Battle of the Ships
Round 1 Part 4 Poll 7
they built that bitch in real life!! vote dutchman now!!!!
they built TWO of her in real life (well one and a half) -- the half ship was able to be submerged and yanked up through the water by an insane fuckoff hydraulic system to get realistic footage of her breaching the water's surface !!! so the scenes where she comes up from the deep??? ACTUAL PRACTICAL EFFECTS ENHANCED WITH CGI
Water from Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean. Scooped out of the ride in summer of 2010. The bottle was all the way full, and it now almost halfway gone. As of today, it still smells.
For yohoyohoadisneylifeforme
My Pirates water is almost completely gone, down to about ¼ of the bottle :/
stop drinking the pirate water
Sorry it’s good and it heals me
I hate this post so goddamn much. I cannot believe how many of you think I actually drank the water. I hope when it all evaporates away that this post goes with it.
Guess what assholes
2020 really taking everything from us huh 😔
I am sad (happy) to report: my water has officially 100% dried up. Which means it’s time for this post to die along with it.
Imagine saying the water dried up as if you didn’t drink it
About 10 years too late with this info
I bet you wished you knew that so you could really age that water before drinking it
Next time seal the cork with melted wax. But you know, if it evaporated into the air, what you did was INHALED the water. Which is much less likely to cause bacterial infections than drinking it, so way to go!
The seas be ours, and by the powers; where we will, we’ll roam. Yo ho, all hands, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars; never shall we die. Some men have died and some are alive and others sail on the sea. With the keys to the cage and the devil to pay, we lay to the fiddler’s green.Yo ho haul together, hoist the colors high. Heave ho, thieves and beggars; never shall we die.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
But like Barbossa asking Elizabeth to take off the dress he gave her before walking the plank and the entire crew of the Black Pearl whistling and hollering as she takes it off to reveal another full length long sleeved dress is just hilarious to me
It isn’t a dress, it’s a chemise, usually worn under corsets (so the corset didn’t get dirty and also prevented the bones of the thing being against your skin), so, literally, underwear. It’s the equivalent of being left in panties and a not-padded bra. Just imagine the whole scene after Jack rescues her from drowning from that perspective. That’s also why it’s found as preferable for her to wear a man’s uniform after Jack and her get rescued by James.
Tbh she had a better chance of not drowning without a heavy dress weighing her down.
It’s always belonged to you. Will you keep it safe?

awkward when you have a ship full of gay pirates encountering a puzzle with a heteronormative answer.
