House Speaker Paul Ryan announces policy agenda for House Republicans that seaks to dismantle what's left of the regulatory and welfare states, as well as the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, and all Obama era climate and labor regulations. The new Republican agenda seeks, not only to return us to an imaginary fantasyland of 19th century rough-and-tumble gilded era Capitalism, but would instate and reinforce current upward redistributionary trends. Effectively reverse engineering the early 20th century Welfare State, and taking neoliberal economics to all new heights and extremes.
