━ 𝐈 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 . . .

— pairing; malleus draconia x ramshackle! reader

summary; you and malleus make out in the underground waterways, set during the Glorious Masquerade event.

— notes; this is my first time writing for twisted wonderland please be nice or i will cry.

❋ It’s a bit of a local tradition (or so you’ve heard), how young lovers in the City of Flowers will sneak off into the underground waterways to share intimate moments.

❋ And, well.

❋ You’re already here in the City, anyway . . .

❋ When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

❋ You feign casualness when you bring up the topic of sneaking away for an impromptu exploration, peeking at Malleus through the fall of your hair to gauge his reaction.

❋ He looks . . . Intrigued.

❋ Malleus is a prince, and there would normally be standards for him to uphold, but it’s a masquerade festival and with how everyone’s features are all obscured by masks . . .

And he is a teenage boy experiencing love for the first time.

❋ He gives in easily enough, and the two of you slip away hand-in-hand.

❋ Entering the underground passageways, you both feel a thrill in the air. The dim glow of scattered lanterns and the soft, echoing sounds of water create a mesmerizingly romantic atmosphere. There's a sense of privacy down here that neither of you has had in a long time, and Malleus pulls you close, his gaze tender yet filled with a deep longing.

❋ Up close, Malleus looks like a dark prince, older and more sophisticated somehow. With his mask of black lace, all you can see of his face is his beautiful chiselled mouth and strong jaw.

❋ In the stillness, he cups your face and leans in, his lips meeting yours softly at first. It’s a delicate, almost reverent gesture. But soon, the passion builds as the two of you savour the stolen moment. His kisses grow bolder, a blend of ardour and restraint as he wraps an arm around your waist, drawing you flush against him.

❋ Desire explodes through your body as you kiss him back, matching his fervor, your hands knotting in his hair. He groans, a low sound in the back of his throat that reverberates through your body, and his hand moves down your body to your hips, his fingers digging into your flesh through the heavy silk of your dress.

❋ Just as things are heating up, you hear voices and footsteps echoing down the corridor. Your heart drops as you recognize Professor Trein’s unmistakable tone lecturing a group of students about the architecture of the city’s underground canals.

❋ The two of you are quick to break apart, and Malleus is quicker still to launch into a lecture about the history of the waterways (looking incredibly composed despite the display of passion mere moments before).

❋ You’re much less composed, your mouth slack as you try to drag precious air back into your lungs, your cheeks heating up underneath the delicate filigree of your mask. Still, you try your best to follow his lead, nodding and adding the occasional “oh, fascinating!” to keep up the ruse.

❋ And when Professor Trein rounds the corner, he greets the two of you with a smile (incorrectly) assuming that the two of you are there to soak up the local culture as well.

❋ Before the two of you rejoin everyone else, Malleus steals one last kiss, a gentle brush of lips with a promise for more stolen moments like this in the future.

❋ But his eyes are still luminous with desire, firing the already heated blood still pounding through your body.

The Vizier's Diamond in the Rough

In which you transmigrate in time into the past after you receive an enchantment wrist bangle. But the thing is, it was also the era where the notorious schemer ruled the kingdom by hypnotizing the Sultan.
Warning: gn reader. Pharaoh's concubine reference but Aladdin setting (younger jafar and the sultan) Head taller Jamil. Different story plot soon after.
(Really recommend Pharaoh's concubine.)

The wrist bangle was given to you by your brother as a gift. Your birthday was several days ahead, yet that didn't stop him from giving it to you early. Despite living in another country for work, he always makes sure to have time with you.

You opened it on the day of your birthday and carefully unwrapped the delicate ribbon under your hands. To your utter astonishment, your brother gifted you the most sought-after jewelry that was worth thousands at auction. You were perplexed by the precious gift your brother had given you and didn't know what to do. Your were greatful yet at the time, it felt overwhelming to receive it. You called your brother and was relief when he pick up after quite sometime.

"Happy birthday, dear sister. What brings your attention to call me? Shouldn't you be enjoying the time of your birthday?" You knew by the sound of his voice that he exactly knew why you called. "Oh, did you open mine? If so, was the jewelry to your liking?" he continued.

For a moment, you felt like you lived a millionaire's life despite being a middle-class citizen and a student at that.

"The jewelry was exquisite, it puts me beyond words for how much of an invaluable gift you have given me, dear brother. Not! How many times do I have to tell you I don't need expensive stuff." You huff as you admire the bangle snake design in hand despite your defiance short ago. It had diamonds on the side, and you didn't question their worth; what caught you more was the ruby that lay as the eyes of the golden snake.

In the middle of conversation, you place the dangle on your wrist, and to your surprise and horror, it glows brightly, making you turn your head away. Your wrist felt warmer, and even your closed eyes didn't help the brightness that surrounded you, and you blackened.

You woke up to the sensation of someone's hand shaking you. You didn't realize you were sleeping until someone who was unknown to you kept calling you. From your blurry eyes, you notice a woman with an unusual outfit, speaking a language that you knew you couldn't understand, but you did. Confused, you tried to speak, but the rasp in your voice stopped you. The lady brought out a glass of water and gave it to you. You mouthed a thank you and gulped down the remnants of the water.

"Young lady, what are you doing in the middle of the dessert?"

"I was?" You didn't know, the last memory you remember was your room. So how?

"Yes, I had help with a young man who was a gentleman who carried you here. He was quite a handsome man, young lady." You frowned and ignored her last words in favor of worrying for your brother, who was on the call when it happened. Has it already been a few days? Weeks?

"Can I ask, where am I?"

"You can. We are in the Kingdom of Agrabah, and Oh! My Apologies! Would you be alright if I leave you here whilst I work in the palace? You can stay here for as long as you wish." For a moment, you felt your world drop as she uttered her words and momentarily had a dilemma. You didn't know what to do; after all, how did you appear here?

Your eyes fell onto your wrist, and you saw you were still wearing the dangle. Remembering it shone before it took you here, you tried to take it off but to no avail. Taking one last look at the culprit, you turn your head towards her and remember you still haven't answered.

"Oh no, no, I couldn't do that. Let me join you, please. I could help you in some way, er-do you mind?" The kingdom existed hundreds of years ago and only made it into the history books. You couldn't stay at her abode for fear of potential danger because this town was filled with thieves according to history, and you also didn't want to stay longer than you should have. You also wanted to know someone in this era to help you adjust to this place for some time. With that in mind, you were determined to accompany her.

"I don't mind, but you should rest and stay the night. Tomorrow you can help, but for now, rest for all you need."

You sigh in relief, despite having to stay for the night, it was enough for you. You nodded before she left the room, and your expression dropped soon after she left. You looked out the window beside you with different emotions. Whatever shall you do?

The next day, entering the palace was an easy feat. Some guards didn't bat an eye as the two of you passed, and soon enough you were led to the kitchen, where people were tirelessly working. The workers were in sync as they passed the plates to each other while they moved side by side. You were confused as to what to do before the lady who accompanied you motioned for you to get closer and whispered something in your ear before tilting her head in another direction. You recognized the stack of white linens, and you knew you had to wash them judging from the stains that were hiding beneath.

She muttered a thank you and went along with her chores, as did you. It was quite heavier than it looks, yet you didn't give up and continued. You were glad the corridor leading to another side didn't have people passing by, but you wondered if you moved on the right way. You forgot to ask the lady, but you were too afraid to head back now. With a downcast expression, you didn't realize you bumped into someone until you took a step back from the force and almost fell down.

You quickly muttered an apology and moved to the side to get a clearer view. Your heart drops as you notice the garments that are often mentioned in the history of a certain royal vizier. Black clothing with a red cape, the snake design staff with red rubies, and black hair—you felt stupid for not thinking he couldn't appear before you.

Jamil Viper is the vizier of the kingdom of Agrabah and the right-hand man of Kalim al-Asim, the current sultan.

He brushes the dust off his shoulder, and much to your dismay, you had to crane your neck upward just to see his face as your height reaches just below his shoulder. He wore a neutral expression as his eyes fell over your form, and you felt uneasy under his stare. His silence was intimidating.

"If you were assigned to washing, the area was on another building."

"O-oh, I see. Thank you and my apologies."

You were honestly surprised and grateful at his advice, but you sensed something was wrong when he still didn't move and continued staring at you. You tried to call out for him, but he nodded at something before continuing on his stride, making you confused over his actions. For the few seconds he stared at you, you felt a faint sense of fuzziness, but it was gone the minute he walked away. You knew it was still in effect, but it was less than before and disappeared completely when he was nowhere to be seen. Did he try his sorcery?

Your eyes fell onto your wrist and saw the glow in its ruby. Without a second thought, you lifted your arm and tried to lay it under the sun for a clearer view, wondering what lies it beholds, ignoring what happened a few seconds earlier. A hand shot out and grasped your forearm, causing you to flinch back in shock. The hand was firm in their hold as they moved it to the side of their face. Jamil Viper, in all glory, stood before you as he assessed the dangle; his eyes were a glowing shade of red.

"Where did you get this?" His voice was low as he muttered his question, still looking at the dangle. You were alarm as he came out of nowhere, the white linens laid forgotten as you tried to move away but was unsuccessful.

"I-" Your words betray you, as you were under his hold. His eyes flicker towards you, and he grasps your forearm tighter and moves it closer.

"Where.Did.You.Get.This."

"Let go!" You pulled your arm away, glaring at him while the force pulled you back. The familiar light shone from your wrist, and his expression flickered with anxiety, anger, and frustration.

"You-"

Your vision turns black again, but this time you stay awake for a few minutes before passing out on the ground as soon as you notice you made it back home.

Request story~

"I saw y/n had a special mark on the back of her hand. It was very similar to you father..." Silver said as he sat on the couch in front of Lilia, who pondered at his words before plastering a smile between his lips. He wore a carefree expression, his back lay comfortably on the backrest, and a hand rested on the side of his face. The glove covered what was underneath. If Silver didn't know him at all, he would guess Lilia was merely uninterested, yet he knew he wasn't. His eyes were the ones that gave him away.

"Is that so? Do tell what type of design she had, maybe we could help her find her soulmate in this world." The two men in the room knew Lilia was avoiding the topic, yet Silver still continued.

"It was beautiful...A bat was covered with intricate design..." Silver nodded off while mumbling his words before he fell asleep.

Lilia chuckled as sleep finally consumed Silver, who laid his head on the side of the couch. He floats behind him and places a blanket over his large form, patting his head gently while his lips turn downward. His eyes held a forlorn gaze while staring at the ceiling.

"She would be unhappy if she stayed with me."

~~~
Lilia was no fool. He had seen her soulmark by accident when they were paired to get some ingredients in the botanical garden. He remembered it as if it were yesterday.
The brightness shone from the transparent glass from the ceiling as they made their way, their feet scrunching from the ground while Lilia stayed in front of y/n, who, unbeknownst to him, had her gaze on him the moment they had paired.
They were quiet, to say the least. Lilia was in deep thought while y/n called out for him before placing her hand on his shoulder, catching his attention.
"Lilia?"
Said person turned his head, and the first thing he saw was the black ink on the back of her hand. His eyes widened slightly before his face returned to a neutral expression. It can't be right?
"What's wrong, y/n?" She paused for a moment and shook her head.
"Nothing, are you alright?"
"Hm? What made you think of that?" y/n merely smiled and continued on their way.
"Just a question."
.
.
.
After some early duties, Lilia floats towards the classroom with bats in tow. He greeted the other students by scaring them, watching in amusement as they let out a sheer scream and left bewildered.
He chuckled and sat down in an empty chair with no neighbor. The bell chimed before students sat in their respective places while Lilia's partner seemed to disappear, late mayhaps. He zoned out for a while as their teacher called out their names before a student barged in, panicked and disheveled.
"y/n-"
"Here!"
Her eyes glanced around the room before they fell onto the empty seat beside Lilia. She mumbled her apologies to their teacher as she made her way towards the table. The textbooks lay on top with a soft thud as she sat down and greeted Lilia with a smile, who smiled in return. For a few moments, Lilia's attention was distracted by the warmth emitting from y/n. The classroom wasn't cold per se; the fairies did their job well, yet he felt the room was cold aside from the figure beside him. He didn't know.
His eyes flickered towards y/n, whose attention was solely on the board in front of them. He admires the way her eyes focused on the lesson, her nose scrunched a little, and her eyes furrowed. Turning his attention back to the board, he let a small smile grace his lips.
This distance was enough.
.
.
.
They fall into a routine without him realizing it. He would always sit in the middle row (I don't know where his seat was, but anyway-) and she always sat by his side. The pair still didn't talk much with each other, and Lilia was rather optimistic about their situation. This continued for the next few days; she would smile at him after they sat down, and he was the first to leave at the end of the lessons, excusing himself for the sake of duties that were equal to non at the moment. The trio noticed how odd his actions were and started asking him questions, which he denied.
"Lilia, are you sure you are okay? Have your duties occupied your time?" Malleus was the first to ask. Silver appeared beside him, and one glance at Lilia was all it took to know what dilemma Lilia was facing.
"Father, is this about your bond? If so, why are you avoiding her?" Lilia was grateful that he didn't mention her name, as he felt his resolve was weakening.
"Romance is not for me, Silver... I am afraid she needed someone who was lively and much closer in age rather than someone who could be her grandpa at best." Lilia plastered a smile, watching the other frown, and Malleus turned to both of them, confused for a moment before recognition was written on his face. His lips opened before closing as he withdrew his words. He sighs and turns to Silver, who bowed and left the two in the lounge. The air shifted as they sat down on the couch, just like Lilia and Silver did before, but with Malleus.
"I never thought you would resort to this action." Malleus said after a beat of silence passed by them.
"It's for the best."
"And what part is the best?"
"For her to realize someone was much more worth than a soldier myself."- Lilia pursed his lips-" And for that, I made a decision."
Malleus was quiet. He too knew the risk of loving a human and would one day watch them before they took their last breath. He fully understood his position, yet he wondered.
"Lilia." He breathes, looking at him in the eyes, and for once, Lilia saw the young prince was starting to mature. "You taught us to appreciate our surroundings more, even the people around us. Enjoying their presence before they soon went somewhere were a very long time for us to reach."
This time, Lilia was the one who was quiet as he listened.
"What's wrong with loving a human despite the difference between the two of you? " For once, Lilia's words that helped others and sometimes himself failed him at the most important moment of his life. He knew what Malleus said was true; after all, the answer was already on the table and hadn't been noticed despite the signs being already there.
The times when y/n thought she was good at hiding her excitement were when he was near. The way her eyes crinkled in amusement and the way she beamed—even a small gesture made by him could bring her happiness—she stayed by his side without fail.
"Have you found your answer?"
Lilia's smile widened before he nodded at the tall man, his mood had already lifted.
"Fufufu of course."
"Then we shall wait for your breakthrough, Lilia."
.
.
.
The next day, Lilia found her sitting below a tree. He admired how the sun added to her complexion as she lay on the ground, basking in the free time she had with a sandwich on hand. He floated towards her, careful not to make a sound as he floated upward. His vision turned upside down as he fell just inches away from her face as he surprised her.
"Boo!"
"Eek! Lilia?!" The sandwich on her hand almost fell to the ground before she composed herself and chuckled.
"Goodevening Lilia-san." y/n surprises him as she offers the extra sandwich she had, but he refuses. After all, y/n needed it more than he did, yet she didn't take no for an answer, and he had to bite to appease her command. His attention drifted away from the deluxe sandwich, and he almost forgot the reason why he came.
"y/n dear, do you mind if I stay with you?"
"Sure." She replied easily, and he sat down in front of her. The pair ate in silence as their attention drifted into their thoughts. Lilia, who became bolder, sat down beside her, making her surprised by his actions. She wanted to ask, yet she didn't, enjoying his presence more than she ever admitted which he too didn't realize as he watched how her lips curled up in a smile easily. He was pleased by the turn of events and glanced at the sky, wishing for something he wouldn't say.
Lilia didn't want to rely solely on the mark that binds between them, he wanted her to fall for him without the mark telling them which choices they would make.
.
.
.
There were notable changes between the two pairs as they made their way towards the library. Even the three sons (Sebek is also his son okay?) noticed how the bat seemed to be at ease and happier. Lilia no longer played hide-and-seek. He was also always at her company, which she didn't mind. This continued for days, and unbeknownst to them both, they were slowly developing some affection for each other, yet y/n couldn't shake the feeling of guilt as they met during their usual routine. Lilia noticed her growing distance and wasn't afraid to ask her, despite the growing uncertainty that crossed his head. Does she finally know?
"y/n is something bothering you?"
"A-ah no..." Her eyes were still distant as she looked at the book spine. Lilia stood there, silently observing before he asked the question that had been nagging him before.
"Was it something connected to your mark?"
She freezes under his stare and drops her quest to find the book they need.
"I'm not sure." y/n didn't lie. She didn't know how to bring up something without alarming him about something she had known for a very long time. She sat down on a chair nearby and let out a small sigh.
Her confused expression was enough for him. His face softened, he floats at her side, and he sits down, watching how she seems nervous.
"You knew?" Lilia was calm, whilst y/n face reddened by shame.
"I thought if I did that, somehow a part of you would accept my presence. It
was fine even if it wouldn't do me any favors."
Lilia watched intently while she was trying to explain her reason. He breathed and smiled, catching her off guard as he took off his gloves and clasped her hand in his, holding their soulmark together. He relishes the warmth of her hands in his, admiring their mark together while they stay silent in each other's presence.
"I admit, I was a fool. I'm sorry for disregarding your opinion because I thought it was the best." He was, for the days he spent avoiding her. Ah, he felt like a buffoon.
"I know." she replies, laying her head on his shoulder, her hair tickling his neck as the faintly sweet-scented rose surrounded them as he inhaled. Her presence not only calmed him but also acknowledged that the one for him was here, right by his side.
"Are you sure you wanted to stay with me? I am nothing but an old man."
"I'm sure."
Thank you, y/n
Whaaa thank you for the wait, i'm sorry for taking too long to post. As for Lilia, i'm sorry for making him a bit ooc.😖
The Trickster
Welcome to the show~
Summary: In which Epel forces you to come with him to a show where a certain magician tried to win your heart.
"Welcome, my dear guests." A voice echoes around you as the lights turn on, surrounding the whole area with different colors. The people around you cheered in anticipation as they waited for the magician's arrival. Even your friend Epel Felmier, who was sitting at your side, leapt up from his seat and screamed louder with his hands cupping his cheeks.
The whole area was buzzing with excitement as you quietly watched the whole ordeal. You were already content to simply watch in silence while Epel begged to differ. He threw a massive fit earlier in the day, convincing you to come and liven up your life rather than staying over to watch your parents shop while they're away.
You ask him how a show could liven up your life when you have responsibilities, and he shrugs.
"Just come and watch, will ya? When was the last time you had fun? Come on, have I ever asked you anything?"
That shuts you up. He also uses puppy doll eyes, which he knew you couldn't refuse. They stare at your soul, begging and trapping you in their hue. Who were you to decline?
You begrudgingly happily closed the shop and accompanied the smirking Epel, and that led you here. The area's noises slowly dwindled as the magician still had yet to arrive with his appearance despite his voice calling out earlier, until a lady screamed from the side, earning your attention, and low and behold, the magician stood right behind her, stiffling his laughter while his whole demeanor showed amusement.
He wore a black long-sleeve tuxedo with white and red heart patterns on his collar and pants. The edges of his tuxedo had gold embroidered patterns, while the sides of his arms were covered with small red hearts ending just below his hand. He also had white gloves and a hat that were similar to the colors that he wears. His whole face, except the part on his lips, was covered with a mask. On the left side of his face, he also had a red heart shape just besides the eye.
His physique leans more on the younger side, maybe even the same age as yours. You expected him to be a middle-aged man or older, judging by the rumors swirling around, but then again, don't judge a book by its cover. The whole area erupted in cheers as they noticed the magician, whose upper body bent slowly as he bowed towards his audience. He slowly lifted himself up and turned to the other person beside him, grinning.
"Hey, mister, can I borrow your cloak a bit?"
"A-ah sure!"
Definitely young.
The people around you stayed silent as they watched what he would do. He lifted the cloak close to himself and turned to the audience with a smirk. He twirled himself around as you watched intently before the cloak fell to the ground and he disappeared. The audience gasps and murmurs. The lights turn to a single position on the stage, with the magician standing in the center. Epel raised his fist in the air as he cheered, while you clapped along with the others.
"I'm sorry for the long wait; I was unfortunately held up for a second." He clicked his finger, and smoke soon covered the ground. He appeared on the other side of the building with a pen in his hand. He twirled it around as he moved around with a laid-back demeanor.
"But I had it under control. Now who wants a show?"
The audience replied with screams and buzzed with excitement, while the magician chuckled before stiffling in laughter at the attention. Why did he laugh? You didn't know.
"Haha! My bad, teehee, I'm afraid I'll need some help with my performance. Who was willing to come up on stage?"
Some volunteered by raising their hands in the air, while others seemed reluctant. The magician tilted his head to the side; his fluffy orange hair swayed just a little, and he plastered a smirk.
"Don't be shy; I won't let anything bad happen to all of you. My tricks are harmless," he assures. You watch in fascination as they seem to follow his words and raise their hands. He picked some of them up before moving them to the stage. He instructed them by whispering in their ears, making the audience curious. Epel, who seemed to be quiet, took the popcorn out of nowhere and offered you some of it. You helped yourself, munched the cheese-flavored popcorn, and waited.
"Tch, it's taking quite some time, Epel mumbled for your ears to hear. You hum in acknowledgement as you watch the magician smile throughout the whole process.
He was at ease.
You noted how he was still laid-back and wondered if he wasn't pressured at all. Instead, he looked thoroughly enjoying his work as he moved in another direction and onto the next; despite the growing frustration of some audience members, he took the time to talk with them. He moved his gaze around and soon noticed your stare, which he assumed was directed at you.
The mask on his face also hides his eyes, which made it hard to tell what he was looking at for a moment, yet you stared. You didn't seem shy looking at him and instead faced him without meaning to. He let a smile grace his lips, very different from the way he smiles at others. He mouthed something in your direction, and you tilted your head in confusion before he clapped hands, earning the attention around him.
"At long last, let the show begin!"
You wondered about something he had said but shrugged it off with the thought that maybe it was directed at someone else; it would be really awkward if you thought it was you but it wasn't.
At his command, hundreds of fireworks emitted from the ceiling. You watch in fascination as it falls to the ground like a thousand droplets; one of them falls to your hand and takes shape into a heart crystal.
The audience clapped in unison as the magician bowed and raised one hand in the other direction. The pen in his hand glowed, and magic seemed to spill from the tips. It flowed through the air like a wind, and when Epel touched the air, an imaginary apple and carved objects danced through the air surrounding him. You laughed as he tried to swat the objects, causing them to split and multiply.
You tried one yourself, yet none seemed to work like it did for others. Disappointed, you lowered your hand and directed your attention to the stage. The audience, who volunteered, made a few tricks with the help of the magician, and they enjoyed the experience while the magician disappeared from view.
He appeared beside you while the audience's attention was captured on the stage. You turn your head just in time to see him lower himself to the floor and seem to be preparing for his next performance before noticing your gaze on him. The lines in his mask seemed to widen before his lips curled up once more with his finger on them. You shyly smiled and tilted your head before turning around and noticing how your face was getting warmer.
You had no idea how you caught the magician in his act or how he noticed you. One thing is for sure: he was actually handsome, even with a mask. Maybe the way he carried himself added to his charm? You didn't want to know.
He watches you as you turn your head away, noticing the red tint in your ears.
even from the darkness in his view.
Cute.
The whole performance ends when the clock turns ten. The guests started to leave while chatting among themselves. The two of you waited for the crowd to disperse before you went home. Epel yawned without a care while you stood at his side, blowing your hands as they slowly became warmer.
Epel kept praising the show the whole time as you walked home. You merely smiled in response, half listening as you recalled the event in your mind. The heart glass was still in your palm; it was oddly warm despite the temperature.
You lifted it up in the air and stared at the transparent crystal.
Epel noticed your silence and saw the crystal hanging in your hand. He smirked, covering his mouth as he looked at you with a knowing look in his eyes. You noticed your weird friend pointing at signs while you scrunched your eyes.
"What is it?"
"Nothing; you seem to enjoy yourself."
You didn't reply as you continued to stare at the crystal, looking quite thoughtful. Epel was surprised as you pondered his question by the way your lips turned into a thin line and you stared blankly.
Then you smiled softly; the moonlight glistened your figure under its glory; your eyes brightened for the first time since you came and you nodded, causing Epel to blink his eyes.
"It was fun."
Epel invited you once again to the same show after a few months had passed. You were tending your shop as usual when he slammed the door, surprising you and even the customer. He threw the ticket in your face while bursting with excitement. You read the contents as he shared the news with the customer, who was also your friend, Jack.
"-That show was interesting, ya hear?! Even y/n had fun watching the show!"
"R-really? He was here? Can I join?"
The brute's tail wags without his knowledge, and Epel takes full advantage of his sudden interest and puffs his chest.
"Buy one on your own. Ya know, it was hard getting these tickets by myself, so you better buy that-"
"I see, thank you very much!"
"W-wait! Do you even know where- and he's gone."
Jack's actions left the two of you confused. Epel, shrug it off as him being a fan before you nod. You tap your phone and contact one of your friends whom you haven't seen in a long time. Epel encouraged you to contact him, as he too missed the other brute. You put your phone on speaker and waited for him to pick up. After three dials, the other side of the phone muffled a greeting.
"Sebek!" The two of you cheered before the mood changed.
"HUMAN! Who dares to call the king's guard in the middle of his duty?! What is it so important for you to make a ca-"
Ah, convincing him would probably take a long time.
Sebek had a frown on his face as the three of you spotted him in the crowd. He was easy to find, being taller than most people nearby. They gushes about how handsome and tall the half-fae is; he could somewhat hear what they were saying as he looked quite uncomfortable under their gaze. Jack, being the kind he was, also didn't notice the way people stare at him called the king's guard, Sebek.
"Sebek, here!"
The said person craned his neck to glance behind him and made his way towards the group.
"Took you long enough."
"Hah, like I did. I have been waiting for ten minutes!" Epel chirped in.
"You were just too early!"
"Guys, keep your voice down! People are already looking." Jack scolded the two while you stood there, feeling embarrassed as people watched your group.
"*Sigh* Let's just go." you mumbled.
You four sadly sat down chairs away from each other. Apparently, Epel blindly bought the tickets without checking if the seats were next to each other. Jack didn't know which number our chair was and bought a random number, while Sebek was a similar case to Jack. Jack was on his phone while Epel mumbled curses at his mistake. Sebek was so done with everything that he flopped down on his chair as he stared into a hole in the stage, wishing for everything to end so he could return to his master.
You were calm as you sat down, greeting the lady beside you with a court nod. Just as you sat down, the lights turned off and on in different colors, just as before.
"Yahoo everyone! Did you miss me? Of course all of you do!"
He bowed to the audience and plastered a smirk on his face, with which you had grown familiar. He floated in the air, earning the audience's awe, before he flew around the crowd while thousands of different flowers fell behind him.
You catch a red rose as it falls before you and admire its beauty, caressing the petals before turning your attention back towards the stage where you assume he would be. To your surprise and shock, he stood before you, offering his hand. He was still wearing a smirk, and his demeanor showed pride in him.
You were confused as to why he was standing before you while the audience whispered among themselves; your seatmates even moved away as they gawked.
"Is she his girlfriend?"
"Lucky girl, imagine having the magician as your boyfriend."
"How romantic."
You were growing more flustered under their stare, and I have no doubt your friends are staring hard at your form. You had completely forgotten the man who was responsible for the attention as you covered your flushed face with your hands, wishing the chair could swallow you whole. You heard a chuckle in front of you, and you chose to ignore it.
"You were kind of cute, weren't you? I couldn't help but notice you since I have come here, he confessed so casually. You sat there, frozen in place and blushing like a fool.
Moving your hands away, you saw he was still offering his hand, but his face was much closer than before. He tilted his head. Innocence was emitting from him, but you knew he was enjoying your flustered state.
You reluctantly accept his hand, not wanting to delay the show and wishing it to end. His hand was warm despite the glove he wore, and the idiot was grinning like a fool at the sight of you so deeply red. He clasped your hand in his and lifted you up.
"Would you mind joining me for today? You were the perfect candidate for my heart, you know."
You lifted your gaze unimpressed before scoffing loudly.
"How am I the perfect candidate? I don't recall anything that could peak your interest, sir magician."
"Ace."
"What?"
"Call me Ace."
You stared at him, dumbfounded, as he casually said his name. The crowd cheered for the both of you while your eyes flickered with emotion. You could hear Epel screaming louder while you wondered what happened to the other two. You shut your mouth and looked at him, even more confused. He took pity on you by simply tightening his hold on you and holding your waist before flying in the air. You shriek in surprise and hold onto his coat. He chuckled and put the rose in your hand behind your ear.
"Don't be afraid; just relax."
You nodded, still gripping his coat, as you took a deep breath.
"I'm ready, but if something happens to me, I'm suing you."
"Haha goodluck."
The air shifted as you moved in the air. You breathed in the scent of roses lingering around you as he swayed you back and forth, dancing in the air. The whole time you were looking down on your feet as you watched the crowd and noticed their intense and fascination stare. You were stiff as he twirled you around, and for a second, you thought he would drop you.
"Relax, you're doing just fine. Did you know when I first saw you months ago, you were sitting with a lack of interest in your eyes?"
Oh, did I just look like that?
"You did."
"Did I just say that out loud?"
"Nope, but your face is."
He laughed as you glared in his direction.
"I'm sorry for having such an expression." You couldn't help but apologize as you remembered the way he was attentive to the audience. He was trying to give everyone the best of his abilities, and here you are, being unappreciative of his work. You observed his expression for any signs of malice, yet you found none; his  face was neutral.
"Is that why you noticed me now?" So you could prove everyone should be happy under your watchful gaze?
"Nope, I made a promise to you, remember?"
What?
You furrowed your eyes and continued to stare at him. He grinned, and his face grew closer.
"Remember? I recall you reading my lips before the show started."
He let a smile grace his lips, very different from the way he smiles at others. He mouthed something in your direction, and you tilted your head in confusion before he clapped his hand, earning the attention around him.
"A-ah that?!"
"Now you're talking."
"But the thing is, I don't remember. I thought it was for someone else." You reason while his lips turn into an o shape. He looked quite thoughtful before smiling, just like before.
"Then just read my lips like before."
"What?"
You didn't have time to ask again, as he moved his lips soon after. This time, you watch intently, and you catch most of the words.
If you weren't impressed today, the next time I'll show you the best.
You let your lips curl into a smile and shake your head at his musing. Why would he make a promise to a stranger like that? You didn't know, but it warms your heart.
Try your best, Ace; I'm counting on that one.
"I'm still hoping to catch your heart in the process by the-'"
"Not the time!"
.
.
.
Ace really did try his best; he let you sit back down in your chair after quite some time before showing more of his magic around the area. It was relaxing and satisfying to watch, yet it didn't seem to satisfy him, as he sometimes looked in your direction before flicking magic surrounding your area like the one before.
You remembered it didn't work the last time and wondered if it would be the same.
You tried to reach out again, and you were surprised at how many tiny little hearts surrounded you. They changed into different forms each time, showing different animals and flowers, and you felt at ease by how warm they were. Sadly, everything came to an end when the whole area was swarmed with police officers.
"Ace trappola! You are under arrest for fraud!" One of the police officers spoke with a gun pointing towards the suspect. His cyan-colored eyes flickered around you, and he did a double take when he noticed you were there. His eyes widened before turning furious at the magician.
Deuce?!
"Oops, that's my cue to leave!" The magician bowed to the audience one last time with a grin on his face.
"Once again, thank you for coming. See you next time!"
He disappeared into the thin air, and you shrieked in surprise when he appeared beside you as he carried you into his arms and left the scene still grinning.
Why is he dragging you with him?
He was quite fast as he dodged the police line of sight with you in his arms. You tightened your grip on his shoulders before turning to face him with a frown on your face.
"You could just leave me there, you know?"
"Sorry!" He didn't seem quite sorry, judging by the tone of his voice. You were growing more frustrated the more you flew away. You turned to face him with anger written in your face.
"My friends are waiting for me; I can't simply leave them behind for a stranger whom I have only met twice!"
"Too bad, you still didn't seem to be impressed, just like I promised!"
"Huh, what? But I-"
He took off his mask, and you were surprised. He had unusually red eyes that stared at you with cheekiness in them. His lips curled in mischief as he noticed you becoming quiet under his gaze.
"You'll be seeing me from now on; I'll impress you with my tricks just while you wait."
Yahooo thank you for reading. To clarify I based his design to disney recruiter jack heart. And a fact also is if you squint your eyes, there is a secret as to why the police arrive the show~
Someone called them, who was it?
Sypnosis: The reader didn't know what caused her to fall asleep thus Vil planned to help her.
Warning: the reader is not Yuu but a dorm member of Pomefiore.
Your body feels heavy. Despite your best efforts at keeping awake, you felt your head betraying you in favor of sleepiness that started to creep in. You always rested enough to function for the day, but for the past few weeks, you started to fall asleep without meaning to. You visited a doctor for your strange occurrence, yet their answer was nothing, nothing too concerning. You tried other clinics, but they said the same. Just rest a lot more but you knew it wasn't simple. You thought your situation was a fragment of your imagination but your current predicament says otherwise.
You avoided some students nearby and waited for them to leave, then allowed your sluggish figure to slump on the ground as you laid your back on the wall. You inhaled some air, feeling your consciousness slip away. You were exhausted already, despite the sky's indication for today. You weren't too keen on your housewarden's scolding if he learned you missed an hour of class or two. But you couldn't move a muscle.
No doubt, if someone saw you, they would tell the housekeeper about you slacking off from class. It wasn't rare for someone to be caught doing such a thing, but you don't want a record for bad behavior during your time at NRC. You survived for the last two years; your third year wouldn't be any different.
But as you tried to stand up, you couldn't maintain your balance for a second before you fell again and couldn't get up without getting dizzy. With your current situation, going to the classroom would be out of the question. You would be dozing off for the rest of the lesson, and having your vice-housewarden as your classmate would no doubt relay the information to the housewarden. On the other hand, the mirror towards the dorm would be one of your options, but the risk of someone noticing you would be higher. The better option would be the infirmary. Crewel-sensei must know something about your predicament, but the thought of him dismissing your illness as fatigue would probably trouble you more.
You were totally lost as to what to do.
Still, asking him would still be the best, and you couldn't know until you tried. With that in mind, you tried to stay awake and lay your hand on the wall for support. But just after a few steps, you felt a presence behind you, looming over your figure. You turn around and gasp as you notice your housewarden's frowning gaze upon you. He was wearing the Pomefiore dorm uniform, indicating he had just come from the meeting. He wasn't using his usual hairstyle in favor of tying it behind his back. His light blonde hair glistened under the sun's brightness from the window, enhancing his beauty, but the sight of him makes you panic.
"Why aren't you back at your class? The bell rang a few minutes ago."
You were quiet as he waited for your answer. But as you just tried to explain, your head feels lighter, and you can't control your sleepiness anymore. The last thing you remember is the way his eyes widened before calling out your name.
.
.
.
Sometime later, you wake up in the infirmary. The ceiling greeted your vision as you tried to flutter your droopy eyes. You notice the sun's brightness has turned orange, indicating you have been asleep for a long time. You weren't surprised by how it turned out.
You glance around for any signs of your housewarden, but it seems he has already left. Though You weren't sure if you were off the hook or if sometime later there would be punishment waiting for you, You just hoped it would be the latter.
"What is this, falling asleep in the middle of the day? Didn't I remind you to sleep early at night?" Crewel asked as he noticed you were awake. You sit up from the bed, and frankly enough, you are still sleepy. Crewel noticed you were still unresponsive and gave you a bottle of liquid. You held the bottle up in your face as you stared. Curious.
"That potion was supposed to help you stay awake for a few hours," he replied as he noticed your confusion. You nodded your head, but the thought made you frown. You tried one of these after a few days of your supposed illness and even tried to make one that could help, yet none of them worked. But the scent rolling from the inside was much stronger than the one you drank before; maybe it will work?
You drank most of the liquid, yet you feel disappointed. The potion effect still didn't work the way you wished. Even if it wasn't, you were grateful to Crewel-sensei for giving you the potion. Drinking the remnants from the bottle, you didn't notice another person enter the infirmary until they were near enough.
"Oh my, Mademoiselle Little Flower! How are you? Did you sleep well? Does your curse happen a lot?-" His voice surprised you while Crewel left for his class in the afternoon.
Your vice-housewarden, Rook Hunt, started to ask you many questions, but you got lost in the middle. Dumbfounded. You wondered why he was here instead of waiting for you back at the dorm. Was it Vil who requested your presence as soon as possible? Wait, he did mention something about a curse.
"Forgive me for cutting off your questions, Vice-Housewarden, but ah, you mention a curse?" You frowned. You didn't have time to ponder more when he nodded his head as if it answered everything.
"Oui, Mademoiselle! Your condition was living proof of that. Come,  let's go back to the dorm. Roi de Poison would explain more about your condition."
He didn't indulge you with more information and waited for you to stand up on your own. Instead of asking more questions, you stayed silent as you followed him away from the infirmary. You sometimes notice how he glances at your figure as you walk, keeping an eye out for you if you suddenly stumble without notice. You were grateful yet at the same time annoyed by how you felt as if someone had to help you with the most simple task, such as walking.
"Am I in trouble for not attending class earlier?" You asked after silence passed between the two of you. He laughs, and you realize your question sounds as if a child would get scolded by a parent. You flush in embarrassment. Thankfully, he took mercy on you, even just for a second, as he answered, still shaken from laughter.
"He was not Mademoiselle little Flower. He just wishes you should have said something about your condition earlier so he wouldn't be worried. You frightened our Roi de Poison, you see." Somehow, imagining Vil-san's worried expression about your passed out body was embarrassing. Out of all people, it had to be your strict housewarden to witness your devastating and unflattering moment.
You didn't speak a lot, but Rook didn't seem to mind your silence as he was busy praising Vil-san's beauty. Though you made some comments here and there, you chuckled a lot more when he exaggerated Vil-san's inspiring speeches.
Once back at the dorm, you notice your housewarden in the lounge, who is still wearing the clothes he was wearing earlier while talking to another student. The student carries two different shades of fabric as Vil scrutinizes each of them. He motioned his hand over the other one, complimenting the shade, before the other person nodded. Rook greeted Vil gleefully as he dismissed the other student. Vil turned to Rook, acknowledging him before he gazed upon your form. His eyes analyzed you as you mumbled your apology.
"Housewarden, I sincerely apologize for passing out on you earlier." You bowed, your hair covering the side of your face. His heeled boots appeared in your vision before his fingers held your chin up to look at him.
"Nothing to apologize for, my dear. Tell me, how are you?" You composed yourself under his gaze and let your hands fall to your sides. "I'm fine Housewarden."
He nodded and turn you side by side. You stayed still under his gaze as he ponder. "You can call me Vil. Tell me, when did your curse appeared?"
"A few weeks ago, around the time when we had a small celebration with our dorm." you answered truthfully, watching how their eyes frowned. Vil seems more conserved, while Rook seems thoughtful. You wanted to dismiss their concerns, but if you mentioned it to them, they would absolutely disagree.
"How many times does your curse become active for a day?" You paused, still a bit surprised at the term of the curse upon you. Back to the question: it was very complicated, to say the least. Sometimes it was different; rather than falling asleep, you would often feel lightheaded for the rest of the day, so you didn't know if your curse was active or not. You zoned out for a while, and Vil hit your head lightly to get your attention.
"How rude of you to zone out when we are talking." he scolded.
"My apologies, Vil-san. It's just, it's complicated. There were often times I fell asleep twice a day and it only lasted for twenty minutes; on the other hand, there wasn't at all, but rather I felt lightheaded for the rest of the day." You pursed your lips before continuing. "But these days, it's gotten worse. I tried to brew one that could help my cond-ah curse, but it wasn't strong enough." Your voice was silent on the end. There was silence until Vil folded his arm and said,
"Well, what do you think, Rook? Do you know something?" Vil turned to his second-command, and you did too. The two of you waited for his reply, but the hunter shrugged his shoulders, holding his hands in the air.
"Non non, at all."
Vil sighed at his second-command's lack of insight before turning to you once more. "Did you receive some gifts of some kind from anyone?"
"Not that I'm aware of, no."
Vil nodded, and you felt useless for not thinking too much. Rook clapped his hand, earning both of your attention, and Vil looked at him expectantly. Rook had his signature grin on his face as he pulled the two of you into his arms. You chuckle lightly while Vil looks dissatisfied. His uniform was getting wrinkled.
"My apologies, Roi de Poison, but let's enjoy this day before we think of a solution to Mademoiselle little Flower here, hm? What do you say, Roi de Poison?"
Vil was a little peeved by Rook's antics before nodding his approval. "Y/N, I'll personally talk to the teachers about your condition. I will let you know the details and what plans we were about to make tomorrow morning. Do you understand?"
"Vil-"
"Do you understand?"
You reluctantly nodded, and Rook instantly let go of the both of you, still grinning while Vil patted some wrinkles on his clothes. You bowed deeply to your Housewarden and vice with gratitude.
"Thank you so much for looking out for my wellbeing, Vil-san and Rook-san. I promise I will do my best despite my unfortunate circumstances; please bear with my presence for a while." You lifted your head only to see Rook wiping the tears from his eyes while Vil frowned at his behavior.
"Such a wonderful speech! Y/N-san. The curse you alone must face, the pain and sorrows you must endure, I truly hope you reach your happy ending, Mademoiselle little flower. Beauté, Marvelous!"
You chuckled uncertainly before turning to Vil with a smile. "If you excuse me, Housewarden, you bowed once more while Vil nodded. "Of course you must be exhausted, do you not? Rest; your complexion wouldn't do you any favors if you stayed up late." Somehow you had a feeling that not even a few minutes after you had gone into your bedroom, you'd fall asleep on the ground. Thankfully, your roommate was away for a while.
You smiled one last time before you left, leaving the two of them in the lounge. Rook glanced at his housekeeper with a knowing look in his eyes. "So what do you think, Vil?" He put his hand on his waist while watching the said person feign ignorance.
"I suspect something, but it was too early to tell. I suggest we monitor her for now; I'll be leaving now." Vil dismissed himself. His heels clanged on the ground before fading, leaving the vice-housewarden in his record.
"I do wonder."
Falling through his realm
Hi everyone! Thank you for reading this story. This was like my story Falling down to the Queen's roses. This was not a part 2 rather a similar to that concept. Keep in mind that you a reader is a half-fae like sebek. Thank you once again for reading this story. I really appreciate it very much.
Sypnosis: In which you got sent into another world where Maleficent or known as Malleus rule over the faeries.
How does one understand magic?" You wondered. You sat down under the protection of tall trees, away from the sun's gaze. You opted to spend your time at the library, but with exams coming around, the chairs would be quite full at a moment. Instead, you chose a spot on the botanical garden away from the students sight.
Despite being a magic-user, you still couldn't grasp the abilities of your magic. You were neither bad nor good at magic, but as you used it as a tool, you were slowly doubting if it was worth the effort.
"Does magic bring peace?" You mumbled once more, turning the pages onto another as you tried to read. Try as you might, you kept rereading the lines many times before giving up on your attempt. Instead, you gazed up high; the green leaves covered the bluish sky, yet you didn't mind the view. You closed your eyes and breathed in the fresh air, letting your head fall backward and hitting the wooden tree lightly. The leaves sway back and forth, lulling you to sleep. You were exhausted; helping your dorm for the upcoming school festival, having to use your magic for a long run, and staying up late just so you could finish your schoolwork was no easy feat.
Even as you slept, you picked up a crunch sound heading your way. Your response was to simply continue sleeping, hoping just a little they could leave. Yet they didn't. Slowly and surely, their foot made their way until they are an arm's distance from you.
"Tch, a herbivore from diasomnia is in my way, he growled. You fluttered your eyes and glanced at his figure, noticing his irritation. It seems you were at one of his hideouts. His silence continued once more, and his patience is wearing thin. You nod your head in greeting before plastering a smile on your face.
"Housewarden Kingscholar, can I help you?"
"Crawling away from my spot will help."
You sighed. "Is that so? Well, then, if you excuse me, you said, closing the book and standing up from the ground. His expression stayed emotionless, yet you didn't miss the way his eye twitched at your movement.
"What's wrong? A cat bit your tongue?" He taunted.
"None at all." You checked your belongings once more and tilted your head to look at him. You plastered a smile once more without any fight. He opened his mouth but closed it; he mumbled something under his breath and turned his back on you. You frowned in confusion before shrugging and leaving the garden. You passed by some familiar students and greet them, you hold some small conversation with Ruggie Bucchi alerting him where Housewarden Leona was and stride your way towards the mirror.
"Y/N, are you already heading back?"
"Vice housewarden Lilia. Yes, was the dorm still under preparation?" You paused in your tracks and greeted. Lilia's deep red eyes held joy; his lips curled up a smile and he nodded.
"Indeed, but it was almost done. It was fun designing the main area, did it not?" He put the back of his hand to his chin and closed his eyes, chuckling.
You shared his joyous expression and agreed. For once, the dorm was filled with more noise than before. It was usually quiet every time you came back, yet you didn't mind the change. For a while, the two of you stood there talking until you noticed the clock nearby.
"I should get back soon; I wouldn't hold you back from your duty, Vice-Housewarden Lilia."
He chuckled lightly and patted your shoulder. "Ow, don't be so formal, Y/N,
We are both in our third years. Call me Lilia."
"Ah, well then, Lilia-san. I wished you the best of luck." You fumbled your words at the sudden request before smiling.
"You as well. Stay safe, Y/N."
He returned your words and left you on your record. You turn around and
Head your way towards the mirror and step in.
But something is wrong.
.
Your magic.
.
.
Is bursting with mana engulfing your whole body.
.
.
It hurts so much.You could feel your magic slipping by. Your vision was distorted as you fell down in pain. Whimpering in pain, you tried to use your pen whispering some magic spells but to no avail. Even the world around you seems to be shaking. Your body couldn't handle anymore and blacked out in an instant.
When you woke up, your head was aching. 'Where was I? ' You rubbed your temple to ease the pain. At the very least, you still wear the uniform, and your magic pen is by your side. But you feel empty. The magic running through your course was nonexistent, as if it weren't there at all. Your heart thumps against your chest as you breathe.
You lost your magic.
No, it must be something. After all, you were exhausted.
You reasoned. You calm your nerves and focus on the bright side.
Yet... Why do you feel as if it won't come back?
A half-fae turn human now.
No, don't even think about it. You comfort yourself more before turning around and looking at the surroundings. The sun was replaced by the moon shining on the ground, and you wondered how many hours had passed. You note how everything differs from NRC's. The air was much colder than diasomnia, and the area wasn't supposed to be wide. There shouldn't be a castle in the distance or thorn walls creeping from the side. You concluded you were neither in Diasomnia nor at NRC.
Where are you?
You didn't have time to grasp everything when strange soldiers headed your way. Your eyes widened, and you turned to run. You couldn't believe your luck; what made them want to capture you?
"A human! Quick capture her!" one of the soldiers ordered, earning them to yell in agreement.
"Wait, I-" Huffing, you maneuvered your way, dodging their attacks, and almost fell down when they released a rock mere meters away. You tried to use your magic, but it was still useless. Your attention was on your pen, and failed to noticed a newcomer in front, you bumped into them and fell to the ground.
"What a surprise, human. You boldly went your way here despite the dangers lurking around."
Lilia?
"Lilia-"
Your vision was suddenly covered with a cloth, and your heart pounded as you heard the swishing sounds of bats swarming around you, carrying you in the air. You squeaked and tried to swat them away, but they held on enough that it could have hurt had it not been for the long sleeve of your uniform.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you." His amused voice filled your ears, and you couldn't help but compare them earlier; his tone was much colder than before.
"Lilia-san, what is going on? Why aren't we back at NRC? Could you please-"
"Stop asking questions. And its Vanrouge. Once we reach the king, you could give your statement to him." he sneered.
You shut your mouth when you notice a shift in the air. His tone was much colder than before. With that they continued. You relied on your ears, but the only sound you ever heard was multiple footsteps. Yet you could feel magic surging around you. You tried your magic once more, but it was the same as before. Nothing. For a while, they cackled and chat around. You couldn't hear Lilia at all. You dreaded everytime they stop from their tracks. Your nerves gets the better of you as you thout about the king.
Would he be lenient?
Without warning, the cloth on your eyes was suddenly pulled down. You blink your eyes adjusting them before meeting the gaze of the one sitting on a throne. He was already staring at you.
"My king, we have brought a human near the wall." Lilia lowered herself towards the ground, his head tilting downward as he greeted his king. You gasp as you took in the figure. His green-slitted eyes, his cool-black hair was longer than before, and instead of a school uniform, he wore a robe covering most of his body and a bit of the ground. He still had his horns, but what shakes you the most is his stare. It was much scarier than usual.
He looks at you as if your words may fail you or approve your worth under his command.
And you know he will.
Taking a deep breath, you whispered your blessings to the seven. And slowly speak with the king.
"Your Majesty-"
And its done! Stay tune for more~
Heyyy Im glad I had come across your blog back then and so far I've been loving all your stories and uhhh if by any chance can I request something? Can you make a Malleus x Reader? Wait let me get into detail about this request
Could you do A fic on whereas Malleus and Yuu as like Gabriel and Emilie Agreste from Miraculous ladybug? (Sorry if this is weird) Like Yuu went on a coma due to attempt assassination after she gave birth to their child because the nobles refuse to accept that the heir is half human and after that Malleus drastically change to the point he wasn't that much present to their child's life, leaving the said child to be in Lilia , Silver and Sebek's care while he (Malleus) busied himself to find the cure to wake Yuu up from her slumber.
Pls if you ever decided to do this make it a happy ending! Where Yuu wakes up and their family is whole again🤗❣️
Avatar
Omg thank you for requesting, it was actually amusing when malleus would be playing as gabriel though. So about your request, I would like to change some of the detail like Malleus child. Plus I want Malleus not technically out from his child's life and soo I hope this request makes you smile! Brace yourself for the long fanfic.
The king roared in anger. The stone walls of the castle rumbled under his hold. The air grew colder as the nobles continued their plea to their king. On the throne, Malleus sat with his slitted eyes glowing coldly. He gripped his staff with strength, and his aura was growing more intense.
Silence befell the nobles before one of them could no longer handle it and begged for forgiveness.
"Please forgive me, my King!"
The others followed suit, but the king wordlessly stared down below his feet. Lilia watches the scene unfold before offering an alternative punishment, which the king refuses.
Malleus stood up from his throne, his heels clanging into the pavement as he made his way towards the frightened nobles. Malleus lifted his staff, whispering the spells under his breath. He pointed in their direction, the tip of the staff slowly beginning to light up. Amidst his fury, warm memories soon drifted into his mind. Yuu's smile and laughter filled his ears. Malleus lowered his hold, and his eyes softened.
The nobles slowly rejoiced in their king's benevolence; they lifted their heads towards their king only to see him lift his staff once again devoid of emotions.
"If you think I will let you all be, all of you are mistaken. You have taken my Queen's grasp from my hand. In my honor, I shall bestow you a gift for the rest of your life." Malleus staff started to glow. "Fret not; your heirs will not inherit the gift I have bestowed upon you."
The nobles grasped their chests in pain the moment the king's magic struck them at once. The castle walls were filled with screams as they whimpered in pain. The king merely stared at them, unfazed, before leaving them behind. His footsteps clang on the ground as he moves hastily. Lilia, who stayed behind, dismissed them on his behalf.
The grieving king stood by his beloved's side. The moonlight illuminating the figure laying on a casket, Yuu's skin was still fresh, and her chest slowly rose and fell as if she were just asleep. Malleus watches Yuu with a forlorn smile. He held her hand, caressing it until he held it between his lips. He closed his eyes as wet tears gently fell on his face.
"My beloved Yuu, what shall I do in order for you to wake up by my side?" he softly whispers.
The room was silent for a while. Malleus gaze never left her side, even if the door creaked behind him. A small light shone behind the door as another figure entered the scene. Malleus paid no attention to the third party as they silently made their way behind him. They patted his shoulder, comforting him, and instantly Malleus knew who was behind.
Lilia's face held a sympathy expression as he continued to pat Malleus shoulder, and silence continued once more. Malleus dropped Yuu's hand back into her chest, still gazing at her. His voice called for Lilia.
"Lilia, may I request that you take care of my child until his mother recovers?"
"Pardon?" Lilia was baffled, not by the latter but by the king's last words."
"My child needs their mother; without her, we have nothing." Malleus continued. Lilia shook his head as he moved to his side.
"No your child needs you as much as his mother. Malleus, Yuu would want you to spend time with your child, with or without her." he reasoned, but Malleus paid no heed to his words. He finally lifted his head towards Lilia who took notice that the king's eyes no longer held a light between them.
"Not today Lilia, please leave us."
Lilia fell silent. He bowed to both his majesties, floating towards the door until he glanced behind him.
"My king, if you need us, you know where to find us."
He assures the king but his sole focus remains on the sleeping figure while the sky grows dim.
~~~

Lilia held the baby in his arms, marveling at how delicate the baby was. He reminisced about the old times when the two of his children were as young as the little one. He coed as they cried before he heard a knock from the door announcing an arrival.

Silver opened the door, followed by Sebek as they went inside. Silver and Sebek's stares were enough to pinpoint what they wanted to know. Lilia smiled sadly, watching as their expression changed similarly to his own.

"It seems we will be the ones raising this child for a while." They all knew his words were half the truth. Silver turned his gaze toward the child, holding their hands like they were made of glass.

"Father, I would like to help you." He declared. Lilia smiled, grateful for his son before the two looked at Sebek with anticipation in their eyes. Sebek frowned at their attention, also turning his head to the baby while his eyes softened as they slept.

"To their majesties child and a fellow half-human."

They chuckled at his words before Lilia lifted the baby up in the air. "May you grow into a strong person just as your mother wants it."

~~~
Years have gone by, and the baby has grown into a boy. They all took turns raising him. Raising him both in fae and human culture and simply giving his childhood to one considered normal They of course let him know who his parents were, and Lilia had to excuse his father's disappearance in his early childhood. The boy took this lightly and simply assumed his father was merely busy because he had to manage the whole kingdom.
On an evening day, while playing with Lilia. The boy stumbled upon a cloaked, horned figure staring at a statue in the garden. The boy curious as to who's statue he was looking at, peak his head in that direction, and a smile graced his face. His eyes knew no fear as his short legs carried him towards the figure. He tugged on his cloak, earning the unknown man's attention from above. The man lowered his head as he stared at the boy's big doe-eyes.
The boy noticed the similar horns on the stranger's head. He greeted him with glee and asked for his name. The man simply said to call him whatever he wished. The boy narrowed his nose in focus, huffing his cheeks. The man's eyes widened for a fraction before he continued to gaze at him. He was reminded of someone he really knew.
The boy's eyes lightened, and he gleefully exclaimed, "Father! You remind me of my father, Grandpa Lilia mentioned!"
The man lowered his upper body, and the air shifted to a colder temperature. The boy's expression stayed unawavering, while The man who now noticed the small horns resting on his head, froze at the sight.
The boy was about to question him when another figure joined them. Lilia stood there with wide eyes as he recognized Malleus form. He urges the boy into Silver and Sebek's care while he stays behind.
He turned to Malleus, who watched the young boy disappear with familiarity.
"How does it feel to see your child grow into a boy?"
"I pity him. His mother wasn't by his side."
Lilia couldn't help but scrutinize Malleus words. "May I remind you that you needed to be in your son's life? Yuu wouldn't want to see you still grieving and leaving your child in the process."
"I did not leave him! He needed his mother in his life. Please, watch him. I will cure his mother as soon as possible."
Lilia knew Malleus wouldn't visit his son for a very long time. But he knew that if he didn't do anything, the father-son relationship would strain.
"Malleus, I know you are busy, but please try visiting your son every once in a while." He gave the advice one last time before following the trio to the garden, leaving Malleus behind.
"Our son, Adrius..."
~~~

Malleus gaze rested on the sunrise outside his castle. His eyes held a strange emotion as Lilia reported to his king. He noticed how distant he was and asked his king.

"My king if you don't mind, what troubles you?"

Malleus broke out of his revery and turned his head towards Lilia. He studied Lilia for quite some time before sighing. "Nothing too concerning."

"It is concerning if you look so thoughtful, Malleus." Lilia smiled and shook his head. "Was it about your son?"

"I suppose I was." Malleus admitted.

Lilia almost falls forward in surprise. He collected himself and coughed fakely. He peered into Malleus eye before bowing. "Your majesty, if I may, may I ask you to join your son's dinner this afternoon?"

Malleus for one, looks more thoughtful for the suggestion than earlier. He slowly tilted his head, and that was enough for Lilia.

"I will." He replied. Lilia bowed once more and turned his back to Malleus with a grin on his face.

Lilia barged into the young boy's room, surprising the boy as he fell back from the floor holding a book in hand.

"Gr-grandpa?!"

"Adrius! Get ready, dear! Your father will be joining you for dinner!" Lilia lifted the boy and grasped his hands, jumping up and down. Adrius eyes widened, and his face lifted in joy. He joined Lilia's enthusiasm, squealing. Silver and Sebek burst into the room with swords in hand.

"What's wrong?!" Silver yelled before silence befell the two. They watched his father and Adrius jumping in excitement before turning their heads in their direction.

"Malleus would be joining Adrius for dinner! Silver! Sebek! Please prepare the casket; I'm dying in happiness!"

"C-Calm down father, you are not dying yet."

~~~
"Tell me how are you?" Malleus asked his son after they sat down and ate. It was silent, neither of them knew what to say until Malleus went first.
"Oh um, I'm doing great, grandpa Lilia, uncle Silver, and Sebek teach me how to use a sword, and I'm learning the piano!" Adrius gleefully exclaimed. Malleus let out a small smile and nodded. "You did well."
~~~

Footsteps clanged on the ground as they made their way towards the throne room. A boy of fifteen years of age bowed on the ground as they greeted the king.

"Your majesty, I have come bearing good news."

Malleus smiled and stood up from his throne. He made his way toward his son and patted his shoulder. The boy lifted his gaze and stood up with gratitude in his eyes.

"No need to be formal, Adrius. Let's hear it on the way towards the garden, shall we?"

Adrius nodded his head, and the pair left behind the throne.

~~~
"Huff* Huff* We should take a few minutes break." Silver command.
Adrius waited before the others left; Silver noticed him and motioned for him to come. Adrius went to his side with questions in his eyes.
"What was mother like to father?"
Silver turned to face him, watching how Adrius eyes seemed a little distant. "Just like we have mentioned before, she was brave and hardworking-"
Silver paused, realizing he was mentioning her characteristics, before continuing, "She was his everything. She was the one who approached Malleus when no one would."
"Malleus loved her dearly from the moment they met. Yuu was his Queen. The lady was a kind person and a trickster like you." Lilia piped in and ruffled Adrius hair.
"He was lost without her." Lilia pinches his cheek as Silver stands by from the side, nodding in agreement.
"But now he has you."
~~~

"Your mother lay in this casket for years. She collapsed on the day you were born." Malleus softly said. His son, Adrius, furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and hurt.

"So, she got into a coma because of me?" He questioned. Malleus shook his head as he patted his shoulder.

"No, she collapsed because of an attempted assassination. She gave birth to you earlier that day. Her body hadn't had a chance to rest when the nobles planned their assassination. And they almost succeeded.""

Malleus voice began to whisper, "I failed. I was not on her side when they slipped inside and attacked the Queen. I have failed us." His hand fell to his side, and he turned away from his son. He moved towards where his beloved was.

"She would be so proud of you. She would still be here, watching you grow up, but she didn't because of my mistake."

Adrius moved towards his side and held his hand. Mallus turned to his son, who held a smile despite everything he had said. "She wouldn't blame you, she loves you, and I too."

"I don't blame you, father."

Malleus eyes softened. His son didn't notice a teardrop rolling down on his father's cheek as he smiled at his mother with sincerity in his eyes. Adrius was content. Malleus watched his son with a soft smile.

"Thank you, my son."

~~~
Malleus held his beloved's hands once more. He told his beloved about their son, who was sixteen years of age. He recounts the day they spent together, proud of his son who was growing into a handsome boy. After a while, Malleus sadly has to leave for his duties.
"I would come back my Love." He promised. Holding her hand one last time with magic swirling around them.
Malleus closed the door behind him and left. Unbeknownst to them, Adrius also visits his mother each day. Miraculously, the two of them hadn't passed each other. Adrius sat on a chair beside the casket with happiness in his face.
"Mother, I have never been happier to spend time with father. He was attentive for more than a year in my life." He paused. "Though he still had a faint sadness in his eyes, He was starting to change for the better." He holds her hand, his palm starting to glow.
"We miss you."
~~~

"Tsunotaro? Lilia? Silver? Sebek?" A voice called out from the shadows, their white gown slowly emerging. The five of them turned towards the voice with alarm in their eyes. Adrius squints his eyes before his expression changes. Malleus fled down from the throne and made his way towards the figure. The figure gasped in surprise as Malleus held them in his arms. Lilia and Silver smiled while Sebek sobbed for his majesties. Adrius slowly walked towards his parents and joined their hug. Yuu's eyes turned to Adrius, and her hand caressed his hair. Her eyes glistened, and tears started to fall from her face. Malleus held them both as he quietly cried.

"Welcome back my love."

~~~
"You did what?!" Yuu's scream echoed around the garden as Malleus lowered his head, ashamed.
"It is what you have heard, my Love." Malleus admitted.
Yuu couldn't help but slap him across the face. The four bystanders gasped in shock. They silently walk away from the couple, leaving them behind.
"Malleus, how could you? You left our child! Do you know how hard it was to be alone without the love of your parents?!"
"Lilia, Silver, and Sebek help him grow love-"
"Yes they did because you left our child in their care without you by his side! a living parent!"
The four sat down outside the cabin and enjoyed the quietness until Adrius turned to look at Sebek with worry in his eyes. "How long do we have to wait for them?"
Sebek gave a knowing look in his eyes and nodded at something. "Soon, and we should leave them be."
"Very much so, we don't want an angry dragon coming into our way." They had an amused look in their eyes while Adrius dreaded what was coming next.
So if all of you are confused, I don't want Malleus to be cold towards his son, he maybe distant but that doesn't mean he care. Movie Gabriel agreste did better than series Gabriel. @worldussysblog Thank you for making a request and I hope you are safe from where you are~
Stay tuned~
Y/N's time was limited. They got a letter from Epel saying that her grandmother is ill. She and her parents were starting to worry, so she was beginning to pack to leave. She went into the forest with a heavy heart and shared the news with them. Lilia, who looked at her with a sympathetic gaze, hugged her, to which she was surprised by the gesture and returned it with all her might.
"I wish for your grandmother's health to recover. Until then, see you again next time, Y/N."
"Thank you, Lilia-san." Y/N couldn't help but cry softly in his arms while Malleus patted her shoulder. His silent support encourages her so much.
"Y/N, we are always here for you. Don't forget that, Silver softly said, earning the bird on his shoulder to twit in unison.
"WE SHALL WAIT FOR YOUR RETURN NEXT SPRING." Y/N couldn't help but chuckle at his statement before mumbling.
"Next spring..."
~~~

"Grandmama, we're back. Are you alright? Are you in any discomfort?" Y/N asked the moment she sat down beside her. Her parents were outside talking to their doctor while she went in.

"Grandmama, don't worry, I won't leave. I will be here, okay?" she whispered as she watched her grandmother move her head slowly to look at her. The state of hers breaks her heart. She clasps her hand into hers as she hums, just like she did to her when she was young.

~~~
Y/N took over her parents business while they were away. She saw Epel, who was sitting outside the shop while he stared at the scenery in front of him. He was bored. She chuckled before joining him outside. He glanced at her for a moment before grumbling.
"Augh, it's so boring out here! Didn't you get tired doing all this stuff?"
"Haha... No, I don't even have a choice. Even if I did, what choices do I have?"
"Grrr, fair point."
Y/N stared at the sky with a troubled expression, watching birds fly and go before remembering she had to go into the mail station this afternoon. But alas, she was on duty. She looked at Epel, and nervousness was starting to creep in.
"Epel?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you mind sending this to the mail station?"
Y/N handed the letter to a curious epel, who stared at the letter.
"Is this the guy you met at what you called the valley something?"
"Nice try, it was actually Briar Valley."
"Ah yeah, that! So a letter for your boyfriend?"
"Absolutely Not!"
~~~

To an aspiring knight, Sebek

How are you faring? I'm sorry for the delay; I was kept busy for the most part. For a while, I took over my parents business and had to run some errands. I was constantly asked to look for my younger brother while worrying about my grandmother, who was still ill. It was a stressful week, to say the least.

But enough about that; how was your hand? You said it hurt for a while; have you applied the ointments that I gave you? Please let me know; I worry.

From Y/N

~~~
Sebek read the letter one more time with a soft smile written in his face before carefully tucking it into his breastplate without anyone noticing, but Silver noticed his gesture and smiled softly.
"Was it from Y/N?"
"WHA?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, Sebek voiced, attracting Lilia and Malleus nearby. Lilia grinned before teasing Sebek, who was denying everything.
"Don't be so shy, Sebek; it was wonderful talking to a Y/N, don't you think so?" Lilia teases while Silver nods before adding.
"She also makes delicious food every time she comes here."
"Agreed, especially when she brings an ice cream with different flavors." Malleus joined while Sebek was flustered.
"I... I AGREE WITH YOU, WAKA-SAMA, THE FOOD SHE BRINGS IS NOT SO BAD!"
"So you admit that it was delicious?" Silver questioned.
"Of COURSE NOT!"
"Then why did you agree if it wasn't delicious?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"Fufufu, Sebek, don't be so shy and admit it, but who was better at cooking? Was it me or Y/N?" the three men look at Lilia's direction with a troubled expression. They soon both look at Sebek, who was under pressure with Lilia's question.
"HUMAN'S COOKING COULDN'T EVEN COMPARE TO YOUR SPECIAL DISHES LILIA-SAMA! WHILE HER COOKING WAS DELICIOUS NOTHING COULD COMPARE YOUR UNIQUE INGREDIENTS! "
"..."
"..."
"..."
"He finally admit it."
~~~

Y/N was in trouble. Her dilemma last year was beginning to root again when, in a mere month, it was spring again. Her parents didn't seem keen on going; they started to fight a lot more than before while she cradled her brother in her room while they fought. After managing some business, checking up on her grandmother, and watching her younger brother, it really took a toll on her. She was really looking forward to going back to the Briar Valley, but that was on the brink of bleakness.

With a heavy heart, she wrote down the letter with care. She sent it the next day while the sky was cloudy.

~~~
Silver watches as Sebek reads the recent letter with furrowed eyebrows.
"What does it say?"
"She couldn't make it back next month."
"Ah..."
They were silent. "Will you make a response?"
"After our training! I can't afford to skip my time to serve Waka-sama!"
"Sebek! Won't you make a response?"
Silver stared at him. He watched how his expression changed with different emotions before sighing.
"I Don't know."
"Why?"
"I Don't know," he repeated. He crossed his arms and stared at the ground while Silver waited for his response. Sebek pursed his lips before replying.
"I suppose it was because I don't know how to respond." For once, Sebek's voice was quiet. Silver patted his shoulder, offering him comfort.
"She would be back next spring, would she not?"
"She would."
"Then let's wait for her again, just like last year. Won't you?"
"Hrrgh, I supposed."
~~~

Months have gone by again, and Y/N this time saved her money in case her parents didn't plan on going. She was fourteen and about to be fifteen in a few months. Her grandmother was doing fine after a year of treatment. She stood by her side, watching her progress, and relief washed over her when she was finally released.

She helped her grandmother the best she could while watching over her younger brother. Her grandmother had an unknowingly serious look on her face as she stared at her granddaughter.

"Child, shouldn't you be at the Briar Valley this week?" Y/N stopped in her tracks as she stared at her grandmother with a wide expression on her face.

"Ah, I was planning to... But I would come back very quickly after a few days," She assures, but her grandmother only raises her eyebrows at her answer.

"You don't have to worry about us here, go have fun being at your youth, I will handle everything, don't worry about this old lady here, I will look after my youngest grandchild. Please, Y/N, my beautiful granddaughter." Her grandmama took her hands as she spoke softly while laying her forehead against hers, Y/N couldn't help but pause as she struggled to gulp down her sadness.

"Go, they are waiting for you."

Her grandmother whispered with a smile she knew so well. It was her expression when she was at her happiest, content, and complete. Y/N nodded, closing her eyes.

"Thank you, Grandmama."

~~~
Y/N knocked on the door, but no one answered. She was confused as to why it was quiet around here. She should have known, on the way here, it was dead silence. The animals that were scattered were nowhere to be seen. Sebek and Silver, who were often around at this time, were not present. With a downcast expression, she was about to go back when she recognized the two birds flying in her direction. They flap at her with glee. Y/N brushed her fingers against their feathers, asking where the two were. The birds looked at each other before flapping their wings. She had a troubled look on her face as she didn't understand before she felt a nudging on the back of her head.
She craned her neck and saw a horse neighing behind her. The birds flew to the horse's head before tweeting loudly. Y/N took it as a sign to sit on the horse's back before making its way somewhere else. She was nervious, she didn't know which direction it was heading from, but she trusted it was where the two were. Her surroundings changed into an opening field, stopping only when a mansion came into view. She got off the horse and caressed the birds before walking into the mansion door. She paused, debating whether to knock or not. But she knew she couldn't come back for nothing, so with little determination, she knocked on the door.
She waited. But no one seems to answer. Sighing, she tried again with a little force before moments passed and it opened. Behind the door, she was greeted by a tall man who had the same characteristics as Sebek. This would be Sebek if he got older.
Y/N was speechless for a while before asking. "Ah... Is Sebek here?"
The man watches her with curiosity in his eyes. Y/N grew nervous at his intense eyes before they flashed with recognition.
"You must be Y/N am I right, young lady?"
She nodded in confirmation. The man opened the door, letting her walk in before closing it behind her. Y/N took in her surroundings and stared at the large painting hanging on the wall. It was Sebek with his whole family. This must have been made when he was just a boy back then.
"Y/N?" a familiar voice called out.
"Silver?" Y/N couldn't help but feel relief as she caught sight of Silver, who had droopy eyes from all of his sleepiness. Y/N chuckled whilst thinking he had not change a bit.
"Welcome back, I'm sorry I didn't get your letter."
"Oh no, I didn't send it recently. It was supposed to be a surprise, but it got backfired." She sheepishly rubbed her neck while looking around before turning to the tall man and bowing. Mumbling her thank you before he nodded. He turned to Silver and expected him to see their guest, to which he expressed his gratitude. Y/N watches their interaction before the tall man leaves. Silver noticed her fascination in her surroundings but her eyes tells a different story. He shake his head his head knowingly as he waited for her question.
"Ah, is Sebek here?" she asked as she lifted her head slightly to look at him.
"Sebek is at the library for a moment; would you wish for me to accompany you there?"
"No need, I could go there myself." she refused. Silver then pointed the hallway on his left causing Y/N eyes to follow.
"Straight up ahead before turning left, there is a big door, one that is very different from the smaller ones you would pass by, that is the library." he instructed, watching how different emotions showed in her eyes before she smiled.
"Thank you so much, Silver."
"No, thank you Y/N for coming, it was the least I could do."
~~~

She opened the door knob, making a creaking sound while she pushed it inside. She breathed in the warm, dusty, woody air from the inside and went in.

"Sebek?" She called, but no one answered. She closed the door behind her, slowly walking around as she took in the number of significant books on the shelves. Her hands moved to the book spine, sliding her eyes as she read the titles. At the end of the books, she noticed a figure lying in the window nook. There he was. Sebek had a soft expression on his face, it was very different when he was awake. The book was resting on his chest while he inhaled and exhaled softly as the light illuminated his figure. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her chest, and she couldn't take her eyes off him.

He changed. He was no longer the boy she met two years ago. His face also changed to a mature one, his physique was much more bulkier than before, and she could tell he was taller than her now. She slowly and carefully walked towards him, careful not to wake him up as she did. When she was at his side, she carefully pulled the book from his chest and was about to place it on the table near him when a hand shot up and held her wrist. Her eyes fluttered to Sebek quickly thinking he was awake, but he wasn't. He was the same as before, but his grip said otherwise. 'Is this one of his reflexes? She wondered. But she tried her luck and whispered his name, but his soft snore indicated he was still asleep. Y/N chuckled with a soft expression on her face. Before wiggling her wrist from his hold but to no avail.

She sigh and resigned into her fate while got comfortable at the chair near the window nook. His eyebrow furrowed as he mumbled incoherently. Y/N watches his form before humming a tune as she caressed his temple. She moved her head closer to his, her hair curtains the side of his face as she mumbles softly.

"Sleep tight my dear knight."

Hurrayy part 4 was finished, only one more to go! I had some major changes into the ending, often changes it before, sorry for the inconvenience!

But thank you all for enjoying this sebek x reader as much as I do I really, really, really, appreciate your support! I truly do!

For part 1

Y/N kept coming back for days. Silver didn't seem to mind and welcomed her; Sebek,  on the other hand, always greeted her rudely, to which she teased him mercilessly. Before long, they had become friends, or so she thought. She watched them train every day and always gave them something to eat afterwards with her. Their conversation mainly focused on his highness malleus and their appreciation from where they had come from. She was happy.

That being said, she wondered where their instructor was when they were training. Y/N has come here for days, nervously waiting to see if they finally revealed themselves and banned her from coming. Watching how Silver and Sebek trained, she knew it wasn't an easy task, and she was afraid that her being here was distracting them. One time she asked Sebek, who was drinking water after a rigorous training session, about their instructor and where he was.

"He is master Lilia Sama! Lilia Sama is talented in swordmanship! He is currently serving young master- " and there he goes.

After some time, y/n waved goodbye to the both of them once more before leaving with a small smile on her face. Maybe visiting here wasn't so bad after all. Just as she thought about that, she was overwhelmed with anxiety. It was running late. The sun was long gone, replaced by the moon shining up in the sky. It was the first time for her to be this late, but she couldn't help it. She fell asleep. Silver and Sebek didn't wake her up because they thought she hadn't had enough rest, so they let her. After she had awoken, she didn't want to be escorted back into her abode, but at the moment, she really wishes she had taken Silver's offer to be accompanied. Alas, there was nothing she could do.

She gripped the basket in her hand and walked quickly. She could hear footsteps following her from behind. Sweat was starting to form in her face, and then she stopped. She turned around and was about to smash them with the basket until she noticed those familiar eyes.

"Geez, human! Slow down for a minute!" his voice boomed, panting while allowing himself to take a deep breath. Y/N sighed in relief before moving her hand away. She chuckled at herself for being jittery and paranoid.

"For a human, you run so fast."

"It was because I'm taller than you, shortie."

"Grr, someday I'll grow taller!"

"Sure, sure, I'll hold onto that."

He glared at her. Having her insulting his height, he was pissed. Y/n merely laughed and ruffled his hair. This added to his annoyance and swung her hand.

"Would you stop that? Here, you forgot about this you stupid human! " He held out a book. She couldn't see much because of the darkness, so she could only rely on the texture. She positioned herself where the night sky was shining and recognized her book. Sebek followed her so he could return this; he couldn't even wait for her to return it tomorrow. But then again, it was a relief. She wasn't alone.

"Thank you, Sebek." She smiled genuinely. For a moment, time simply slowed for Sebek. He noticed her glowing in the moonlight. Her eyes held a sincere emotion that he couldn't fathom. It reminded him of his father.

"Your...welcome." was all he could reply. They thought they were the only ones in the area, but someone's been watching them from behind since the beginning.

"Fufufu, I wonder."

~~~
The next week, y/n was running late. Usually she has come as early as sunrise, but sleep consumed her yesterday, so much so that she slept like there was no tomorrow. She was on her way to meet the two when she noticed an elf-ear person standing near the river.
He was in deep thought while looking at the reflection below. He was tall, she noted. She also noticed how his aura was emitting great magic. Curious to who he was, she stands there watching him for a moment, only for him to move his head in her direction. Surprised at being caught, she began walking away to avoid him when she heard him chuckle.
"I'm afraid they are in that way." She paused, confused as to why he knew who they were talking about. Y/N saw where he was pointing and immediately moved in that direction before stopping in her tracks. She turned to him and bowed.
"Thank you, good sir."
"Your welcome."
~~~

Y/N was clumsy. She didn't notice a tree branch on the floor, thus giving her scrapes on her legs after she fell. She checked the foods and exhaled happily when none of them were damaged. She really wasn't herself just now. That being said, she carefully made her way to where the two were supposed to be, avoiding tripping when a scream broke her focus.

"Move away!" She didn't have time to react when suddenly she was pushed onto the floor with a person's weight hanging above just her. She groaned in pain and exasperation. This really wasn't her lucky day.

"Hrrgh, whatever was on top of me, please get up; I can't breathe," y/n pleaded, patting the person while they shifted.

"Human, are you alright?" Sebek's voice rang in her ears while she cried in frustration.

"I would if you got up, please!"

~~~
The four of them sat down on a blanket she had brought. Y/N was thankful more when the food was unscathed for the second time; after Sebek's action, she truly believed the food would be in chaos inside. After opening the basket, she sighed in relief. She would really go crazy if it did. Hunger makes you different.
Their instructor joins them for dinner; this is the first time she has seen him. He was really different from what she had imagined. Based on Sebek's description, she expected him to be strict and serious; his appearance must be buffed from all the training. Yet here he was. He was lean, to say the least. He also had a humour, often joking around about sebek and silver when they were little, silver often added he's own fair shares about lilia's mischief revealing how him and sebek were so scared that they hold into each other trying to stay awake, in the end silver falls asleep betraying sebek in the process.
"Tell me, who cooks all of this food?" admittedly with all of the stories and bickering. Lilia questioned Y/N while Silver and Sebek continued to interact. Y/N noticed Lila-San's stare, and she started to get nervous.
"Ah, my maman. Sometimes I help her in the kitchen," she said. Lilia hummed in response before nodding to no one in particular. Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in suspicion but didn't question.
"Y/N-san, may I ask if you are free next weekend?" Lilia asked once more with a smile on his face. Y/N blinks her eyes before shaking her head.
"I am afraid not. And even after that, my parents decided to move back to our house back at Shaftlands."
"When will you come back?" y/n and Lilia turn to look at Sebek, who listens to their conversation. Y/N looked thoughtful for a while before smiling softly at all of them.
"The next spring."
~~~

"We will miss you a lot, Silver mumbled. Y/N smiled politely in response. She managed to seize this opportunity despite packing to leave for the afternoon. She wanted to come and say goodbye before she left. But it seems the other companion has a different agenda today. This didn't go unnoticed by Silver.

"Sebek is back in the forest. Want me to go after him?"

"No need; thank you very much. Please tell him I said goodbye." Silver nodded. Dozing off soon after. She chuckled before getting startled by Lilia, who was hanging in the air upside down beside her.

"Fufufu, I wished you a safe journey, Miss L/n. I hope to see you soon." amused by her reaction. He took pity on her by simply floating by her side. She nodded happily before waving them goodbye. Silver gave a small wave and a short nod, while Lilia waved his hand vigorously.

Y/N hums to herself while she watches the sky above. She couldn't believe weeks had gone by since that faithful day. And she was glad she did. Now she didn't want to go back, but alas. There is still next year. Her humming came to an end when she heard a running sound behind her. She turned around to look and was surprised to see Sebek had come.

"Sebek?! What are you doing here?"

"I have come to give you this." She looked down at his hand to see a book lay on top of his palm, reminding her about the time he returned her book. After the event, they spent their time talking about books other than his highness. Though he still always mentioned his highness, their love for books was on another level. Recommending after recommending: They enjoyed their time together despite throwing spiteful remarks here and there.

"Oh, I bet you would love this one," y/n remarked, passing him the book while giggling.

"Seriously? A book about crocodiles?"

~

"What am I even doing here instead of training?! You force me to do your bidding, human!"

"Hush now, Sebek; don't pretend you didn't like the library enough to come back."

~

"Oh, is that about a knight falling in love with a princess?"

Sebek perked up from her statement and exclaimed, "You knew this story?!"

"Geez, not so loud, but yes, I think. I forgot the most part."

"Well, listen carefully; I'll only tell these ones."

Y/N hums in response before sitting down next to Sebek as she listens.

~

"The princess and the knight?" she asked, but she still took the book nonetheless. Sebek smirked and nodded.

"Of course, you should be grateful for my thoughtful gift!"

"Low and behold, haha," she mumbled before chuckling, much to his dismay. She hugged the book to her chest and felt content. At least she got her final goodbye wishes from him.

"Thank you, my dearest knight, for your service. I sincerely wish for your achievements to come forth in the next seasons to come." y/n courtesy while spoking the lines of a character only they knew.

"I shall wait for you here for your next return," he said, returning the gesture.

Feeling content and happy. She moved back with her parents to the village of Harvest while thinking of them every single day. She wondered what they would be doing now that she was gone, but she knows they are still training as ever.

She couldn't wait to go back.

His Human

Y/N's parents often vacation with her in a cabin near the woods every spring. The young girl, no less than twelve years old, shares a little excitement about going into the cabin every year. While she worries about dangers in the forest, her parents don't seem to worry; in fact, they even encourage her to explore, much to her dismay. Despite their nonchalance, she wasn't keen on going outside, preferring to stay indoors and read in the library all day. After much convincing from her parents and promising to buy her gifts, she finally agreed begrudgingly. Her parents showed happiness and praised her, hugging her tightly. While she wondered why they were enthusiastic about her leaving. If they wanted her to leave, they could have just said so.

Y/N sighed and left the house with a basket and book in hand. The trees swayed slowly while the forest was empty. When she walked in, she expected to see many small animals in the area, such as rabbits, birds, squirrels, and more. But she was alone. Her footsteps were the only noise. She didn't pay much attention and only hummed while searching for a place to lay down. To her luck, she found a lake leading to a spot nearby perfect for laying; the sun wouldn't be a problem, but the most perfect one is.

She laid down her basket and sat beside it. The view. One thing she notices is that the view here of the castle of the fairies is magnificent. Admiring the scenery, she reluctantly turned to her book before delving into the pages until the sun was setting.

The next day, she came back with a blanket, papers, and a quill. She was taking this time to write for her grandmother and a friend who was living in the village of Harvest. When she went back home yesterday, her parents were overjoyed once more, to the point of making her snacks more than usual. She couldn't help but puzzle at their reactions but nonetheless shook her head in response. Her hand took out a piece of bun from the basket while she was writing and began eating when she suddenly heard voices in her left side. Her eyes moved in that direction as she watched the bushes shake violently while the voice grew louder.

"I swear I smelled delicious food around here; just let me prove it to you, oh!" Their eyes met. Her eyes widened as she stared at his yellow-green slit eyes. Both look so shocked at each other, to the point of freezing from where they stand. They stood there for a good few minutes before he, the boy around her age, looked down at what she was holding and furrowed his eyebrows.

"What are you going to do with that?" the boy questioned. Y/N looked down at where he was pointing, and embarrassment started to creep on her. Unbeknownst to her, she uses the half-eaten bun as a weapon in his direction. A laughable choice indeed.

"Nothing. " was all she could reply before quickly removing the bun. They stayed silent until another figure emerged behind the boy, who was inches taller than him. She noticed the strange color of his hair and unique eyes but didn't comment.

"Sebek, if you wanted—oh hi." The other boy paused as he noticed her. Y/N waved shyly in his direction. He returned the gesture before apologizing that they may have bothered her. To which she disagreed and smiled politely.The person who was called Sebek furrowed his eyebrows more and crossed his arms while he assessed her. She, who didn't like being assessed, carefully watched him before making her move.

"If you would excuse me, I have business to attend to." She spoke, drained by this ordeal, and used this time to pack her belongings while thinking of moving to another place for a spot. Her little secret place wasn't so secret anymore. How sad that she likes this place, but oh well. The two boys looked at each other before a bicker started to take place.

"You really should apologize, you know."

"I didn't even do anything; I just stumbled into this place, okay?"

"I don't suppose my father would agree; walking into someone else's place was a boundary."

Y/N noted he was smart. And she bows to him mentally. Sebek made a hmp sound before mumbling something incoherently while she watched in disdain.

"I'm sorry, what was that?"

"Nothing of your concern, human; move along," he said loudly at that one. This irked her a little; who was he to order her around?

"Hmm, is that so? Well, I guess I have to put away these delicious foods I have here. Oh, what a shame." y/n knows no bounds. She tested his emotions by putting her hand in her cheek and sighed theatrically.

"I guessed if I don't eat them all, I might as well put them somewhere else."

"You!" he accused, but a grumbled sound echoed around them. The unique-eyed boy and y/n look in Sebek's direction with amusement dancing in their eyes. Sebek tensed, a blush emerging from his cheeks, and he screamed.

"Tch, what are you all looking at?!"

~~~
Sebek started to eat quickly while the other boy only sat by their side. The three of them sat down after the event, not uttering another word, when she noticed she still hadn't known their names. Sebek could be a nickname, for all she knows.
"Sorry for interrupting, but my name is y/n L/n. And you two are?" y/n introduced slowly. She watches their interaction by simply glancing at each other before Sebek gulps down his food while proudly exclaiming.
"I'm Sebek Zigvolt, and this is Silver, a knight in training to serve his great highness Malleus Sama." Y/N flinched at the volume of his voice but couldn't hide her excitement.
"Really?! As in the prince himself?!"
"Of course, human!"
"Not to you, you crocodile!"
"you!-"
Silver watches as they bicker with a smile on his face. It was a peaceful day.
~~~

"Ah, my, I apologize for staying here; do you two live nearby?" y/n asked after minutes of arguing with Sebek, finally switching to a sleepy silver who was surrounded by animals at his side. Y/N watches dumbfoundedly, amazed at how many animals are at his side at once, before petting a rabbit who launches at her.

"Not far from here, there is a cabin where I live with my father. Sebek, on the other hand, was merely visiting for training. And you?" he managed to reply despite the drowsiness enveloping him. Y/N merely chuckled and replied that she was also nearby with her parents.

"So what are you doing in this forest?" Sebek, despite their earlier debates leaving him in a sour mood, asked while cleaning the messes he made. Y/N paused for a short period of time, debating whether to tell him she was forced to explore the forest or bribed by gifts. She picked the latter.

"Oh well, my parents wanted me to explore the woods and simply chose this spot for my resting." straight to the point, or so she thought. Sebek nodded in response before noticing an inked piece of paper at the side.

"Hey, what is this?" he questioned before taking the paper into his hands. He didn't even look at the paper; he just stared at her before holding it out to her. Y/N appreciated his gesture and quickly folded the papers, placing the quill inside her pockets.

"Just a letter," she said, not indulgent him more, and soon looked up at the sky and was surprised to see how much time had passed. When she left, the sun was only at its peak, but now the sunset was at its highest.

"Well, I should head back now; it's getting late. I really enjoyed our conversation." She truly did; she smiled and waved at the two who waved her goodbye with a smile on their faces. Y/N turned to Sebek with a small smirk on her face.

"I would bring tomorrow a special meal just for you."

"Please do not ever return!"

She did return with a basket full of handmade foods her mother and she had made. Watching Sebek's expression when she truly came amused her. What an eventful day!

being reincarnated into a new world as the bad guy pt. 3

feat. Vil, Idia, Malleus

note: while can be interpreted as gn!reader the reader is reincarnated into a female villainess (especially obvious in Malleus’ part), reader is different for each character, I might write blurbs cuz I like the villain/ess genre

part 1 part 2 part 3

For heroes to succeed, a villain must fall. Novels, films, and games taught generations to never pity the wicked who stands in the heroine’s way, but you couldn’t bring yourself to follow these sentiments. Your heart goes out to the villains and villainesses who drowned in their grief, trapped in a heartless situation, and abandoned by their beloved. Why is it their fault they fell in love with someone who doesn’t love them back? Could their lives be different if given the choice?

“Why couldn’t they be loved too?” You had your final thoughts as you drifted to sleep, only to wake in a startling new yet familiar reality.

Where is this and why do they keep calling you by the villain’s name?

  • Someone pinch you, you must be dreaming, right? Not only were you in your favourite romance manga, but you were also the partner of the Vil Schoenheit, your absolute bias! Yes, he was technically the antagonist of the series and you were his indifferent partner, but you were on cloud 9.
  • The story was that your husband was envious of the admiration the male lead, Neige and his love interest seem to so easily gain in the social circle. Eventually, his envy drove him to poison his rival and scar the beloved hero, only to inevitably be caught and ostracized. The plot painted your husband to be a vain noble that couldn’t handle competition, but you knew how hard he worked and his genuine efforts to earn his title as the perfect noble.
  • You raked your brain trying to figure out how to save your beloved from his frankly unfair fate, but Vil and Neige are bound to meet frequently due to their titles as the most sought-after nobles in the kingdom. Your only hope was to stop your husband’s plot to poison the count’s son and save his image.
  • You reincarnated before this expected event and not wanting to ask your husband to not poison someone (no matter how handsome he’d be, that is not a look you want to see), you waited for that impending day in hopes to foil it.
  • But who said you couldn’t find some enjoyment? Afterall, you had the luxury of being in the same household as your favourite character. If you weren’t at the mansion helping as much as you can to ease the burden on your husband, you spent your time singing praises for your beautiful beloved to anyone who was willing to hear. Your consistent praise has been said to rival the famous count and Vil’s closest knight, Rook.
  • “He’s so amazingly patient with me, teaching me my duties as part of the Schoenheit family!” “He’s the image of grace and elegance! His cool eyes leave me in tears! Of happiness, of course!”
  • Vil was not blind to the change in his partner, but he doesn’t really question it as all he wanted from you was a partner that would not disgrace the family name. He ignored the feelings of warmth when you smiled at him every time you two passed by each other at home, as though he was the center of your whole world. He did ponder for a moment how strange it was that the innocent energy that Neige exude irks him was almost endearing when it was you. Speaking of which, why were you so close to that man?
  • Even if Vil is your favourite, you were a fan of Neige as well. He was as sweet as the story wrote and you learned that he admired your husband as well (the hours of appreciating Vil were frequent). Plus, being as close as you could give you a higher chance to stop the poisoning attempt. Unfortunately, high society was hungry for gossip, and you became their favourite treat.
  • “Have you heard, Schoenheit’s newest partner has their eye on the adorable count heir” “Like a moth, always attracted to the prettiest things~”
  • Vil knew not to take rumours seriously, but the whispers were fuel to the budding anxiety towards the beloved heir of the count. He saw how well-matched you were with the sweet raven-haired boy. He knew he would give you the time and care you deserved unlike himself who had to push you aside for the sake of his duties. He believed that you would be happier if you were separated from him for the obviously kinder man. He wanted you to be happy, he truly did.
  • But he still offered the poisoned glass of champagne to that wretched man.

Your face pale in dread. Your husband has never offered anyone a drink, much less his rival. He was pulled away by an acquaintance and now you were left with a heavy feeling in the pit of your stomach. The situation was too tricky to maneuver as all eyes were on the three of you. Knocking the glass is too inconspicuous and if left out too long, the drink would darken and be investigated, and your beloved will be the prime suspect.

You had to think fast. You had to work quick.

“Sir Neige, could I try your drink?” You smiled as sweetly as you could, hiding the nervous shake of your hands. “My drink is a bit strong for me”

Kind as he was, Neige exchanged your glasses without your husband’s notice. It only took a sip of this poison to take effect and the rest of the content would be tested and traced to the Schoenheit business. It presented as an allergic reaction when consumed but it was categorized as poison when investigated in pure liquid form. You had to do it.

Steeling yourself, you downed the drink to its last drop and stood back with a smile. It’s useless to run now so you’d have to stand there and be ready to act surprised.

You turned to see your husband, who locked his eyes with yours. You smiled in reflex, but tears were starting to fill your eyes as a burning sensation took over your throat. Before long, you felt unable to breathe freely. You cough erratically, dropping to your knees as you claw at your throat as a desperate attempt to ease the fiery pain you feel. The guards rushed to you as Neige panicked beside you, unsure of what’s happening. As your vision blurred and your conscious mind slipping away from you, you thought you heard someone scream out your name.

  • It had been a while since you reincarnated into this strange world. Were it not for the existence of magic and unbelievable creatures, you would alternatively think you went back in time instead.
  • You were “born” and raised in a family known for their strength. Members of your families have grown up to be either knights or battle strategists. You and your siblings were training rigorously as your kingdom was expecting an attack from an ambitious rival kingdom.
  • While your family were confident in your skills, you knew your family were worried over unpredictable obstacles, namely the vicious beasts hiding in the forest surrounding your kingdom. The royal family commanded the collaboration between your family and the Shroud family, famous for technological inventions beyond their time. That’s when you met their sons.
  • To say they’re different from most nobles you’ve met was somewhat of an understatement. Idia was fidgeting in his seat in front of you and your siblings, somewhat unbecoming of the heir but the most interesting is his brother who wore articles of what looked like metal coverings on his limbs and most notably the lower half of his face. You kept your mouth shut so as not to disrespect the brothers. Your siblings, mainly your tactless brother, was not as delicate.
  • “What is with your lazy posture?! And what is that crazy costume you have on??!” Your brother loudly exclaimed at the Shroud brothers which earned a sharp jab in the ribs by both you and your older sister. “What??”
  • As your sister dragged your brother out into the hallways, you took the chance to bow your head towards the Shroud brothers, apologizing for your brother’s rather brutish tone.
  • That surprised Idia, not the sudden exclamation of your brother but for you and your sister’s scolding over his actions. He’s used to people spewing insults towards him and his brother’s odd appearance but rarely do people apologize, especially families with such high status.
  • You stayed with the brothers, mainly chatting with the more talkative brother, Ortho until your family started their carriage ride home. Still, even when their mansion was out of sight, your thoughts drifted to the Shroud family, mainly the brothers. Their features were so unique and almost a work of magical art themselves, you weren’t sure if they caught you being mesmerized by their flowing blue flames of hair.
  • You couldn’t speak for your family, but you particularly enjoyed your visits to the Shroud family. You heard that Idia was inventing an aura radar that could help soldiers to detect the presence of magical beasts and you were impressed. But you were even more in awe when you found out he was creating a sort of battle simulation “game” using magic to project visual avatars and reviewing past battle strategies that you were happy to share with him.
  • “You never fail to amaze and captivate me, Idia. You are seriously incredible.”
  • “WH-WHAT?! You muscleheads seriously have no subtlety, suddenly saying all that!”
  • Idia’s mind almost becomes a disarray whenever you are here. Your forward nature leaves him a flustered mess with your honest heart and cavalier attitude towards personal space (though you do back away when asked, to his dismay relief). But he does appreciate that you seem fond of Ortho as he is to you. The younger Shroud gets excited when you offer to walk around with you, even though the both of you keep insisting the older brother to join. You were someone that is easy to love but he kept himself from falling for you because of your differences. No two people could be more opposite than you two, convincing himself that you can never be.
  • He was sure he could hold his feelings back, until he and his brother were invited to the send-off party by the royal family for the soldiers.

“Eeekk!! How horrid!” A noble’s daughter didn’t hide her disgust when she saw the younger Shroud brother. He typically kept his mouth guard, but he was too tempted to try the mouth-watering pastries at the party. He thought he was away from prying eyes, but he was unfortunately wrong.

“Oh my, those scars…how disturbing” More nobles gawked at Ortho while he tried to wear his mouth guard, but his frazzled mind couldn’t bring his fingers to hold still. His scars were remnants from the beast attack he barely escaped from, but high society was not sympathetic and he was pushed to hide his face and limbs.

More reactions were shared throughout the crowd, either faces of disgust or sneers. Idia who was lost in his own anxiety didn’t realize what the commotion was about until he was too late, and the crowd kept growing which kept him too far to reach his brother.

RRRIIIPPPP

A loud sound tearing cloth caught the onlookers’ attention and looked to the source of the harsh noise. You stood with your sleeve ripped from your once pristine uniform and your arm, littered with both old and new scars of various sizes.

“Do you have a problem with scars?” You almost growled your words as your gaze pierced through the attendees who looked away in fear, many physically backing away from the heat of your glare. “You all have the audacity to point at a child then call yourself of noble class?”

A few foolish souls attempted to speak back but your older siblings came to stand beside the youngest kin. Your brother sneered at them, purposefully making a show of reaching his sword and your sister, though silent, stared down at them letting be known that she won’t be stopping what may come next.

Idia was close to tears. He felt such a disconnect towards this entire kingdom for the longest time and his brother was his only light in his world. However, a different light came to him as he saw you wrapping your arms around his brother and escort him somewhere safer.

He fell hard and he can’t bring himself to hate it.

  • You failed to change anything. You were publicly ridiculed and your engagement with the crown prince was officially annulled. You tried so hard to protect your friendship with your betrothed so that you would hope that he could at least spare you and your family the humiliation.
  • Accusations were falsely proclaimed that you attempted to harm his true love and that your family wanted to usurp the current royal family. None of it was true but all of the most powerful and influential figures in the kingdom would rather believe the words of the mysterious transfer student than you. Afterall, she was the main protagonist.
  • Apparently in his highness’ “kindness”, your family will be ostracized from nobility and to renounce their valuables. You held your tears in the ballroom, but you couldn’t stop once you reached the empty garden, away from spiteful eyes. All of your careful steps and efforts to avoid the bad route in this accursed dating game was for naught as you still end up as the ill-fated rival for the protagonist to beat.
  • Once you calmed down, you finally realized a pair striking green eyes looking your way. You saw a tall fellow standing a few feet from you. It was your mysterious friend you met some time ago at this very garden. His tall stature and striking features were unmistakable. The garden was sparsely lit but he still glowed in his own way, almost otherworldly in a way.
  • “Dear human”
  • Years ago, your betrothed held a birthday party and you snuck away to be away from the judgmental stares and whispers of the nobles who idolized the prince but despised you. You walked aimlessly through the maze when a deep timber brought you out from your daze.
  • “I didn’t realize someone else was here” his deep voice startled you.
  • “I-I’m sorry I didn’t notice you there either. What brings you here?” You asked but the long-haired man didn’t reply, still observing you. You then had a thought. “Oh! Are you lost?”
  • You remembered how you kept getting lost in the royal garden and you imagine that this new noble was too embarrassed to say it. You put on an understanding smile and held out your hand. “Please, let me help you”
  • His eyes widened for a small moment before chuckling before accepting your hand. As you two weaved out from the maze of a garden, you pointed out the flora of the garden that the gardener taught to you and even the mysterious nobleman added his own factoids, especially on certain statues and gargoyles. Everyone you met either had greedy intentions or quietly berated you as the fiancé of the prince, so you laughed at the refreshing conversation.
  • After everything that day, you were grateful for this moment of sweet peace. You reach the entrance of the garden and while a little reluctant, you retract your hand away from the new man. Afterall, you were engaged and you could ruin this man if rumours were to come of this.
  • “Ah I never told you my name!” You realized a little late, introducing yourself before waiting for him to do the same.
  • “You may call me as you please” he surprised you again. Was he ashamed of his background?
  • You appraised his features, pondering on a name befitting this man who was beautiful but with a demeanor that was sharp and almost dangerous.
  • “How about Belle Amour? Like the flower” you said which managed a slight change in his expression as his eyebrows noticeably shot up before chuckling at your choice.
  • “I never knew humans like you could be so charming”
  • Since you two have been exchanging letters. Still as mysterious as ever, he instructed you to send your letters to the home of Duke Vanrouge and he or his son would deliver his. However, you chose not to question his methods as you worried his situation was a sensitive topic.
  • And now, you meet again in the same garden. You smiled at him through your glassy eyes, but he didn’t return the gesture.
  • “I didn’t know you were coming”
  • “I was invited, which was surprising”
  • “Ah, the crown prince must have invited everyone to announce his true love and how despicable I was” you let out a heartbreaking laugh at the harsh fate of the brokenhearted. Your dark-haired friend said nothing as he saw your shaking figure and your efforts to hold back tears from returning. You didn’t deserve this, he thought.
  • Your escort knight found you and urged you to return so you could discuss your family’s future. You let out a sad sigh and told him to ready the carriage and you’ll meet him at the castle’s entrance.
  • “Well, I’m happy at least. I got to see you for the last time” you forced a smile. You assumed that once you were a commoner there was no way a noble like him would ever contact you again. “Goodbye, Mr. Belle Amour”
  • He kept his eyes on you and you were tempted to wait if he wanted to speak more with you. When he stayed silent, you felt a little disappointed but left with a dignified bow, turning to make your way out of the garden, to your fate according to the world’s happy ending.
  • Once you were out of sight, a figure akin to a young child emerged from the other side of the maze and a few steps behind the taller man.
  • “Such misfortune to fall on a child. She and her family.”
  • “Lilia” the emerald-eyed man turned to him. “Have the men check the preparations once more. Tonight is the night”

When you reach the doors of your home, you barely register the figure of your parents as they immediately rush to your side. Their panicked and confused expressions hinted to you that they were informed of the family’s fate. As your parents asked you what happened at the party, you broke down into tears once more as you held onto your mother for support.

“Mother, I’m so sorry! The family is ruined because of me!” You cried into the older woman’s shoulders, begging for forgiveness.

Gently, your mother gently pulled you to face her. “What are you talking about? I was talking about the proposal”

Now you were the one confused. Your parents gestured you to the mountains of the gifts piled nearly from wall to wall near the entrance of your home. From the brightest of gems to the most extravagant of designer clothing were almost too much for your servants to handle as they tried to organize the seemingly endless presents.

“Duke Vanrouge’s son and his colleagues came with carriages of gifts, saying they were gifts for the family, asking for permission to court you in hopes of marriage on behalf of their master” your father explained as you surveyed each item. Your eyes landed at the large arrangement of flowers, a beautiful bloom of pink Belle Amour roses.

“Be careful, my lady!” One of your maids warned you. “Those roses have thorns!”

Despite her warnings, you reached out to find a small piece of parchment tied delicately to the stem of one of the roses. Carefully, you untied the letter from the flower and unfurled it to read:

My dear human, I will come to take you away soon.
