My personal headcanon is that the way Fae asks for their lover's hand in marriage is by weaving them a flower ring and proposing to them, they either cast a spell to not wilt or to change the flower ring regularly

So imagine the shock when you jokingly proposing to any of the diansomia boys with a flower ring

(This applies to qny of them, but i had silver in mind)

(Also just dumping my tjoughts here)

THIS IS SO CUTE I ☹☹

fuck ir this is so cutr im doing all of them

• sebek zigvolt

  • both of you were walking in the garden, while he was talking about how great malleus is, you busied yourself with a flower ring
  • it was a bit simple to make, you wondered if your half fae boyfriend would like your little creation
  • while he was still talking, you went in front of him and presented him the ring, making him stop for a moment.
  • his reaction was priceless, just a blank stare with blown eyes once he realized what it was LMAOOO 😭
  • "HUMAN! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, PROPOSING TO ME WHILE WE ARE STILL SCHOOLING?!"
  • "sebek what."
  • turns out you didn't know a thing about fae stuff and all that, he calmed down and accepted the ring
  • .. silver saw him staring at the wall blankly with tears running down his eyes before looking out the window, revealing you messing around with ace
  • he was a bit sulky once he found out you didn't know a thing about fae culture and actually thought you were proposing 😭🙏
  • keeps the ring on, you can see his flustered face whenever he walks around and lilia is teasing him about it

• silver vanrouge

  • as usual, silver was asleep in the garden. typical
  • while bored out of your mind, you decided to make a flower ring for your sleepy boyfriend so you can surprise it with him once he wakes up.
  • with your fingers delicately working on the flower and stickig it onto the ring, you felt silver wrapping his arms around you
  • his head resting on your shoulders as he asked what you were doing while he was still half asleep, his eyes widened a bit once seeing the object in your hands as you showed it to him.
  • "[name], are you sure you want to marry me? im not an ideal husband, but i can try to provide and such. if we were to have kids then-"
  • "silver wtf are you on about."
  • oh. yeah, you didn't know anything about fae customs.
  • he was taught about fae culture from lilia lolz, he embarrassingly hid his face from you as you put the ring on his gloved hand.
  • he wears it daily and often asks lilia to cast a spell on it whenever he sees it withering.

• lilia vanrouge

  • while you were out somewhere, probably at sams shop, you saw a pretty looking flower ring.
  • thinking of lilia and how he would rather enjoy the small gift you bought for him, you purchased the said items alongside a few more.
  • walking back to the campus, you could only be fnaf jumpscared by lilia who popped up in front of you, upside down, like a bat.
  • recovering from your surprise, you quickly boop him on his nose, makig him laugh before standing up like an actual human being.
  • sitting down on the ground, you showed him everything you purchased. from antiques to books.
  • once you showed him the flower ring, his smile turned into a straight line as he stared at you.
  • it wouldn't be long until he smiled sadly, knowing you didn't know a thing that you just did.
  • "are you trying to propose? haha, in fae culture, we usually propose through flower rings."
  • "oh.. then, consider this as my promise to marry you!"
  • .. just like meleanor.
  • he could only laugh as he puts it on, did the shine in his eyes get larger?
  • he wears it wherever he goes, he hopes the day of your actual proposal is soon.

• malleus draconia

  • you were staying in your dorm before you heard the knock, like, the knock. your boyfriend is here to take you out on a nightly stroll!!
  • grabbing your jacket, knowing it's a rather chilly night, you noticed the flower ring your made yesterday for him. bringing it with you, you opened the doors and saw him patiently waiting.
  • holding your hand in his, the moon shining its light down on the pavement the both of you stepped on, the both of you either talked or kept on walking in comfortable silence.
  • the next moment you brought on a new topic, you pulled out the ring, making him stop taking a few steps forward as he stood there in shock.
  • it wouldnt be long until fireflies decorated the area near you two, giving it a melodramatic scene as you stood there, utterly confused.
  • "i accept, man of child."
  • "malleus what do you mean 😦"
  • turns out you knew nothing, not even a shred of fae culture.
  • the fireflies would be gone and it would start raining LMAOOO
  • he thought you were serious, well, you were; about the whole ring thing, but he didn't think that,,,, ☹
  • very well then, he shall be content with the trinkets he has now.
  • having the ring on him, he gets all giddy now whenever he looks at it and never takes it off.

The Summer After Graduation pt. 2

Pairing: Malleus Draconia, Silver, Sebek Zigvolt x fem!reader (separately)

Fandom: Twisted Wonderland

Genre: fluff, domestic

A/N: @ryker-writes ;) you know. It’s so early and I’m exhausted, so if there’s mistakes I’ll go back and fix them later.

Where does life take you, after you move back to Briar Valley with them?

Malleus Draconia

  • In Malleus’ eyes, the moment you agreed to be his was the moment you became engaged. A relationship with him starts and stays serious and committed due to the traditions of his species. So naturally, after the two of you graduate from NRC, you move back to Briar Valley with him and his family as his first friend and first love.
  • There are some difficulties with hostile fae at first. The traditional council would be very against your relationship with him. But according to Briar Valley lore, draconic fae children can only be born from immense love and care between a couple. So even if the royal advisors disagree with the prince’s choice of partner, they couldn’t deny him his happiness if they ever hoped for an heir.
  • So despite the protests of some narrow-minded fae, Malleus is free to bring you home with him, to live as his partner and lover. Of course, Lilia is In complete support of the two of you, as is Silver. Sebek took some time to come around- he complained a lot about how no one, human or fae, could be worthy of Waka-sama’s affections. But once Lilia pointed out how happy you made Malleus, Sebek quieted down. No one had ever seen the crown prince smile the way he did when you were around.
  • Moving into the royal palace takes some time to get used to. It’s easy to get lost in the corridors of Castle Draconia. The hallways can also seem gloomy and cold at first, and almost frightening when you walk the stone passageways at night. If you get nervous, Malleus will do his best to be by your side as much as he can, holding your hands and cuddling you at night. If not him, then he’ll send a guard or two to watch over you.
  • If you want to take part in more diplomatic duties in Briar Valley and insist that you get to know the citizens as their future queen, Malleus will be worried but support you wholeheartedly. You’re considerate, responsible, and kind, three qualities that make for the best ruler. And besides, he doesn’t want you being cooped up inside all day the way he was when he grew up. While the work you’re doing may be dangerous, Malleus trusts you to handle yourself. Just make sure to bring Silver with you along with the rest of your personal guards, just in case. Fae can be unpredictable at times.
  • When Malleus isn’t busy with his princely duties, he’ll seek you out and whisk you away to a private wing of the castle using magic. The castle is old, and even with hundreds of years of free time, he hasn’t been able to explore every nook and cranny of it. The two of you will roam the hallways, naming the various statues you come across and slow-dancing in empty ballrooms with ancient music echoing from an unknown place within the walls.
  • “Briar Valley has come alive, my dear. Do you hear that? They are greeting their new ruler. This is all for you.”
  • At night, nothing makes Malleus happier than returning to his bedchambers to find you cuddled up in the sheets. He’ll slide into bed around you, tail unfurling to curl around your body and hold you close to him. He’ll spread his wings and rest them over your body to protect the two of you while you snuggle through the night.
  • Malleus might not know much about romance, but he does know when he’s found the one. He’ll have to ask the royal jewelers for a ring soon- infused with magic and inlaid with his love.

Silver

  • All his life, Silver was trained to become a knight for Malleus. It’s exactly what he did in the years he attended NRC. But what Silver hadn’t realized yet was that it was more of an obligation than his true calling. After meeting you and moving back to the Valley of Thorns, Silver began craving a quieter lifestyle- one where he could enjoy your company without having to be on guard duty 24/7.
  • It’s Lilia who first notices Silver’s restlessness, and he takes the matter to the young king. The two of them surprise you and Silver with a little graduation present- a cottage deep in the forest. Malleus tells Silver that he’s promoted him from the title of knight to that of a lord- the land that the cottage is built upon is now his to care for and do as he pleases. He’s already had servants move yours and Silver’s things there. Silver was initially worried that he was being fired from his job for falling asleep too much, but with some reassurance from his father, the two of you were on your way.
  • The cottage is gorgeous, situated in a clearing with a meadow and waterfall. The sun caught the water just right every morning- creating rainbows through the spray that danced in the dawn. It’s the perfect place for you and your boyfriend to live a peaceful, quiet life. The nearby villages are peaceful ones, and don’t mind having two humans living in their vicinity. They occasionally come by to drop off homemade food or ask for Silver’s help, but otherwise it’s just the two of you.
  • Silver’s animal friends come by daily to help out with the chores, making the workload light. The birds do the laundry for you and hang clothes out to dry, while deer often come by to help weed the garden. Even the squirrels play their part in helping to patch up holes in the walls and roof.
  • With only light work, your days are spent by Silver’s side, going on horseback rides through the meadow and napping with him in the garden. Finally, you have time to learn all of the things you’ve ever wanted to do. Speaking another language? Reading a book? Learning to sew? You have all the time in the world.
  • Date nights become a regular occurrence; something that you couldn’t do back at the palace. One of the most memorable dates is a time where Silver covered your eyes and led you to a beautiful meadow on the mountain, overlooking a valley. As you watched, songbirds swooped down carrying a picnic basket and blanket, setting up a romantic little spot for you and Silver to lay together and watch the sun go down. While you were busy watching the stars come out, a gentle smile graced your lover’s features. Yes, the sky was beautiful- but he could never take his eyes off your smiling face.

Sebek Zigvolt

  • Sebek Zigvolt has always known his dream was to serve Malleus Draconia in any possible way. A love life and career don’t always mix, so he feels grateful that he found you- always so willing to support his dreams. It helps that you and Malleus are on friendly terms as well. Nothing makes Sebek happier than seeing his lover and his Lord get along well.
  • Life with Sebek in Briar Valley is pretty similar to life at NRC for the first year or so. Besides the fact that you don’t have to attend classes, Sebek still gets up at the crack of dawn every day to do weight training and go on a morning run, to train for the royal guard exam. He’ll ask you to get up with him, but ultimately leaves it up to you. If you have trouble sleeping, he wouldn’t want to tire you out. But for a while, you won’t be getting many lazy mornings with your boyfriend.
  • While Sebek is gone, his family will keep you company. Sebek’s mother loves to gush about her son’s younger days and show you embarrassing photos, while his father is quite happy to have another human around for once. His brother and sister love teasing him- who knew that grumpy Sebek would end up falling so hard for a human?
  • It’s a little-known fact that Sebek is actually afraid of horses- he tolerated being in the equestrian club because he needed to know how to ride if he wanted to be a knight for Malleus. Sebek will want to hold your hand before he goes to riding classes in the afternoon, and he’d appreciate it if you’d watch him- he’d feel safer if you did. He’ll do the same for you when you need him to be strong for you as well.
  • The both of you will be so proud when Sebek finally passes the class, and is certified as a real Briar Valley knight. Lilia assigns Sebek to lead a new, special battalion, one directly under his and Malleus’ command. Sebek will wear his uniform with the crest on it- a peacock with honeysuckle and iris flowers surrounding it, and a tail made of eucalyptus leaves- proudly. He’d probably wear it to sleep if you didn’t remind him to change out of his work clothes.
  • Sebek is a big deal in Briar Valley, and gone for work trips often. While you do miss his company, it also gives you time to plan surprises for him, such as learning to speak his native language. While Sebek has mostly gotten over his prejudice towards humans, he’s still immensely proud of his culture as a nocturnal fae. If you take the time to learn the language of his heritage from his mother, Sebek will realize that the feelings he holds for you are not between a human and a fae, but one between soulmates.

His Human
Edited version

Stay tuned~

Y/N's time was limited. They got a letter from Epel saying that her grandmother is ill. She and her parents were starting to worry, so she was beginning to pack to leave. She went into the forest with a heavy heart and shared the news with them. Lilia, who looked at her with a sympathetic gaze, hugged her, to which she was surprised by the gesture and returned it with all her might.

"I wish for your grandmother's health to recover. Until then, see you again next time, Y/N."

"Thank you, Lilia-san." Y/N couldn't help but cry softly in his arms while Malleus patted her shoulder. His silent support encourages her so much.

"Y/N, we are always here for you. Don't forget that, Silver softly said, earning the bird on his shoulder to twit in unison.

"WE SHALL WAIT FOR YOUR RETURN NEXT SPRING." Y/N couldn't help but chuckle at his statement before mumbling.

"Next spring..."

~~~
"Grandmama, we're back. Are you alright? Are you in any discomfort?" Y/N asked the moment she sat down beside her. Her parents were outside talking to their doctor while she went in.
"Grandmama, don't worry, I won't leave. I will be here, okay?" she whispered as she watched her grandmother move her head slowly to look at her. The state of hers breaks her heart. She clasps her hand into hers as she hums, just like she did to her when she was young.
~~~

Y/N took over her parents business while they were away. She saw Epel, who was sitting outside the shop while he stared at the scenery in front of him. He was bored. She chuckled before joining him outside. He glanced at her for a moment before grumbling.

"Augh, it's so boring out here! Didn't you get tired doing all this stuff?"

"Haha... No, I don't even have a choice. Even if I did, what choices do I have?"

"Grrr, fair point."

Y/N stared at the sky with a troubled expression, watching birds fly and go before remembering she had to go into the mail station this afternoon. But alas, she was on duty. She looked at Epel, and nervousness was starting to creep in.

"Epel?"

"Yeah?"

"Would you mind sending this to the mail station?"

Y/N handed the letter to a curious epel, who stared at the letter.

"Is this the guy you met at what you called the valley something?"

"Nice try, it was actually Briar Valley."

"Ah yeah, that! So a letter for your boyfriend?"

"Absolutely Not!"

~~~
To an aspiring knight, Sebek
How are you faring? I'm sorry for the delay; I was kept busy for the most part. For a while, I took over my parents business and had to run some errands. I was constantly asked to look for my younger brother while worrying about my grandmother, who was still ill. It was a stressful week, to say the least.
But enough about that; how was your hand? You said it hurt for a while; have you applied the ointments that I gave you? Please let me know; I worry.
From Y/N
~~~

Sebek read the letter one more time with a soft smile written in his face before carefully tucking it into his breastplate without anyone noticing, but Silver noticed his gesture and smiled softly.

"Was it from Y/N?"

"WHA?! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, Sebek voiced, attracting Lilia and Malleus nearby. Lilia grinned before teasing Sebek, who was denying everything.

"Don't be so shy, Sebek; it was wonderful talking to a Y/N, don't you think so?" Lilia teases while Silver nods before adding.

"She also makes delicious food every time she comes here."

"Agreed, especially when she brings an ice cream with different flavors." Malleus joined while Sebek was flustered.

"I... I AGREE WITH YOU, WAKA-SAMA, THE FOOD SHE BRINGS IS NOT SO BAD!"

"So you admit that it was delicious?" Silver questioned.

"Of COURSE NOT!"

"Then why did you agree if it wasn't delicious?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Fufufu, Sebek, don't be so shy and admit it, but who was better at cooking? Was it me or Y/N?" the three men look at Lilia's direction with a troubled expression. They soon both look at Sebek, who was under pressure with Lilia's question.

"HUMAN'S COOKING COULDN'T EVEN COMPARE TO YOUR SPECIAL DISHES LILIA-SAMA! WHILE HER COOKING WAS DELICIOUS NOTHING COULD COMPARE YOUR UNIQUE INGREDIENTS! "

"..."

"..."

"..."

"He finally admit it."

~~~
Y/N was in trouble. Her dilemma last year was beginning to root again when, in a mere month, it was spring again. Her parents didn't seem keen on going; they started to fight a lot more than before while she cradled her brother in her room while they fought. After managing some business, checking up on her grandmother, and watching her younger brother, it really took a toll on her. She was really looking forward to going back to the Briar Valley, but that was on the brink of bleakness.
With a heavy heart, she wrote down the letter with care. She sent it the next day while the sky was cloudy.
~~~

Silver watches as Sebek reads the recent letter with furrowed eyebrows.

"What does it say?"

"She couldn't make it back next month."

"Ah..."

They were silent. "Will you make a response?"

"After our training! I can't afford to skip my time to serve Waka-sama!"

"Sebek! Won't you make a response?"

Silver stared at him. He watched how his expression changed with different emotions before sighing.

"I Don't know."

"Why?"

"I Don't know," he repeated. He crossed his arms and stared at the ground while Silver waited for his response. Sebek pursed his lips before replying.

"I suppose it was because I don't know how to respond." For once, Sebek's voice was quiet. Silver patted his shoulder, offering him comfort.

"She would be back next spring, would she not?"

"She would."

"Then let's wait for her again, just like last year. Won't you?"

"Hrrgh, I supposed."

~~~
Months have gone by again, and Y/N this time saved her money in case her parents didn't plan on going. She was fourteen and about to be fifteen in a few months. Her grandmother was doing fine after a year of treatment. She stood by her side, watching her progress, and relief washed over her when she was finally released.
She helped her grandmother the best she could while watching over her younger brother. Her grandmother had an unknowingly serious look on her face as she stared at her granddaughter.
"Child, shouldn't you be at the Briar Valley this week?" Y/N stopped in her tracks as she stared at her grandmother with a wide expression on her face.
"Ah, I was planning to... But I would come back very quickly after a few days," She assures, but her grandmother only raises her eyebrows at her answer.
"You don't have to worry about us here, go have fun being at your youth, I will handle everything, don't worry about this old lady here, I will look after my youngest grandchild. Please, Y/N, my beautiful granddaughter." Her grandmama took her hands as she spoke softly while laying her forehead against hers, Y/N couldn't help but pause as she struggled to gulp down her sadness.
"Go, they are waiting for you."
Her grandmother whispered with a smile she knew so well. It was her expression when she was at her happiest, content, and complete. Y/N nodded, closing her eyes.
"Thank you, Grandmama."
~~~

Y/N knocked on the door, but no one answered. She was confused as to why it was quiet around here. She should have known, on the way here, it was dead silence. The animals that were scattered were nowhere to be seen. Sebek and Silver, who were often around at this time, were not present. With a downcast expression, she was about to go back when she recognized the two birds flying in her direction. They flap at her with glee. Y/N brushed her fingers against their feathers, asking where the two were. The birds looked at each other before flapping their wings. She had a troubled look on her face as she didn't understand before she felt a nudging on the back of her head.

She craned her neck and saw a horse neighing behind her. The birds flew to the horse's head before tweeting loudly. Y/N took it as a sign to sit on the horse's back before making its way somewhere else. She was nervious, she didn't know which direction it was heading from, but she trusted it was where the two were. Her surroundings changed into an opening field, stopping only when a mansion came into view. She got off the horse and caressed the birds before walking into the mansion door. She paused, debating whether to knock or not. But she knew she couldn't come back for nothing, so with little determination, she knocked on the door.

She waited. But no one seems to answer. Sighing, she tried again with a little force before moments passed and it opened. Behind the door, she was greeted by a tall man who had the same characteristics as Sebek. This would be Sebek if he got older.

Y/N was speechless for a while before asking. "Ah... Is Sebek here?"

The man watches her with curiosity in his eyes. Y/N grew nervous at his intense eyes before they flashed with recognition.

"You must be Y/N am I right, young lady?"

She nodded in confirmation. The man opened the door, letting her walk in before closing it behind her. Y/N took in her surroundings and stared at the large painting hanging on the wall. It was Sebek with his whole family. This must have been made when he was just a boy back then.

"Y/N?" a familiar voice called out.

"Silver?" Y/N couldn't help but feel relief as she caught sight of Silver, who had droopy eyes from all of his sleepiness. Y/N chuckled whilst thinking he had not change a bit.

"Welcome back, I'm sorry I didn't get your letter."

"Oh no, I didn't send it recently. It was supposed to be a surprise, but it got backfired." She sheepishly rubbed her neck while looking around before turning to the tall man and bowing. Mumbling her thank you before he nodded. He turned to Silver and expected him to see their guest, to which he expressed his gratitude. Y/N watches their interaction before the tall man leaves. Silver noticed her fascination in her surroundings but her eyes tells a different story. He shake his head his head knowingly as he waited for her question.

"Ah, is Sebek here?" she asked as she lifted her head slightly to look at him.

"Sebek is at the library for a moment; would you wish for me to accompany you there?"

"No need, I could go there myself." she refused. Silver then pointed the hallway on his left causing Y/N eyes to follow.

"Straight up ahead before turning left, there is a big door, one that is very different from the smaller ones you would pass by, that is the library." he instructed, watching how different emotions showed in her eyes before she smiled.

"Thank you so much, Silver."

"No, thank you Y/N for coming, it was the least I could do."

~~~
She opened the door knob, making a creaking sound while she pushed it inside. She breathed in the warm, dusty, woody air from the inside and went in.
"Sebek?" She called, but no one answered. She closed the door behind her, slowly walking around as she took in the number of significant books on the shelves. Her hands moved to the book spine, sliding her eyes as she read the titles. At the end of the books, she noticed a figure lying in the window nook. There he was. Sebek had a soft expression on his face, it was very different when he was awake. The book was resting on his chest while he inhaled and exhaled softly as the light illuminated his figure. She could hear her heartbeat pounding in her chest, and she couldn't take her eyes off him.
He changed. He was no longer the boy she met two years ago. His face also changed to a mature one, his physique was much more bulkier than before, and she could tell he was taller than her now. She slowly and carefully walked towards him, careful not to wake him up as she did. When she was at his side, she carefully pulled the book from his chest and was about to place it on the table near him when a hand shot up and held her wrist. Her eyes fluttered to Sebek quickly thinking he was awake, but he wasn't. He was the same as before, but his grip said otherwise. 'Is this one of his reflexes? She wondered. But she tried her luck and whispered his name, but his soft snore indicated he was still asleep. Y/N chuckled with a soft expression on her face. Before wiggling her wrist from his hold but to no avail.
She sigh and resigned into her fate while got comfortable at the chair near the window nook. His eyebrow furrowed as he mumbled incoherently. Y/N watches his form before humming a tune as she caressed his temple. She moved her head closer to his, her hair curtains the side of his face as she mumbles softly.
"Sleep tight my dear knight."
Hurrayy part 4 was finished, only one more to go! I had some major changes into the ending, often changes it before, sorry for the inconvenience!
But thank you all for enjoying this sebek x reader as much as I do I really, really, really, appreciate your support! I truly do!
What To Expect When Your Lab Experiment Drinks Formula| PT. 3
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Rook Hunt (Part 1)
Part three by popular demand! Malleus, Rook, Floyd, Sebek, Lilia, and Azul with feisty toddlers.
Warnings: angry toddlers, exhausted parents
Note: Every character has more than one child now with the exception of Azul.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Malleus Draconia
The new princes and princesses of Briar Valley are Tiny Little MenacesTM.
You are Malleus are dealing with two wild toddlers, and one extremely fire-loving baby. Fire-loving, as in, the entire room has had to be fully fire proofed, from the walls to the ceiling.
The other children love being outside and playing, which gets them out of your hair while you attempt to feed and care for baby #3, oven mitts and fire-proof gear on.
The only one that your baby won't lease a barrage of firey giggles onto is Great-Grandma Maleficia, who can pick up the child without worry, a blessing in disguise to poor you and Malleus.
Whenever you aren't trying to wrangle the littlest Draconia heir, you and Malleus' time is filled by playing with rambunctious dragon toddlers. Your oldest is still as mischievous as ever, now taking off in full distance flights with your lunch everytime you turn around, and your younger toddler requiring immense amounts of attention.
All three have been deemed the 'wildest children the Draconia bloodline has ever seen', which says a lot. You hope they grow out of it, but the little ones seem stubbornly wild, with no chance of changing anytime soon.
Long training flights with Malleus often leave you watching the skies for their return at dinner time. It's not the life you imagined. But it's the life you never expect that's the one that satisfies you.
Rook Hunt
"HEYYYYYY!!!! PAPAAAA! LOOK WHAT I CAUGHT!" It's always a peaceful evening when the children are outside, until it's not.
Your 3 year old has been regularly running in with things you don't even know how they've caught as a toddler with no weapons.
Today, it's a bird bigger than your toddler's tiny body.
Rook has been diligently teaching your children how to hunt since they could walk, taking them for small hunting trips and shooting targets with children's play-bows.
Only two of your five children are too young to hunt, in his eyes, and even then you have not escaped their sharp, predatory gaze, which has been present since birth. You have no doubts that all of your children will be hunters. It's definitely a given, and as you've seen from Rook's family, seems to run in their blood.
The toddlers go outside and play on your patio every evening when the heat cools down, allowing you and Rook to have some peace and quiet. Rook is very enamored with the family you've created together. He always dreamed of finding beauty in his future, but never knew it would be so soon, and in the form of a domestic life with a spouse and children.
You and Rook are happy with this life you've created, enjoying the ups and downs of parenthood, the thrills of hunting with your whole family, the cuddly movie nights and soft words exchanged between you and your kids every night before bed.
It's a perfect life, one you never expected get, and never to love as much as you do.
Floyd Leech
It's been challenging for Floyd to be away from the sea for so long. You both agreed that it would be easier and more comfortable to live on land for the sake of your family, but it's definitely been a source of tension. Floyd and the children both go out to sea often as a compromise, leaving you all alone with the family pets and the occasional guest.
When they're home, you all spend hours together playing and loving on each other. All seven of your little ones have grown accustomed to Floyd, and have shifted their little spats of dominance to between each other.
It's true, it's practically a full-time job to keep them all from fighting. The youngest ones are the most ruthless, attacking their siblings and destroying their surroundings entirely as they cry and whine, throwing little catty hands at each other as 'fights'. It seems to do more emotional damage than physical.
Then again, are your surroundings ever not destroyed by the 7 restless children? They're so obscenely playful that they make sure that your life is challenging to say the least. Sometimes you're glad for the break you get when they go for day-long dives under the sea. They're probably making some tornadic-like mess of Jade's home, but that's not the end of the world for you.
Your relationship with Floyd is nothing short of magical. There's still as much love there as there was when you started dating, if not more. Your family has its odd little quirks, but what matters is that you're all together, happy and proud of the life you've created. You are especially thrilled that you made your own life work in a world that wasn't even yours. You've made it your home now, and you could never feel more content than you do now.
Sebek Zigvolt
Sebek has grown to love his children very much. After your first began to love on him as often as you, he fell completely into the role of a family man. All three of your children love Sebek immensely, having grown fond of him after he let down his guard around them.
Your littlest one is the perfect carbon copy of Sebek, even at 15 months old. Not only does this child seem to possess no personality traits or features of yours, this little one's very first word was 'Mallie'. Sebek could not be prouder, and more eager to train his children in the path of a royal retainer afterwards.
Your oldest is still the wildest little mini croc you've ever seen. Nothing in the parenting books could have prepared you for your child's defiance and strong will. The other two, though relatively calmer children, seem to eagerly egg on your oldest with nonsense excited baby babble.
Now that your oldest's teeth have grown in fully, Sebek has to watch his limbs carefully. His family is known for their bite power, and this child is no exception by a long shot, seeming to have a stronger bite than even Sebek himself. Though your toddler does love Sebek dearly, they haven't learned that biting isn't a game. And after biting clean through a leg of furniture last month, Sebek has been terrified ever since.
The younger two don't use their teeth to bite people, but toys and furniture are a free-for-all.
Your children are very adept and skilled at squirming out of any situation, physically and verbally. You think to yourself that they will in fact make wonderful guards some day, but you don't ever tell Sebek that for fear that he'll make the poor things train even harder to please both of their parents.
You and Sebek end up on the floor, playing games with your very imaginative children quite often, cuddling and laughing with each other while they all pretend to be royal knights and sometimes, doctors. Sebek won't say it but he thinks his oldest would make a very good doctor and he approves.
You've never been happier, and never more in love with Sebek, as is he, you. It's a perfect fairytale world for the two of you. Who knew that Twisted Wonderland would end up becoming where you were always meant to be?
Lilia Vanrouge
C H A O S.
There's twelve little Vanrouges running around, acting absolutely chaotic and mischievous at all times. Poor you and Lilia. Twelve children under four sounds cute but it's an absolute nightmare, especially when they have the lineage of a certain silly fae.
It's manageable, but only because Silver is there suffering with y'all. And barely. Sometimes you think he's about to run out of the house and cry after some unwitting action that led to a vicious prank from one or more children.
Last week, they cornered him from all sides with sticks while you and Lilia were out, and the oldest threatened to poke him in the eyes.
Some mischief, lots pure evil.
It's only you that can scoop them up and tell them to behave, because they are absolutely remorseless in their merciless bullying of their father. Most of them don't even call him dad. They call him 'oldie'. The ones that are too young to talk still laugh at him.
Lilia doesn't mind too much, scolding them for their rudeness, but rarely punishing them. He claims he's too old to be properly disciplining them, but it's quite obvious that he's reminiscent of himself in these children.
During the good moments, you might be able to convince the children to at least make a father's day card, or get them to agree not to prank Silver on his birthday. Usually this is still done with bribery. But sometimes, the sweetest moments are unprompted. Like the time your daughter sat on Lilia's lap and gave him a hug after he watched a scary movie, because 'Daddy might have nightmares.'
Your family is wholly complete Silver hopes and prays. You and Lilia are happy, and content. Lilia is still overjoyed that he got the chance to have biological children, and you're just happy that you've found a place to settle down in Twisted Wonderland, and be happy.
Azul Ashengrotto
You only have one child still? Yeah. He loves your child dearly, but after much consideration and a lot of diapers changed, you decided one was for the best.
Your baby is three now 'Three n' a HALF', your child insists.
Your little one is pretty well-behaved. Despite being a spoiled only child, little Ashengrotto is very humble, kind, and sweet.
Definitely not like their money hungry father. This child just wants animal crackers and time at the swimming pool.
But your child is sharp-witted, just like Azul. There have been many times when you've said something to your toddler and had it immediately debunked with a smug look on their face.
It makes you laugh. And cry, a little bit. Time flies, and your child seems to mentally age two years for the physical price of one.
Your little one reminds you with a smile and crumb-littered cheeks and askew purple octopus glasses that they're still young, and always here for you. You are enthralled with your life with Azul and your baby, a real true blessing. This was how it was always meant to be, even if it wasn't how you ever thought your life would go.
Unless I write a part 4 by request this is probably the end of the series, but I really loved it! Thank you for coming along!! As always, feel free to request for more.
What to Expect When your Lab Experiment Drinks Formula Pt. 2
Hihi! Actually, I wrote that scenario for all the characters in twst I'm writing for right now (I'm new to the fandom), so I've gone ahead and made this into a followup on how they're doing as parents, hope you don't mind! Thanks the ask!
Warnings: Mild Chap 7 spoiler (Lilia), Rook & Floyd want so many kids your house is going to look like the 100 baby sims challenge.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Part one! Rook Hunt! Part Two (here), Part Three!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Malleus Draconia
Malleus is running wild with the new heir. As much as he loves you, so much of his time is occupied by playing with his baby that you don't even see him around as often as you used to.
Your new baby is named Ormr, an ancient name directly meaning 'dragon'. Malleus pouted for a bit that it didn't start with 'Mal' but you assured him that it could be a great fresh start before the Draconia family ran out of names.
While you were still a bit disoriented by the strange circumstances, you were adjusting just fine to being a parent. Your little one kept you on your toes, breathing fire onto your homework when you weren't giving them enough attention and flying away with your food when Malleus taught them how to fly short distances.
Get out the broom. There's a dragon baby with a pb&j on the ceiling.
Malleus' love of your child surprised you a bit. Though you had known that he had technically set up the entire creation of the child, you never expected for Malleus to take so strongly to the little dragon fae.
To be fair, the entirety of Briar Valley seemed to rejoice at the news of your little one, so you supposed that your child was more important than it would be to a normal family. This was the continuation of his bloodline, without posing any risk of losing you, his favorite Child of man.
It was perfect, a blissful life together.
Malleus is constantly supportive of you and works hard to be both a father and a partner. He never fails to make your family feel loved and connected, even in trying times.
Rook Hunt
Rook's baby is... Rook's baby.
The little creature is mischievous, even for its young age.
It may not be able to crawl, but provided anything of importance is in its general vicinity, it will be swiped, hidden, or destroyed with an innocent giggle.
Rook manages the child much better than you. Although you love your child to death, they seem to have inherited Rook's predatory mind in their entirety, and it makes Rook far more equipped to handle the baby's demeanor.
When you look away, you'll most certainly be hit with the first thing in reach of your little one. You blame Rook for this, who reveled in showing them documentaries on hunting through the ages from birth.
Soon, it's more complex weapons. Sharp rocks from your trip outside to play have somehow become entrapped in a very deliberately tangled slinky and thrown at the back of your head.
You know it's all in good fun between Rook & your little one, but your baby will be as skilled a hunter as Rook someday. He was not wrong to call your child his little hunter from the moment it fell into your arms.
Rook wants a large family, so you'd better be prepared for lots of little predators running around the house. Good luck trying to keep them from attempting to murder each other.
Extra: Rook is the type to remember that recipe to a tee. If you so much as mention having another child, ten more are going to show up the next day. Honestly he's waiting for you to slip up and mention it. He's absolutely in love with your family, and would be overjoyed to expand it. Best of luck to you.
Floyd Leech
As soon as you were asleep that night, little child snug in a makeshift bassinet next to you, Floyd was already sneaking out to create more children.
You woke up to six more on the bed with you, one of which woke you up directly by biting you for attention.
Overall you've had much trouble managing all the little literal ankle biters. If it weren't for the liberal help from Jade, Grim and Ace, you would not be able to manage all seven.
However, this does not stop you from loving them entirely. The babies love you to death, and you're extremely bonded to them as well. When you and Floyd fight, there's suddenly seven growling creatures lined up behind you, at the ready to attack.
Despite being 110% like Floyd, they are very certain in their favoritism. Two of your children refuse to have him nearby at all.
He claims it breaks his heart, but you catch him praising your little ones with frozen grapes and soda to reinforce their bond with you.
Definitely not what a baby should be fed but when you said they couldn't eat seafood he switched gears to 'land food', and would take no further criticisms.
The best times are cuddle nights. Twice a week, all of you cuddle up in your Ramshackle dorm room and cozy up to a movie and snacks. This continues until well into their childhoods let's be honest. It becomes a Leech family tradition.
Sebek Zigvolt
"Human! Get it! GET IT!!!"
Your baby is very adventurous.... or something close to it.
Always tumbling off furniture and rolling off changing tables, or falling down for some reason or other.
You can have ten sets of eyes on this child and it does not matter, this baby will stubbornly look into your eyes and throw itself off the couch.
There's so much chaos, constantly, when it comes to little baby Zigvolt.
Sebek's excellent training is the only reason that your child has not been hospitalized for concussions.
But his excellent training has not saved him from the baby's love of biting their father. So, so many times. Every time Sebek catches it.
Chomp.
Every time he bathes it.
Chomp.
Everytime he changes a diaper.
Chomp.
Sebek is covered in tiny little baby bites.
But oh, how your baby adores you. In between bouts of defiance and finger-snacking moods, your baby loves to lie in your arms and cuddle.
It's arguably the most comfortable time you get with Sebek and your baby.
And I do mean arguably, because Sebek swears up and down that the baby is happiest in the presence of Malleus, and it's a hill he's willing to die on. But you know he really just wants an excuse to show off your baby to Silver.
Silver is not impressed.
Your baby is the very definition of a headache to Sebek. They cry everytime they see Malleus, they hate any sort of regimen, they love to play and play and... play more. All day long. No work or training to be seen here, baby Zigvolt will NOT be having it unless you want 4 hours of ear-splitting tantrums. And the baby still won't do the work when they're done.
But still, you see Sebek in every aspect of your baby. The strength, the way your child loves you unconditionally, but treats everyone else cautiously, and overall, the refusal to do anything that doesn't align with their little baby whims.
You've lovingly termed your baby 'Stubborn Ziggy the Second'. Sebek is not a fan, but he allowed it after you let go of 'Swamp dog & Swamp puppy'.
Lilia Vanrouge
screaming.
And more screaming.
It is not the baby. It is you trying to find the baby.
"OH MY GOD I LOST IT, I LOST OUR BABY OH MY GOD---"
And then--
"Weh!" The baby pops its head out of a cabinet with its hands up the way Lilia does to scare them.
The baby giggles and coos at its own joke, making grabby hands while it waits for you to come get it.
You're just dumbfounded. You're going to have to scold Lilia, because now your little one is picking up on yet another one of his pranks.
Your baby is a lot like you, with one exception-- your baby is so playful and teasing that it honestly gives The Great Lilia Himself a run for his money.
Last week, you were frantically searching for an expensive piece of jewelry, when it dropped down on your head from the spot where little baby Vanrouge was apparently levitating it from.
Oh yes, your child's magic is coming in strong. Though Lilia's is fading, you tease that perhaps the little one is just absorbing it from him outright, showing him videos of your child's most recent magical displays of strength.
Your family bonds through jokes and playful faces, entirely. Lilia is probably a candidate for The Worst Parent on Earth, so you do most of the housework. It's not like Lilia's never offered, it's that you promised Silver not to let Lilia traumatize his little sibling. All of your best moments are spent by making space in your schedule for your family time.
Lil Vanrouge needs all your love, and Lilia Vanrouge does too. It's a fine balance between upsetting either of them, though dealing with hours of screaming and petty annoyance is not a hard decision.
Just make sure both are getting enough cuddles, and maybe don't judge growing-up lil Vanrouge when they decide they love gaming...
Azul Ashengrotto
Don't forget about Azul, please.
Your baby has the chubbiest cheeks and the cutest smile, but is it as cute as Azul? Cuter, probably. But don't tell him that.
Azul loves your child with all his heart, but he's a bit miffed that it requires so much of your love and attention.
You and baby Ashengrotto are very bonded, so it's rare to see you apart for a moment. And in that moment... Azul is putting on Full-Drama Mode. Cuddles, cuddles. More cuddles. Give him a kiss. Could you please take a bath with him? He's just so tired, he doesn't think he can take a bath by himself. Would you mind giving him a massage? You're too tired? That's ok, you scratch his back and he'll scratch yours. He's not too tired after all. He'll give you a massage.
Your little one is so much like their father, wanting all the attention and love in the world, but getting the priority treatment. Little baby Ashengrotto is Octavinelle's favorite thing ever. Everyone just wants to love on them and see their cuteness.
Azul was going to charge people to see them until you put your foot down and said no.
Azul knows how precious his child is. Secretly, he does want another. Two, just for a healthy statistical number's sake. But he won't tell you that. He's trying to come to terms with the shift in attention with one tiny octomer right now, maybe waiting a couple of years would be more optimal. He will never admit that he's jealous of your child, but claims that he's 'working through his issues when you bring it up.
But Azul will always prioritize his baby as well, even if unintentionally. In the end, the wellbeing of his family comes first and foremost.
And maybe showing off mini-mer to the Mostro lounge staff.
What to Expect When Your Lab Experiment Drinks Formula
A continuation (Mini fic Ver.) fic of what I made for Rook, HERE
| Synop.: You and your lab partner make a mistake in your potion, one that comes out looking strangely like it's related to you.. |
Characters: Azul Ashengrotto, Malleus Draconia, Lilia Vanrouge, Floyd Leech, Sebek Zigvolt, (Rook Hunt) x MC
Warnings: Suggestive (Floyd), Angst (Sebek), implied light manipulation (Malleus)
Scroll Farther Alert! There's a narration cut for the second part of each fic after the first portion. Don't miss it! Each ends with fluff. Sebek's is long, fair warning.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
You're trying to make a simple transformation potion, aging up a tadpole to a frog, when you add the wrong ingredient, and use one drop too many on the poor tadpole. The result is a child that looks eerily like the two of you...
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Azul Ashengrotto
"Holy-- great sevens, Azul, is that a child??"
He holds it up a foot away from him, equally baffled.
"Don't ask me! You're the one who insisted on using the wrong ingredients!"
"You were the one who picked those--"
"WAHHHHHH--" The baby flails its arms and fusses at your petty squabbles.
You turn your attention back to the small creature, looking disoriented from being held so far away from any solid ground.
Azul's watching too, as the child seems to scold you both with an oddly knowing glare that could kill.
You've seen that glare before--
"Azul, am I crazy, or does that thing look like you??"
"Weh." It motions towards you as Azul looks over it.
"Gracious, so it does. And it looks like you too. Look at its' nose and eyes."
You come closer to look, but the baby seems intent on having you hold it, squirming out of Azul's hands.
"Ahem, I believe the little one wants you--"
He pushes the wiggly baby into your arms, taking the moment to reposition his glasses, which had slid down with nervous sweat.
"I'll go talk to professor Crewel, there is undoubtedly something he can do about this."
Malleus Draconia
"Child of man! What is that you're holding?"
"Um... it was supposed to be a frog...."
Malleus takes it from you, holding it cautiously. The little baby he holds has soft black hair, slit-pupiled eyes the same color as yours, and suspiciously familiar shorter horns. It coos at him and motions to his horns with curious, grabby hands.
"Whatever we did, we must have touched it at the same time, Tsunotarou... Because it looks like a mix of both of us."
He puts it on the back of his neck with his arms up to support the chubby infant as it grabs at his horns.
"Hm. It's quite cute, Child of man. We can keep it in Diasomnia if Ramshackle doesn't have the capacity to care for it."
You stare on in disbelief.
"It's... its a frog with a transformation potion... we can't keep it, Malleus!"
He frowns, taking the infant down from his shoulders and cradling the small bundle to his chest.
"The potion had birch seed in it. The transformation is permanent; so I don't see a reason to get rid of it."
Malleus smiles, tickling its chubby cheeks.
"There's no way it's totally permane-- Wait. Didn't you have me add some of those ingredients? Did you know this would happen?"
Malleus is suspiciously silent.
"Malleu--"
"I'll go ask professor Crewel if there's a reversal." He sighs, handing the baby to you and moping all the way to the desk.
Lilia Vanrouge
"If you wanted a baby, precious, you could've just asked--"
You nearly slap him. So cocky, when there's a baby that looks suspiciously like you and Lilia on the table where a grown frog should be.
"Sevens, Lilia, this is not the time--"
He chuckles.
"In my defense, I told you not to use a sprig of pine."
You splutter, lost for words and flustered. The baby certainly seems to share Lilia's sense of humor, giggling mischievously at your flustered expression.
You pick it up before Lilia can, determined to barge straight into professor Crewel's office if you had to to get an answer on what this thing was.
"Heh, MC, the baby's smiling at you--" Lilia calls from a distance. You look down and find that the baby is indeed wholeheartedly excited that you're paying it attention, reaching its chubby arms up to feel your face and grab your nose.
"Aww.. so cute," You whisper, blowing a stray breath into its face for amusement.
"I heard that!" Lilia shouts from the table. "Don't go getting too attached now. I'm not raising another child, darling."
"Shush! I'm taking it to the professor right now, you have nothing to worry about."
Floyd Leech
"SHRIMPY, CAN WE KEEP IT---"
Floyd is whirling the baby around in excited twirls.
It's a very cute moment, but you're still baffled at the little creature's existence-- since it very much didn't exist about 10 seconds ago.
"Floyd, I'm pretty sure that's just an oversized tadpole..."
He stops in mock offense, thrusting the baby into your face.
"Does this look like a tadpole to you?? Unless you're suggesting that we both look like tadpoles, in which case, I'm taking offense because this baby looks like us."
He puts it down to play with its tiny legs.
"Look, shrimpy! It's going for a walk--" He pauses to think. "A sky walk!!" And continues to make the little one's legs 'walk'.
While Floyd is busy making baby noises to amuse the child, you're panicking. This potion had birch seed-- an ingredient known to make transformation potions permanent, if you remembered correctly.
"Floyd, c'mon, give it here, we need to take this to profess--"
"NOO we'll keep it!!!" Floyd holds the baby tight to his chest. "It's wayyy too cute!"
You pry the baby from him reluctantly.
"We cannot just keep a child, Floyd, it's not an animal--"
"If you take this one I'm just gonna make another one!!" He cries, moving to grab another tadpole from the tank.
"NO NO NO NO FLOYD--"
"Well don't take my little sea-star then!!"
You sigh.
"I'm almost 100% sure this is permanent anyway, but neither of us are in a position to care for this baby. We might as well take it to the professors and see if they can do something. We can't just hide the fact that we accidentally made a baby for our final project anyway---"
He mutters something about 'could've made a baby other ways, but it had to be the boring way', but allows you to go with the little one, who coos in your ear.
You hear a clatter.
"GET YOUR HAND OUT OF THE TADPOLE TANK, FLOYD--"
Sebek Zigvolt
"Human, explain. Explain----"
The baby bites his finger, which apparently was pointing at it too close for its liking.
"Ouch--! What do you think you're doing, little tyke? Do you think that just because you're an infant that you have an excuse to bite a retainer of the great Waka-sama??"
The baby looks blankly at him.
"You can't scold a baby, Sebek." You scoffed, bouncing the child on your hip.
"Fine! But you still have to explain why this child has my hair and eyes and....-- isn't that your nose?" He looks momentarily horrified as he comes to the conclusion you came to minutes earlier.
"Oh NO NO NO NO MC THAT IS NOT OUR CHILD, TELL ME THAT CREATURE ISN'T OURS--"
"For goodness sake Sebek you're shouting right in our baby's ear--"
"'OUR'?? THAT IS NOT 'OUR' ANYTHING, THAT IS YOUR POTIONOLOGY MISTAKE AND NOTHING MORE--"
He's babbling nearly incoherently at this point, and you have to stop the baby from attempting to bite him again out of what you can only assume is annoyance.
"...I would NEVER have a child with a lowly, magicless human, this CANNOT get out---"
"waah...wEHHHHHHHH"
Sebek stops talking for a moment, ears ringing.
You, too, are shocked.
"Sebek.. if it's not your child then I have ANOTHER auditory atrocity of a person to avoid on this planet."
"..."
"I'm taking it to professor Crewel."
"I think that's wise."
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
You/ your lab partner take the child to professor Crewel, who determines that it is in fact a permanent transformation, and that biologically the baby is as much yours as any other naturally born to the two of you.
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Azul Ashengrotto
"Are... you ok, Azul? You've been staring into space for a... ahem, awhile."
The baby crawls around the the VIP Room of Mostro Lounge, bumping into walls. You suspect it may need glasses.
Surprisingly, the baby seems well-tempered, unless you have the misfortune of holding it the wrong way or otherwise inconveniencing it, to which it seems highly irritated.
However, it was one 'just like your father' comment that sent the already figity Azul into an unresponsive state.
"Was, um.. was that too soon?" You ask tentatively.
"..Yes.. yes, I think it was." He responds distantly.
"Azul, it's gonna be ok. We'll figure it out." You get up from the floor to hold his hand.
He meets your gaze, eyes sharp and calculating.
"Yes, of course we'll be fine, how could we not be? Finances are no issue and we could always hire a babysitter and.... well, it's not that. It's just a lot to take in."
"Today's been wild," You agree softly, gently picking up the baby to put it in his lap. "But I'm here for you."
You lean down to the baby's level.
"We're here for you, little one."
Malleus Draconia
"I still CANNOT believe you knew, Malleus--"
You're still squabbling with him pointlessly, even though the damage is already done. You can honestly say you've well warmed up to the baby, and Malleus seems to be doing worse than you on the details, having apparently very little idea how to care for a child other than playing with it.
"I'm sorry, Child of Man. I didn't know it was permanent," He insists calmly, but you don't quite believe that.
You sigh. He can act clueless as long as he'd like, but the overly exuberant smile on his face while interacting with your child says more than words.
He picked up the baby and put it down on his bed, already having sewn little, special pillows for the baby to sleep comfortably with its horns.
"You better be a good dad, you hear me?" You say, less threatening that you thought it would come out.
He beckons you over to the bed to lay down next to your baby.
"I will, Child of Man, I promise."
Lilia Vanrouge
You knock on his dorm room door, baby on your hip.
"So..um.. bad news, Lilia... it's perman-- Are you having a party?"
He shoos out at least 10 members of Diasomnia.
"I know, dear. Unfortunately I didn't realize what you had done in time to stop you. So I was having a little 'last moments of freedom party'. How sad, and Silver was essentially all grown up now.. Well, what's another 16 years?"
You're speechless. You had kind of forgotten that he was Silver's adoptive father.
"I'm... sorry, Lilia, I should've payed closer attention to the instructions and I screwed up--"
"Hush, it's fine. It's not the end of the world."
He takes the baby from you.
"I already brought in an old cradle and some food for our little one, see?"
He points out an old wooden crib next to his bed.
"Wow... you're.. so prepared, and I haven't even thought about that stuff.."
He smiled at you, nuzzling the baby's cheek a few times simultaneously.
"I'll admit, it got me a little excited. I didn't think an old man like myself would get the chance to raise a child of my own flesh and blood. But never say never, I suppose. You have nothing to worry about, precious. What you don't know, I have already experienced."
"...Thank you for being so understanding, Lilia."
"Of course, dear, after all, we're a family now."
Bonus the one stipulation is that you will not and will not ever share the cooking duties with him. Silver makes you swear by it to avoid his own childhood traumas for his younger siblings.
Floyd Leech
You brace yourself for the inevitable flurry of excitement before knocking on Floyd's door.
"WHERE'S MY LITTLE SEA STARRRRRR~~~~" You hear from the other side of the door before the door flies open. You hand the baby off to Floyd, who's more than ecstatic.
"It's permanent," you sigh, hoping he's listening. "We have to take care of the baby now--"
"WheeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEE" Floyd runs back and forth across the small room with the child, making faces all the while.
"Floyd!" You scold, finally breaking his stride.
"Ehh? I hear you, shrimpy, how can I not? It's ok, I have a plan. We'll love this baby with our whole hearts!"
"...That's the plan?"
"I spent two hours thinking of it, do you like it?"
"That child cannot stay here," A smooth voice cuts in. "This room is much too small for the two of us, let alone a third."
"Oh, hey Jade, didn't see ya come in," Floyd remarks casually. "And obviously I've thought of that. The baby will live in Ramshackle, because there's more space. It just needs some touch ups to be babyproof, is all."
"Touch-ups? It needs a whole remodel."
Floyd grins.
"Got an idea, shrimpy. Transfer to Octavinelle! Then the baby can share a room with you and we'll all be nearby!"
"Oh forget it, I'm asking Crowley to help me improve Ramshackle. Until then, you'll have to deal with the living arrangements." You put your hands on your hips and give Jade a look that means you'll raise hell if he doesn't agree to you and Floyd's half-baked plans.
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt, so long as it was temporary."
"YESSSSS!!!!!"
Floyd's excitement leads to him jumping on you.
"D'ya hear that, Shrimpy? That means you can stay here too. And we'll be one big happy family."
Sebek Zigvolt
"Sebek?" You gently knock on his door, after having been told he'd been doing nothing but pacing around all evening.
"Sebek," you call again, a bit louder.
The door swings open violently.
"What?? Who dare disturb my-- oh. Human." He ushers you into his room swiftly.
"You still have the child? When does it leave?" He asked quickly.
"It doesn't," You said bluntly, putting down the freshly bathed and swaddled bundle onto his bed.
"Don't touch----! Ugh.. Besides... What do you mean, 'it doesn't'? It's leaving, I will not have that thing associated with the Zigvolt name just because of some lowly human's stupid mistakes!"
If you weren't so exhausted, you would be shouting at a decibel rivaling his own.
"Sevens, Sebek, it's permanent, no way around it. I can't go back in time and change this-! You were the one reading off the ingredients anyway, how dare you blame this on me?" You challenge.
"Ah-ahh.. Well, why didn't you check yourself?? Do I need to do everything for you!?" He crossed his arms.
"No, but you do need to do your task, and competently!"
That seemed to shut him up.
"W-whatever. I cannot be a proper retainer to--"
"Fine. Then don't raise the baby at all, I'll take care of it. I never said you had to involved."
"...I.. Human, I didn't say that." His tone seems to soften. You know he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders in his mind but you still find it hard to excuse his poor behavior.
He sits down next to the baby, picking it up at arms length.
"It's cute, just a bit. But I pity it.. it has even less faerie blood than me."
"Is that the heart of this?" You question gently, knowing it's a sore subject.
"Yes, I suppose so.."
"Sebek. Your heritage doesn't define you, and it won't define our child. You are an amazing, devoted person, and you've worked hard to be the person you are, and that's really all that matters. You have no reason to be upset, or worried. We can make this work, I promise. And I promise that I'll there to help you get through this. That is, if you're willing to."
He sighs, taking your hand.
"I fear I am diluting my sullied bloodline more than it already is. The Zigvolt family works with the royal family as their right-hand consults and guards. It's been that way for generations. But who would want a fae so adulterated with human genetics by their side?"
"I don't think that's true. If you really think that's the case, then why is Silver allowed to train as a protector as well? Malleus and Lilia are equally respectful of you both. You don't have to give up your family's title and honor just because of this."
He stiffens, a proud smile on his face.
"You are right, human! I shall not let this get the best of me. I will raise my child to be as dutiful as me!"
You laugh, relieved that he's warming up to the idea of having a family.
You kiss him on the forehead, giving him a hug that encompasses the baby in the middle.
"I'll work hard at being a good father, I swear on it."
Part 1 down below.
Part 2 down below.
Y/N kept herself busy for the most part. Her parents own a shop in their hometown, selling different types of dishes, and she sometimes chirps in to help in the kitchen, cleaning, or managing the customers. Epel Felmier her childhood friend, sometimes spends time with her by carving apples. When she had free time, she would often spend it writing letters, though she didn't send them to whomever she had written them to. After weeks of coming into their cabin, she forgot to ask about their address, so now she was in this dilemma of how she could contact them. She asked her mother if she had a contact name for Zigvolt and Vanrouge. But her parents reaction surprises her.
They said the last name she mentioned was pretty much held as a noble in fae society. So much so, even if they would receive the letters, there is a chance it would buried deep into other letters adressed into their family. Lilia Vanrouge on the other hand, both her parents didn't know where he lived. Y/n felt saddened by this revelation and still asked for Zigvolt's addresses. After much consideration, her parents reluctantly gave her their address. As soon as she got them, she made her way to her room and wrote a letter. She soon sent it in the same day, waiting for weeks for a response despite knowing the possibilities of a non-response. Still, she didn't get discouraged and still sent letters, hoping Sebek or Silver would respond. Days turned into weeks, and there was still no letter. And the letters she is writing turn into drafts at her table.
"Y/N dear, would you mind helping me sew the unfinished shawl I made in the living room?" Her grandmama knocked on the door while speaking on the other side.
"Yes, of course," she responds, dropping the quill at the stand before following suit. She passed through the hallway until she noticed the window was opened. It would be chilly in here if this continued. She was about to close it when she noticed the mail boxes were full from the outside.
"Ah, grandmama? Didn't you get the mail earlier?" Y/N called, still staring at the mail box.
"Yes I did hon, why?"
"Nothing grandmama."
Curious, she went outside and pulled the mailbox lid, and many letters soon started to pour out. "What?" bewildered. Y/N picked up the fallen letters one by one, to her amazement. Most of the letters were from Sebek and Silver. She honestly felt excited as she picked it up and dragged it into her bedroom, passing by her grandmother, and yelled that she would come back.
She laid down the letters, categorizing them one by one, even the date they were made. She picked up the letter addressed to her parents, laid it down in their bed chambers, and headed back into her room. She read them one by one, and nostalgia soon took its place. Silver's letter often talks about the animals that have helped him or how drowsiness always seems to consume him, and judging by his handwriting here, he was half asleep when he wrote it. And then he told her about his training and how it went well every single day. At the end of the letter, he put a reminder at the bottom, saying, Don't push yourself too hard. He knew her too well.
Sebek's letter made her laugh or chuckle. She could practically hear his voice boom, ' I have received your letter, human! How forgetful you are- You should learn from Waka-sama-'
Amused, she moves on to the next letters he has sent. He wrote about his library back at Zigvolt's estate, proud of having so many books, and kept rubbing it against her face as she read. He talked about his highness Malleus and how majestic he was. He didn't write a lot, but she was content. What she didn't expect was that Lilia Vanrouge himself wrote a letter addressed to her.
His letter was about Silver and Sebek, who waited for a letter from her. When she didn't in the first week, Sebek threw a fuss. He talks about how maybe she has forgotten them and will soon move on with her life. Lilia must be amused by Sebek because he exposed too much about him in this letter. He mentioned that Sebek exclaims every day.
-I'll grow into a successful Knight!
-I'll grow stronger every day for Waka-sama!
-grr just you wait! I'll grow taller the next time you see me!
Y/N had a fond smile written in her face, she laughed even more when Lilia mentioned how dumbfounded Sebek was when his grandfather visited them in the cabin accompanied by letters from her in a basket hanging into his grandfather's arms. He was stuttering even after receiving it, just staring at his hands wide-eyed. And then closed himself and bombarded his room with papers and ink, writing nonstop.
Y/N laughed when she indeed received a number of letters from Sebek ranting about her carelessness. At the end of the paper, Lilia made a request to her to write for his highness Malleus. Y/N was surprised and nervous. She hadn't met his highness before, so she didn't know what pleased him. But she did try in the end, she wrote as politely as possible but still treated him like a person.
She took her draft papers and began to resume them. She sent them to the mail station the next day while the sun was at its peak. When she returned to her home, she was tackled by both of her parents and grandma, screaming.
"You're going to be a big sister!!! "
"What?!"
At least she got to know why they wanted her to leave the house before.
~~~

Summer turns into fall, and fall turns into winter. With just a few more months, she could return. But judging from her parents, they didn't seem to plan on going back to the valley of thorns. They were too preoccupied with her little brother here at home. Y/N didn't mind and loved her months-old brother, but she didn't have the heart to ask them, thinking she was too selfish. But her parents didn't go unnoticed.

"You wanted to come, didn't you?"

"I... yes," Y/N admitted as she cradled her brother. "But I do not mind being here with all of you, she added.

"Sweetheart, you didn't have to be so modest. Pack your things; we would be leaving in the next few days."

"Really?! Thank you, thank you! "

"Your welcome hon, always."

~~~
She didn't tell any of them about her coming, but she knew they knew. This was around the time she met them almost a year. With excitement bursting into her body, she woke up as early as possible and packed the foods she made before kissing her sleeping brother behind and leaving a note for her parents, careful not to awoke them and head her way.
She walked slowly. reminiscing about her time here a year before. The scene looks the same as if nothing has changed. The scent of the wood and the breeze greet her with glee. She was finally here. Her feet carried her to a familiar lake. She stops and looks at the reflection on the water while she gets lost in her mind. She was afraid.
What if it gets awkward?
What if they didn't really consider her a friend anymore?
What if they thought it was a chore to write her a letter?
But then again, they would mention it.
But what if?
What if?-
"Oya? Well well, miss L/N. Welcome back. "
Y/N moved her figure so fast, and happiness was written all over her face. Worries disappeared in her mind as she turn to malleus. She was back. "Yes Malleus-san!"
~~~

"Se- Sebek?!" Y/N gasped as she took in Sebek's physical form. His hair wasn't down anymore, but he replaced it with a slick back. He was also buffer than the last time she saw him, and he was nearly her height.

"HUMAN?! HOW DARE YOU MAKE AN APPEARANCE WITHOUT TELLING A WORD!" His voice had gotten pretty louder than before, making her flinch before shaking her head. Chuckling softly.

"I did want to make a surprise, don't you see?" She went ahead and was about to ruffle his head as a greeting when he held it before it happened. His hands were much more rough and callous than before, she noted. His familiar glare greeted her, and she braced herself for what was coming.

"HUMAN! DO NOT TOUCH MY HAIR SO CARELESSLY! I TOOK MY TIME AND STYLED FOR MINUTES IF YOU LAY-" Ah she misses this.

~~~
"Silver! It was nice to see you!" y/n greeted when silver appeared a few moments later. His eyes widened in surprise before he greeted her with a simple smile and nod.
"Welcome back, Y/N."
"Hmm? Oh? What a surprised, Welcome back, dear L/N." Lilia's figure appeared behind Silver, floating. Y/N manage to hide her surprised and greeted him.
"Lilia-san! It was nice seeing you again."
Y/N brought out her basket and moved it in front of them. The scent of the food pouring from the inside "Here, I figured you all needed this before your activities for today."
The two of them were surprised. The scent was too tempting, Lilia was more delighted. "Fufufu, how can we refuse such a treat?"
~
She was bored. She knew the two were focused on their training, while Lilia and Malleus were nowhere to be seen. She watches Sebek launch himself upward to Silver, who dodges in time and plans for a counterattack when his opponent defends himself to clash his sword with his. Y/N's not gonna lie; they improved a lot compared to before. But watching them spar was much more tiring when she worried about them. She was here for days, with a routine of getting up early, making breakfast, greeting her parents and brother before making her way towards here, giving them food, watching them until nighttime, and so on and so forth.
Reading books was making her more sleepy than normal, so she switched to knitting, only to leave it back at her abode and was too tired to go back.
Sighing, she moved away from the scene and began dozing off. She found a tree branch nearby, climbed herself upward, and sat on it. Her eyes fluttered closed despite the loud sparing they were having, and she drifted to sleep.
~
"Hey, wake up." Someone nudges her in the shoulder while she sleeps. Y/N, in her half-asleep state, swat their hand and continued sleeping. She was dreaming. A really good one, she couldn't bring herself to move. Often drifting unconsciously. She could hear the person nudging her as she sighed in annoyance before a pitched boom woke her up.
"HUMAN! WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLEEP!"
"Ah! Okay, okay. Geez, please tone your voice down." Startled, Y/N positioned herself upward and held Sebek's shoulder for support.
"What... What time is it?"
"It was late in the afternoon."
"Ah... I see. Well, I guessed I have time."
"What do you mean you have time?! I do not want to escort you again late at night just like the last time!"
"My apologies, dearest knight, will you join me this late afternoon? This lady in distress wanted to hear about your achievements you've made so far this year. May I?"
"OF COURSE NOT!"
"Oh? Why not? You see, I have been dying to get to know since last year about your achievements. I must admit, your letters read nothing about it, and here I was, waiting." Y/N knew she was blackmailing him at this point, but she was curious. His letter indeed showed nothing about himself, and that was weighing on her mind.
"Hngrhh, FINE. IF YOU WISH WEAK HUMAN! I SHALL INDULGED YOU WITH MY ACHIEVEMENTS FOR WAKA-SAMA WITH MY GREAT TRAINING!"
Sebek joined her by her side while the sun was glistening up in the trees. Sebek was the one initiating conversations, while Y/N made a few comments here and there. Even teasing him from time to time before adding her own story. By then, it was already sunset. Sebek, in the end, escorted Y/N back into her house, much to his dismay. Y/N waved a goodbye before heading back to help her parents until nighttime. She fell into her bed with a smile painted on her face.
~
"Silver?! Did you see Sebek around here?!" Y/N asked, panting and almost stumbling forward in exhaustion.
"No, I didn't; why? Is something the matter?"
"Nothing happened! Thank you and goodbye!" she quickly replied before sprinting away while he looked confused. Before he remembered what today was.
"Ah, it seems I have lost track of time again."
~
"Lilia-san, Malleus-san, greetings! Have you seen Sebek?" Y/N exhaled after running around for so long. Lilia stared at her and knowingly shifted his eyes to Malleus, who also had a knowing look on his face.
"He went that way, he was also waiting for you."
"O-oh! Really? Thank you and have a nice day!" She blushed for being so obvious before sprinting again.
~
"YOU ARE LATE!" Sebek's voice boomed behind her, making her yelp in surprise.
"I'm sorry! I got caught up in something before I went here, she excuses, but Sebek notices her hesitation and is about to accuse her when suddenly his face is merely inches away with a cake.
"Happy 13th birthday, Sebek! To the dearest crocodile~ I wish you a happy birthday."
He couldn't even be mad at her when she was so shy when she held the cake in front of him. His eyes lit up, and an appreciated smile graced his face something that was rare from him.
"Thank you, human."
~
"Huh?! You can paint?! " Sebek repeated.
"Was it so hard to believe?" Y/N asked, tilting her head while furrowing her eyebrows. "Other than reading, I enjoyed making art in my free time."
"Hmm, not bad for a human like yourself."
"You are also a part human you crocodile!"
~
Y/N watches as Sebek glares at the cut page on the book that he was reading. Currently, they were at the spot they met a year ago when he brought out a book about histories and noticed a small cut on the side of the paper.
"Sebek, it was just a small piece. Let's continue, shall we?"
"I refused! I want to know who was the one behind this! Human! Help me find this person!" Oh boy.
~
"You know I am capable of defending myself, Y/N exclaimed happily.
"If you counted running away when a deer was following you, I guessed you are."
~
Y/N sat down with her legs hanging from the end of the lake while she hummed. She was taking a break from Sebek's teaching her self-defense. She had to admit that she was exhausted already, but he was a strict teacher, she had to give him that one, and he kept her on her toes before allowing herself to rest after she had committed it to her memory. Just a few more weeks until she goes home. She was starting to feel sad again.
"The next time we all meet, I hope you all are at your highest..."
For part 1
Y/N kept coming back for days. Silver didn't seem to mind and welcomed her; Sebek,  on the other hand, always greeted her rudely, to which she teased him mercilessly. Before long, they had become friends, or so she thought. She watched them train every day and always gave them something to eat afterwards with her. Their conversation mainly focused on his highness malleus and their appreciation from where they had come from. She was happy.
That being said, she wondered where their instructor was when they were training. Y/N has come here for days, nervously waiting to see if they finally revealed themselves and banned her from coming. Watching how Silver and Sebek trained, she knew it wasn't an easy task, and she was afraid that her being here was distracting them. One time she asked Sebek, who was drinking water after a rigorous training session, about their instructor and where he was.
"He is master Lilia Sama! Lilia Sama is talented in swordmanship! He is currently serving young master- " and there he goes.
After some time, y/n waved goodbye to the both of them once more before leaving with a small smile on her face. Maybe visiting here wasn't so bad after all. Just as she thought about that, she was overwhelmed with anxiety. It was running late. The sun was long gone, replaced by the moon shining up in the sky. It was the first time for her to be this late, but she couldn't help it. She fell asleep. Silver and Sebek didn't wake her up because they thought she hadn't had enough rest, so they let her. After she had awoken, she didn't want to be escorted back into her abode, but at the moment, she really wishes she had taken Silver's offer to be accompanied. Alas, there was nothing she could do.
She gripped the basket in her hand and walked quickly. She could hear footsteps following her from behind. Sweat was starting to form in her face, and then she stopped. She turned around and was about to smash them with the basket until she noticed those familiar eyes.
"Geez, human! Slow down for a minute!" his voice boomed, panting while allowing himself to take a deep breath. Y/N sighed in relief before moving her hand away. She chuckled at herself for being jittery and paranoid.
"For a human, you run so fast."
"It was because I'm taller than you, shortie."
"Grr, someday I'll grow taller!"
"Sure, sure, I'll hold onto that."
He glared at her. Having her insulting his height, he was pissed. Y/n merely laughed and ruffled his hair. This added to his annoyance and swung her hand.
"Would you stop that? Here, you forgot about this you stupid human! " He held out a book. She couldn't see much because of the darkness, so she could only rely on the texture. She positioned herself where the night sky was shining and recognized her book. Sebek followed her so he could return this; he couldn't even wait for her to return it tomorrow. But then again, it was a relief. She wasn't alone.
"Thank you, Sebek." She smiled genuinely. For a moment, time simply slowed for Sebek. He noticed her glowing in the moonlight. Her eyes held a sincere emotion that he couldn't fathom. It reminded him of his father.
"Your...welcome." was all he could reply. They thought they were the only ones in the area, but someone's been watching them from behind since the beginning.
"Fufufu, I wonder."
~~~

The next week, y/n was running late. Usually she has come as early as sunrise, but sleep consumed her yesterday, so much so that she slept like there was no tomorrow. She was on her way to meet the two when she noticed an elf-ear person standing near the river.

He was in deep thought while looking at the reflection below. He was tall, she noted. She also noticed how his aura was emitting great magic. Curious to who he was, she stands there watching him for a moment, only for him to move his head in her direction. Surprised at being caught, she began walking away to avoid him when she heard him chuckle.

"I'm afraid they are in that way." She paused, confused as to why he knew who they were talking about. Y/N saw where he was pointing and immediately moved in that direction before stopping in her tracks. She turned to him and bowed.

"Thank you, good sir."

"Your welcome."

~~~
Y/N was clumsy. She didn't notice a tree branch on the floor, thus giving her scrapes on her legs after she fell. She checked the foods and exhaled happily when none of them were damaged. She really wasn't herself just now. That being said, she carefully made her way to where the two were supposed to be, avoiding tripping when a scream broke her focus.
"Move away!" She didn't have time to react when suddenly she was pushed onto the floor with a person's weight hanging above just her. She groaned in pain and exasperation. This really wasn't her lucky day.
"Hrrgh, whatever was on top of me, please get up; I can't breathe," y/n pleaded, patting the person while they shifted.
"Human, are you alright?" Sebek's voice rang in her ears while she cried in frustration.
"I would if you got up, please!"
~~~

The four of them sat down on a blanket she had brought. Y/N was thankful more when the food was unscathed for the second time; after Sebek's action, she truly believed the food would be in chaos inside. After opening the basket, she sighed in relief. She would really go crazy if it did. Hunger makes you different.

Their instructor joins them for dinner; this is the first time she has seen him. He was really different from what she had imagined. Based on Sebek's description, she expected him to be strict and serious; his appearance must be buffed from all the training. Yet here he was. He was lean, to say the least. He also had a humour, often joking around about sebek and silver when they were little, silver often added he's own fair shares about lilia's mischief revealing how him and sebek were so scared that they hold into each other trying to stay awake, in the end silver falls asleep betraying sebek in the process.

"Tell me, who cooks all of this food?" admittedly with all of the stories and bickering. Lilia questioned Y/N while Silver and Sebek continued to interact. Y/N noticed Lila-San's stare, and she started to get nervous.

"Ah, my maman. Sometimes I help her in the kitchen," she said. Lilia hummed in response before nodding to no one in particular. Y/N furrowed her eyebrows in suspicion but didn't question.

"Y/N-san, may I ask if you are free next weekend?" Lilia asked once more with a smile on his face. Y/N blinks her eyes before shaking her head.

"I am afraid not. And even after that, my parents decided to move back to our house back at Shaftlands."

"When will you come back?" y/n and Lilia turn to look at Sebek, who listens to their conversation. Y/N looked thoughtful for a while before smiling softly at all of them.

"The next spring."

~~~
"We will miss you a lot, Silver mumbled. Y/N smiled politely in response. She managed to seize this opportunity despite packing to leave for the afternoon. She wanted to come and say goodbye before she left. But it seems the other companion has a different agenda today. This didn't go unnoticed by Silver.
"Sebek is back in the forest. Want me to go after him?"
"No need; thank you very much. Please tell him I said goodbye." Silver nodded. Dozing off soon after. She chuckled before getting startled by Lilia, who was hanging in the air upside down beside her.
"Fufufu, I wished you a safe journey, Miss L/n. I hope to see you soon." amused by her reaction. He took pity on her by simply floating by her side. She nodded happily before waving them goodbye. Silver gave a small wave and a short nod, while Lilia waved his hand vigorously.
Y/N hums to herself while she watches the sky above. She couldn't believe weeks had gone by since that faithful day. And she was glad she did. Now she didn't want to go back, but alas. There is still next year. Her humming came to an end when she heard a running sound behind her. She turned around to look and was surprised to see Sebek had come.
"Sebek?! What are you doing here?"
"I have come to give you this." She looked down at his hand to see a book lay on top of his palm, reminding her about the time he returned her book. After the event, they spent their time talking about books other than his highness. Though he still always mentioned his highness, their love for books was on another level. Recommending after recommending: They enjoyed their time together despite throwing spiteful remarks here and there.
"Oh, I bet you would love this one," y/n remarked, passing him the book while giggling.
"Seriously? A book about crocodiles?"
~
"What am I even doing here instead of training?! You force me to do your bidding, human!"
"Hush now, Sebek; don't pretend you didn't like the library enough to come back."
~
"Oh, is that about a knight falling in love with a princess?"
Sebek perked up from her statement and exclaimed, "You knew this story?!"
"Geez, not so loud, but yes, I think. I forgot the most part."
"Well, listen carefully; I'll only tell these ones."
Y/N hums in response before sitting down next to Sebek as she listens.
~
"The princess and the knight?" she asked, but she still took the book nonetheless. Sebek smirked and nodded.
"Of course, you should be grateful for my thoughtful gift!"
"Low and behold, haha," she mumbled before chuckling, much to his dismay. She hugged the book to her chest and felt content. At least she got her final goodbye wishes from him.
"Thank you, my dearest knight, for your service. I sincerely wish for your achievements to come forth in the next seasons to come." y/n courtesy while spoking the lines of a character only they knew.
"I shall wait for you here for your next return," he said, returning the gesture.
Feeling content and happy. She moved back with her parents to the village of Harvest while thinking of them every single day. She wondered what they would be doing now that she was gone, but she knows they are still training as ever.
She couldn't wait to go back.
His Human
Y/N's parents often vacation with her in a cabin near the woods every spring. The young girl, no less than twelve years old, shares a little excitement about going into the cabin every year. While she worries about dangers in the forest, her parents don't seem to worry; in fact, they even encourage her to explore, much to her dismay. Despite their nonchalance, she wasn't keen on going outside, preferring to stay indoors and read in the library all day. After much convincing from her parents and promising to buy her gifts, she finally agreed begrudgingly. Her parents showed happiness and praised her, hugging her tightly. While she wondered why they were enthusiastic about her leaving. If they wanted her to leave, they could have just said so.
Y/N sighed and left the house with a basket and book in hand. The trees swayed slowly while the forest was empty. When she walked in, she expected to see many small animals in the area, such as rabbits, birds, squirrels, and more. But she was alone. Her footsteps were the only noise. She didn't pay much attention and only hummed while searching for a place to lay down. To her luck, she found a lake leading to a spot nearby perfect for laying; the sun wouldn't be a problem, but the most perfect one is.
She laid down her basket and sat beside it. The view. One thing she notices is that the view here of the castle of the fairies is magnificent. Admiring the scenery, she reluctantly turned to her book before delving into the pages until the sun was setting.
The next day, she came back with a blanket, papers, and a quill. She was taking this time to write for her grandmother and a friend who was living in the village of Harvest. When she went back home yesterday, her parents were overjoyed once more, to the point of making her snacks more than usual. She couldn't help but puzzle at their reactions but nonetheless shook her head in response. Her hand took out a piece of bun from the basket while she was writing and began eating when she suddenly heard voices in her left side. Her eyes moved in that direction as she watched the bushes shake violently while the voice grew louder.
"I swear I smelled delicious food around here; just let me prove it to you, oh!" Their eyes met. Her eyes widened as she stared at his yellow-green slit eyes. Both look so shocked at each other, to the point of freezing from where they stand. They stood there for a good few minutes before he, the boy around her age, looked down at what she was holding and furrowed his eyebrows.
"What are you going to do with that?" the boy questioned. Y/N looked down at where he was pointing, and embarrassment started to creep on her. Unbeknownst to her, she uses the half-eaten bun as a weapon in his direction. A laughable choice indeed.
"Nothing. " was all she could reply before quickly removing the bun. They stayed silent until another figure emerged behind the boy, who was inches taller than him. She noticed the strange color of his hair and unique eyes but didn't comment.
"Sebek, if you wanted—oh hi." The other boy paused as he noticed her. Y/N waved shyly in his direction. He returned the gesture before apologizing that they may have bothered her. To which she disagreed and smiled politely.The person who was called Sebek furrowed his eyebrows more and crossed his arms while he assessed her. She, who didn't like being assessed, carefully watched him before making her move.
"If you would excuse me, I have business to attend to." She spoke, drained by this ordeal, and used this time to pack her belongings while thinking of moving to another place for a spot. Her little secret place wasn't so secret anymore. How sad that she likes this place, but oh well. The two boys looked at each other before a bicker started to take place.
"You really should apologize, you know."
"I didn't even do anything; I just stumbled into this place, okay?"
"I don't suppose my father would agree; walking into someone else's place was a boundary."
Y/N noted he was smart. And she bows to him mentally. Sebek made a hmp sound before mumbling something incoherently while she watched in disdain.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"Nothing of your concern, human; move along," he said loudly at that one. This irked her a little; who was he to order her around?
"Hmm, is that so? Well, I guess I have to put away these delicious foods I have here. Oh, what a shame." y/n knows no bounds. She tested his emotions by putting her hand in her cheek and sighed theatrically.
"I guessed if I don't eat them all, I might as well put them somewhere else."
"You!" he accused, but a grumbled sound echoed around them. The unique-eyed boy and y/n look in Sebek's direction with amusement dancing in their eyes. Sebek tensed, a blush emerging from his cheeks, and he screamed.
"Tch, what are you all looking at?!"
~~~

Sebek started to eat quickly while the other boy only sat by their side. The three of them sat down after the event, not uttering another word, when she noticed she still hadn't known their names. Sebek could be a nickname, for all she knows.

"Sorry for interrupting, but my name is y/n L/n. And you two are?" y/n introduced slowly. She watches their interaction by simply glancing at each other before Sebek gulps down his food while proudly exclaiming.

"I'm Sebek Zigvolt, and this is Silver, a knight in training to serve his great highness Malleus Sama." Y/N flinched at the volume of his voice but couldn't hide her excitement.

"Really?! As in the prince himself?!"

"Of course, human!"

"Not to you, you crocodile!"

"you!-"

Silver watches as they bicker with a smile on his face. It was a peaceful day.

~~~
"Ah, my, I apologize for staying here; do you two live nearby?" y/n asked after minutes of arguing with Sebek, finally switching to a sleepy silver who was surrounded by animals at his side. Y/N watches dumbfoundedly, amazed at how many animals are at his side at once, before petting a rabbit who launches at her.
"Not far from here, there is a cabin where I live with my father. Sebek, on the other hand, was merely visiting for training. And you?" he managed to reply despite the drowsiness enveloping him. Y/N merely chuckled and replied that she was also nearby with her parents.
"So what are you doing in this forest?" Sebek, despite their earlier debates leaving him in a sour mood, asked while cleaning the messes he made. Y/N paused for a short period of time, debating whether to tell him she was forced to explore the forest or bribed by gifts. She picked the latter.
"Oh well, my parents wanted me to explore the woods and simply chose this spot for my resting." straight to the point, or so she thought. Sebek nodded in response before noticing an inked piece of paper at the side.
"Hey, what is this?" he questioned before taking the paper into his hands. He didn't even look at the paper; he just stared at her before holding it out to her. Y/N appreciated his gesture and quickly folded the papers, placing the quill inside her pockets.
"Just a letter," she said, not indulgent him more, and soon looked up at the sky and was surprised to see how much time had passed. When she left, the sun was only at its peak, but now the sunset was at its highest.
"Well, I should head back now; it's getting late. I really enjoyed our conversation." She truly did; she smiled and waved at the two who waved her goodbye with a smile on their faces. Y/N turned to Sebek with a small smirk on her face.
"I would bring tomorrow a special meal just for you."
"Please do not ever return!"
She did return with a basket full of handmade foods her mother and she had made. Watching Sebek's expression when she truly came amused her. What an eventful day!
[Club activities - part 1]
Summary: Crowley insists you join one of the school's clubs, even though your schedule is already full. Having no other choice, you oblige, on one condition: you'll attend a meeting of each club before deciding which one you'll join. As expected, shenanigans ensue.
Notes: gn!reader, humor, it's kinda long, reader is oblivious, mentions of minor injuries but in a funny way dw, I had to research about horse management and now you'll know about it too
Part: 1 (you're here!) / 2 (soon!)
"Do I really have to do this? Isn't it enough that I already am your unnoficial errand runner, Grim's babysitter, Ramshackle's prefect and have to deal with an overblot a month on top of whatever insanity the students decide to put me through while I try to keep my grades up to not lose my scholarship?"
You really hoped he would listen to reason, after all, you already have way more than enough on your plate. As it is, he obviously didn't hear to a word you said. How unfortunate.
"Of course it's most crucial you participate in a club! As a model educator, I must set an example for my peers. How would it look if one of my students didn't partake in such an important school activity?"
Crowley looks agravated by the mere idea. You deadpan at him. He stares back at you. Grim snoozes in the background.
"Well, which one will it be?"
You sigh, as if the weight of the world was in your shoulders.
"...Can I see the list, at least?"
Crowley smiles, his whole demeanor changing as soon as he got what he wanted. You brace yourself for what is to come, knowing it will be a headache.
After taking a look at your options, you decide to go in one meeting of each before choosing one to join. You could just randomly pick one and be done with it, but since you're already being forced to do this, you should do something you enjoy.
The headmaster gives you a genial smile and agrees on your conditions, telling you how kind he is for doing so and how it will be great for your education. You glare at him, defeated.
Better start sooner than later, right?
