monster. And, both Yuu and Levan, like stated before, deals with "their monster's rages."
• Both Malleus and Malenoa seems to get attracted by Levan and Yuu because of their compassion to them. (Malenoa views Levan as "he's the only one she can depend on" and he cooked for her so we can believe that Levan was kind to Malenoa.) In contrast, Draconias are always seen as "ruthless villains" "cruel" and "terrifying."
• As the game repeatedly tells us, Draconias exceeds so much from the average. They are seemingly evil, powerful and ruthless to people, even when Malleus was raised by Lilia to be "a gentle fairy" he struggles still. And, because of the normality/kindness of Yuu and Levan, that they are most interesting to Draconias. Since all those traits (being normal) are essentially their unknown and the impossible---
• I think Draconias are also fascinated by the "weakness" and braveness of Yuu/Levan. (Levan was pitiful during the time where he, Lilia and Malenoa got lost while Malenoa just had a fun time out of it). Malleus teases Yuu about is he scary now since we always seem fearless to him- I wonder if Malenoa treated Levan this way as well... (because all Draconias seems to have same personalities lol i.e Malenoa has a habit of being talkative at unusual hours too much like how Malleus visits us to talk in the night)
• This is a reach, but Levan didn't get any silouette despite the fact he was explained many times by Lilia, just like how Yuu never gets revealed in game.
• The fact that Levan seems to be referenced from the two events: Glorious Masquerade and Halloween. These events have involved Yuu importantly instead of them just being on the sidelines-
Glorious Masquerade because it seems like he's Diablo-inspired and Malleus' outfit in that event has feathers of a raven. And, the fact Levan's Name is spelled like Raven. Plus, his outfit was designed to resemble royalty Briar Valley clothing and Levan IS a Briar Valley royalty (the princess' husband.)
Halloween Event because of Levan's title containing Long/Dragon Prince Levan. Malleus' Halloween costume was a Long/Chinese Dragon. Plus, the event highlighted the difference between Western and Eastern Dragon when Malleus info-dumped Vil about it so it holds significance that Eastern Dragons exists.
• There's also this parallel of Levan and Yuu being the one who goes and never returns. It seems that Malenoa sent Levan as her messenger to the Silver Owls to stop ravaging their land-- and now she is searching for him since he hasn't returned. Maybe we can assume Malenoa is regretting it because Levan's abscene is alarming that she is sending Lilia to find him. I think the act of "sending away" can be related to how Malleus accepted immediately that we're leaving to go back home despite his fear of losing us.
In conclusion, Malleyuu is generational OR In every Draconia heir there is a Yuu for them in the Yuuniverse population😂🐉🦐
Also, correct me if any of the info mentioned are amiss 😭 sometimes my mind just rolls and makes stuff up and I'm convinced it was real LOL
sorry if i didnt add sufficient screenshots, i didnt want to reach the photo limit lol and most of the things i mentioned about Malleus (for me) seems to be basic facts in the fandom so i thought it unnecessary.

Theories for Chapter 7 so far [SPOILERS?]:
We know that fae are known to kidnap people and spirit them away. So, what if Lilia, who literally is an old war general (ie tactician) kidnapped Silver because he and Malleus’ grandma knew Silver would someday save Malleus and that he knew Malleus would overblot eventually so he is trying to force the issue or rather cause a catalyst so it happens according to a plan, instead of on accident? Lilia acts all cutesy, but the man literally has yearsss YEARRRRS of experience with war, strategy, life, death, everything. Of course he would entrusted with this task, it was even said that he was her most trusted general. Anyway though, I think Lilia really does care for Silver, but lest we be reminded that Lilia kept him in a secluded cabin away from people, which makes me think he kidnapped him (because that’s what kidnappers do 🤷🏻♀️) and maybe he left him alone for days on end because he didn’t care for him originally. He was just part of the “plan” for Malleus. He probably also pulled a Sebastian Michaelis and was like, BRUH, I have to actually cook to keep this human alive? But unlike Sebastian, he could never get it right, and somehow Silver survived his cooking nevertheless. He probably grew closer to Silver as he grew up, hence why he always reminisces about him growing up, because he actually came to enjoy raising a child. Ugh..either way our boy Silver has a tragic backstory. Rip. 💀 I don’t think Lilia is a secret antagonist per say, but I think he is causing this because he really does care. Also, Sebek with his changing weapons is obviously supposed to represent, imo, all the different henchman of Maleficent. They had axes, swords, maces, etc. and his weapon can turn into whatever he needs it seems like weapon-wise. Her henchmen literally followed her no matter what, so whatever Malleus ends up doing, wrong or not, I believe Sebek will still be loyal to him and help him with his plans because the boy has tunnel vision. Finally, definitely think that Idia is Merryweather, literally is never listened to by others and makes truthful, yet rude side comments and is the most practical one of the three fairies with common sense. {Thanks for reading my rant/theories} 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Idia on his way to clean up everyone’s mess ^💀😂
