I've been saying for a long time now the US is on the verge of Civil War. It's clear now we're tumbling in slow motion towards exactly that. With the recent racially charged murders by police and white civilians, and the Fascist protestors surrounding State Capitols, there's no longer any room to deny the reality of the situation. LA and Minneapolis riots are escalating as I write this.
Years ago the Socialist Left should have been organizing and aligning with similarly minded people. Now, as we tumble towards chaos, like a slow motion riot, the Fascist Right is organized and supported openly by large portions of the white working class and rural communities, among others.
And the Left, as usual, is in complete chaos, with a Democratic Party that once again interfered in a Primary race and so we're supposed to support Joe Biden, the most Centrist Establishment figure that's ever existed. What a joke.
We're running out of time. The Left needs to organize. I don't care how we feel about each other's individual ideologies, for now we need to work together or we're going to be quickly overtaken by the highly organized Far-Right led by the super rich and Fascist Organizations.
We don't have a decade to wait anymore. We need to act quickly and get our communities involved. We have no time. Talk to your local Progressive Organizations, as well as Socialist and Communist Organizations to begin to form a temporary United front against the Fascist forces intimidating Establishment figures like Governor Bashear in Kentucky. Politicians like that will NOT resist the Fascists for long, if they do at all.
The time for talk is over, take action locally NOW

I hope everyone who reads this decides to look at their blog just to see how serious I am.
I'll tell you why we have to let people like that say what they want. America learned one big lesson from previous empires. By allowing freedom of speech and protecting it to a degree (of course there are historical exceptions, the FBI for example is notorious for using terrorism statutes to go after and imprison left wing organizations) but in general allowing these fascists to say whatever they want and just ignoring their existence has been a far more successful strategy than shutting down their speech. Usually by ignoring them, their movements and organizations just fizzle out and end so far out in the woods that no one takes them seriously.
But recent left attempts to drown out or shut down far-right speech has resulted in far greater attention and that attention in turn has allowed them to grow far larger then ever before. Richard Spencer goes to left leaning schools like Berkley for a reason. He openly says that every time Left wing students shut down his speeches or get violent, his organization grows exponentially larger.
When we stop giving these people the attention they crave, they will shrivel up and disappear just like the Nazi Party of America did in the 1930's. Let these lunatics say what they will and ignore them completely. Then they will back out in the wild where they belong.
